Abstract

Raman reservoir is located at north of Metro City, Lampung. The water resources of the reservoir comes from Way Bunut and Way Raman rivers. The Way Bunut and Way Raman rivers flow into the Raman reservoir which is used for a variety of human activities, including fish farming with the floating net cage system, tourism, and agriculture. These activities produce organic and inorganic materials into the waters so that it may cause changes in water quality and trophic states levels, therefore research is carried out on the trophic states based on the abundance of phytoplankton and chlorophyll-a content in the waters of the Raman Reservoir. The purpose of this study was to assess the trophic states of the Raman Reservoir based on the abundance of phytoplankton, chlorophyll-a concentration, and Nygaard Index. This research was conducted in January-March 2020. The data was collected using purposive sampling method. The parameters used in this study were abundance of phytoplankton, chlorophyll-a, primary productivity, brightness, depth, temperature, DO, pH. Trophic states results based on the concentration of chlorophyll-a in the morning range from 0.0007 - 0.0274 mg/L while at noon it ranges from 0.0083-0.0769 mg/L. The results of these measurements can be categorized as chlorophyll-a content in Raman Resevoir was still in the category oligotrophic. The results of trophic states based on the Nygaard index it shows the category of eutrophic.

Abstract

Title: Dissemination of Aquaponics System as Freshwater Fish Cultivation Income Alternatives in Central Lampung RegencyLampung Province has enormous potential to be developed as the largest fish producer in Indonesia, both freshwater fisheries, brackish water (shrimp and milkfish ponds) and marine fisheries. However, the fish consumption rate of Lampung Province is still below the national average. However, the consumption rate which is still relatively low enough is to prove that fish consumption in Lampung Province has good and promising prospects for fish producers. This study aims to examine the process of dissemination of system information, identify the target community of incubation activities, formulate methods/models of incubation system, carry out socialization of incubation method/models through the diseemination process, develop pilot plants for incubation activitis through dissemination process and identify the added value of the aquaponic system information throuh dissemination process for freshwater fish farmers. Data analysis in this study was carried out using qualitative descriptive analysis methods, SWOT analysis and financial feasibility analysis. This study time starts from the incubation time itself.

Abstract

Soursop fruit is one of the commodities in Bumi Jaya village, where soursop fruit is a fresh fruit that is easily damaged and spoils quickly. Therefore, training is needed to deal with this problem. The purpose of this service activity is to increase public knowledge through training in making soursop jam. The activity was carried out in January 2023 in Bumi Jaya Village, Suka District, West Lampung Regency. Respondents in the activity were Team PKK. The method of implementation is survey, education/ speech, practice/demo and evaluation. From this community service activity, it shows that the people of Bumi Jaya Village are enthusiastic in participating in activities starting from the socialization stage to practice/demo on how to make soursop jam, thus increasing knowledge in processing soursop fruit into soursop jam which is useful in product diversification and increasing product shelf life.

Abstract

ishermen are one part of the community members who have the lowest level of welfare. The COVID-19 pandemic is an event that causes the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 around the world. The pandemic has caused global socio-economic disruption, the postponement or cancellation of sporting and cultural events, and widespread concern about stock shortages driving panic buying. A household is said to have food security if its inhabitants are not in a state of hunger or feel threatened by hunger. The linkages between the lives of coastal communities and fishermen in Lampung Province are quite concerning, coupled with the COVID-19 pandemic requiring special treatment to improve their welfare and standard of living, one of which is by increasing food security for coastal communities and fishermen. The most appropriate effort is to carry out a post-COVID-19 Pandemic Food Security Strategy modeling for Coastal Community and Fisherman Households in Lampung Province. The research was carried out from April to September 2022 in Labuhan Maringai subdistrict, East Lampung Regency. Sampling was done purposively. The data collected from the survey results have been analyzed statistically descriptive and inferential. The level of food security for the respondent's family is in the moderate category, meaning that the respondent can provide, reach and use it quite well but not optimally. The community has not been able to ensure that the food security component can run consistently at any time. This happens because the income of fishing households is very unpredictable, this can also determine the ability of the family to provide food. The influence of the education level of a housewife has an indirect effect through her nutritional knowledge. Food knowledge has a more direct influence on food security, meaning that the knowledge of housewives related to food is the basis for action in realizing food security at the family level.
