Abstract

Karya sastra merupakan suatu cara yang efektif dalam rangka penguatan nilai-nilai berkarakter pada peserta didik. Keberadaan karya sastra di dalam komponen pembelajaran peserta didik setidaknya dapat memberikan sumbangsih dalam rangka mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa yang tidak hanya memiliki intelektual dan terampil dalam segala bidang, akan tetapi juga memiliki karakter yang baik, seperti yang tercantum pada Pasal 3 Undang-undang Nomor 20 tahun 2003. Cerita rakyat merupakan suatu bagian dari karya sastra yang di dalamnya memuat cerita-cerita yang berasal dari suatu daerah atau tempat yang disampaikan secara turun temurun serta tidak diketahui sumber aslinya. Sebagai contoh dari cerita rakyat yang berasal dari Sumatera Selatan adalah “Sembesat Sembesit”. Fokus utama dalam tulisan ini adalah membahas penguatan pendidikan berkarakter peserta didik melalui nilai moral pada cerita rakyat “Sembesat Sembesit”.  Adapun metode yang  digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif, yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai moral apa saja yang dimuat dalam cerita rakyat Sembesat Sembesit. Simpulan yang diperoleh dari hasil analisis muncul nilai-nilai moral yang bersifat edukatif pada cerita rakyat “Sembesat Sembesit”, seperti penilaian yang terdapat pada sikap spiritual yaitu nilai religius dan penilaian pada sikap sosial  yaitu jujur, tanggung jawab, toleransi, gotong royong, dan santun.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the incidence of the shift from Javanese to Indonesian among children in the village of Sidoharjo. The method used in this research is a qualitative research method that is carried out to describe or provide an actual picture of the process of the shift in Javanese language in Sidoharjo Village, Air Salek District, Banyuasin Regency. This research is focused on three domains in everyday life. These three domains include the family realm, the educational realm, and the religious realm. Based on the three domains, it is produced that the shift in the use of Javanese against Indonesian occurs in these three domains with the following percentages, in the family domain the shift in Javanese to Indonesian is 78%, in the environmental realm it is 65%, and in the religious realm it is 50% . In conclusion, there has been a shift in the use of Javanese towards Indonesian with a fairly high percentage of more than 50% among children in Sidoharjo village, Banyuasin district. Abstract

Artikel ini fokus bagaimana pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring pada pandemi Covid-19 di SMP Gajah Mada 3 Palembang. Penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif, sehingga metode yang digunakan dalam memaparkan hasil penelitian bersifat deskriptif. Subjek penelitiannya yaitu guru dan peserta didik kelas tujuh. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara angket yang sudah diunggah ke google form dan kemudian link-nya diteruskan ke peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring pada peserta didik SMP Gajah Mada 3 Palembang di masa pandemi Covid-19 cukup efektif karena guru memberikan penugasan dan pemberian materi selama proses pembelajaran daring melalui grup Whatsapp. Hal ini terlihat dari hasil angket yang diberikan ke peserta didik bahwa saat pembelajaran daring guru memberikan materi dan jadwal belajar secara daring yaitu sebesar 92.9 %; hasil ketika guru menjelaskan materi dengan video melalui aplikasi di grupWhatsapp adalah sebesar 50%; hasil ketika guru memberikan petunjuk pengerjaan sebelum memberi latihan adalah sebesar 71.4%; hasil ketika waktu yang diberikan oleh guru untuk mengerjakan tugas cukup lama adalah sebesar 64.3%; hasil pada pembelajaran dari guru terkadang menunjukkan atau memberikan hasil penilaian terhadap tugas yang diberikan kepada peserta didik adalah sebanyakl 61.5%; serta hasil pada proses pembelajaran daring peserta didik kadang - kadang mengalami kesulitan adalah sebesar 50%.

Abstract

There is a need for standards to set linguistic or language standards, or determine language parameter policies required by students. Analysis of language needs is one of the strategies to determine the proposed language policy in the field of education. One of them is by examining student needs for language learning as a material for redesigning the Indonesian Language Course Syllabus. The research focus is oriented to the needs of students reviewed based on an analysis of students' language needs in Indonesian Language Courses, as a material for redesigning the Indonesian Language Course syllabus in Bina Darma University, 2022. The researcher uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The data collection techniques was a questionnaire. Data analysis used content analysis. For the credibility of the research, the researcher did member checking. The results of the study discovered students' difficulties in language and students' needs for language skills as material for redesigning the syllabus for Indonesian Language Courses in Universities.

Abstract

In the 2013 curriculum, which applies integrated thematic learning, Indonesian plays an essential role as a vehicle for carrying knowledge, from being a means of communication and a means of thinking. Therefore, language errors must be minimized in teaching and learning. This study aims to describe the types of errors and the causes of errors in writing the Final Semester Examination questions in Thematic 1 and Thematic 2. This research was carried out at Baitur Rahmah Elementary School. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection methods used are observation and interviews. The data analysis technique was carried out through three stages: note, listen, and record. This research uses data source and method triangulation to test data validity. The study results illustrate that there are still many spelling, word, and sentence errors. This is caused by several sources, namely the last educational background of the teacher who teaches, the lack of understanding of the rules in writing, and the lack of accuracy in making the questions.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form of code-mixing in the interaction of buying and selling at the Bintang Kejora Jaya Restaurant, as well as the factors causing the mixing of code codes in the exchange of buying and selling at the Bintang Kejora Jaya Restaurant. This type of research is qualitative research through a case study approach. Data collection techniques use listening, tapping, note-taking, and recording techniques. Data analysis techniques use descriptive methods. From the results of these findings, it was identified that there were findings of code mixing in the form of words, phrases, clauses, and word loops. Factors causing code-mixing include linguistic elements such as low word frequency, Pernicious humanity, Oversight, and End (purpose and goal).

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model on improving the biographical text writing skills of class X students at SMK Madyatama Palembang. The research method used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental type using a one group pretest-posttest design. The research sample consisted of 33 students selected through purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique was carried out through a biographical text writing test, while data analysis used the normality test, paired sample t-test, and N-Gain test with the help of SPSS version 25. The research results showed a significant increase in students' writing skills, marked by an average pretest score of 43.3 which increased to 80 in the posttest. The results of the hypothesis test show a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, so it can be concluded that the PjBL model has a significant effect on biographical text writing skills. Apart from that, the N-Gain test result of 0.58 is in the medium category, which shows that the PjBL model is quite effective in improving students' writing skills. Thus, the PjBL model can be used as an effective and contextual learning alternative in improving biographical text writing skills.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the forms of directive speech acts that exist in the reader's voice in the Mang Sripo Report rubric of the Sriwijaya Post newspaper. Data analysis was carried out in research since the data collection process. From the results of the analysis, it was found that the form of directive speech acts contained in the Mang Sripo Report Rubric: the voices of readers of the Sriwijaya Post newspaper which the author found had twelve data consisting of the form of asking for seven utterances; ask as many as four utterances, and prohibit as many as one utterances; Of the three forms that have been found, the form that is most commonly found in the form of asking.
