Abstract

  This study aims to analyze the base sectors, structural shifts of the regional economy, leading sectors, and the influence of leading sectors on economic growth in Trenggalek Regency for the period 2015-2024. The methods employed include Location Quotient (LQ), Shift Share, Overlay analysis, and multiple linear regression using Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) data at constant prices. The results show nine base sectors, with Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries recording the highest average LQ value of 2.29. The Shift Share analysis reveals that all economic sectors posted positive Proportional Shift (PS) values, indicating an ongoing structural transformation of the regional economy from the primary sector toward the secondary and tertiary sectors. The Overlay analysis identifies six leading sectors: Mining and Quarrying, Real Estate, Business Services, Government Administration and Defense, Education Services, and Health Services and Social Activities. Regression results indicate that the Financial Services and Insurance sector and the Other Services sector each exert a positive and statistically significant effect on economic growth at the five-percent significance level, while the Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries sector does not demonstrate a significant effect. Simultaneously, the three independent variables explain 95.97 percent of the variation in economic growth in Trenggalek Regency, confirming the strategic role of leading sectors in driving regional economic development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the condition of labor absorption in Tulungagung Regency during the period 2010–2024 and to identify the influence of economic growth, government expenditure, and average years of schooling on labor absorption in Tulungagung Regency. This research employs a quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Tulungagung Regency and other related institutions. The data used are time series data covering the period from 2010 to 2024. The analytical method applied in this study is multiple linear regression using EViews 12 software to determine the effect of independent variables on the dependent variable. The results of the analysis indicate that economic growth in Tulungagung Regency does not have a significant effect on labor absorption. Likewise, government expenditure does not significantly affect labor absorption. On the other hand, average years of schooling have a positive and significant effect on labor absorption in Tulungagung Regency. Simultaneously, economic growth, government expenditure, and average years of schooling significantly influence labor absorption in Tulungagung Regency. These findings suggest that improving the quality of human resources through education plays a more substantial role in increasing labor absorption than economic growth and government expenditure.

Abstract

  Lokasi pengabdian berada di Desa Kampunganyar Banyuwangi yang memiliki potensi UMKM beranekaragam meliputi jajanan khas tradisional, makanan dan minuman hasil pertanian, hingga kerajinan. Namun masih banyak pelaku UMKM di Desa Kampunganyar Banyuwangi yang belum memaksimalkan kreativitas pada desain kemasan produknya. yakni menggunakan desain kemasan sederhana tanpa desain menarik dan informasi produk yang lengkap. Tujuan dilaksanakannya pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan daya jual UMKM Desa Kampunganyar Banyuwangi melalui kreasi desain kemasan produk. Waktu pelaksanaan pengabdian yakni 2 bulan terhitung mulai 22 Juli 2025 hingga 19 September 2025. Kegiatan pengabdian ini didukung oleh DPPM Kemdiktisaintek melalui Program Pemberdayaan Masyarakat oleh Mahasiswa (PMM). Pelaksanaan pengabdian dimulai dari analisis situasi mitra, pelaksanaan kegiatan berupa sosialisasi dan pelatihan desain kemasan melalui penyampaian pentingnya desain kemasan yang menarik dalam pemasaran produk serta tutorial pembuatan desain kemasan atau logo atau flyer digital melalui aplikasi Canva, serta diakhiri dengan evaluasi. Hasilnya, sebanyak 20 dari 24 UMKM mitra (83,3%) berhasil menyelesaikan praktik pembuatan desain kemasan, logo, dan/atau flyer secara mandiri menggunakan aplikasi Canva. Kegiatan pengabdian ini memiliki potensi keberlanjutan apabila pelaku UMKM secara konsisten mengimplementasikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang telah diperoleh sehingga turut meningkatkan daya jual produk UMKM Desa Kampunganyar.
