Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the slang used by Muhadi Setiabudi Brebes University students in WhatsApp to lecturers of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education study program. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The data collection technique used structured interviews. The author did this with several students who at that time communicated using effective sentences either outside the campus or during teaching and learning activities. Types of data and data sources obtained directly from the field through interviews with students who carry out activities with social media. The results of the research on the slang used by UMUS students in WhatsApp to lecturers of the Indonesian language and literature education study program: sociolinguistic reviews include: 1) colloqial slang, 2) variations in terms of speakers, 3) diction, 4) meaning in sentences, 5) emphasis Specific targets that will be achieved, namely students are expected to be able to use the effectiveness of sentences against usage on social media. So that the existence of effective sentences can be applied in social life. Keywords: Effective Sentences, Slang

Abstract

Language is an utterance to be conveyed and packaged in the form of expression and has a function as a communication tool in certain situations in various activities. The style of satire has a figure of speech which is divided into five figures of speech, sarcasm, cynicism, anti-racism, irony. Tekotok is an animation created by Bilal and Beto, which was designed in December 2020. The storyline for tekotok is very concise. However, it is in line with everyday life, and contains satire, knowledge, light jokes, comparisons, anxiety, and criticism from many parties, to the personal emotionality of the animators. The video presents unique and critical information about the government. Researchers used qualitative type research through descriptive methods. Qualitative Research is research that is commonly used in humanities research, social sciences, and other types of research. Qualitative research is describing in the form of content analysis, namely research that leads to content studies that have a direction and purpose to interpret the values that exist in research objects through verbal descriptions. The research design used in the following research is descriptive qualitative research. Qualitative descriptive research is a type of research that aims to provide a general description of the social environment, the correlation events being tested. Qualitative research is a research method that examines a person's writing or speech and attitudes that can be studied. So, in conclusion, satirical language is the use of language style in the application of everyday life which has the aim of satirizing the object of conversation or someone. Researchers put forward an article about how the meaning of satire language is in one of the YouTube channels.

Abstract

The act of speaking involves the production of sounds in words which are very good for expresing thoughts, ideas and emotions. As a communication tool, it not only conveys the speaker’s ideas to the listener, but serves various purposes based on the speaker’s intentions to the listener, but serves various purposes based on the speaker’s intentions. In the realm of communication acts there are 3 different types, namely Locution, Illocution, Perlocution. For research using qualitative methods, this research investigates the occurrence of perlocutionary speech acts in conversations between students and teachers, as well as between students themselves, preferably during learning or when break time arrives. This research serves to highlight the significant impact of context and speech influence, and emphasizes the importance of further studies in this area

Abstract

Role is a form of responsibility related to a person's status. Meanwhile, position is a person's position both in the family and society. This research aims to determine the depiction of the role and position of women in the novel Wigati: Lintang Manik Woro by Khilma Anis. This research focuses on the role and position of women which results in gender inequality. The form of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative using a feminist approach. The data collection techniques used were reading techniques and note-taking techniques with data sources in the form of words, sentences and fragments of speech which were thought to contain the role and position of women. The results of the research are a description of the role and position of women which has been analyzed using a feminist approach.
