Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) whether the spatial ability of students who use mathematical learning-assisted software Cabri 3D is better than students who use conventional learning (2) How improvement of spatial ability students who study mathematics aided software Cabri 3D (3) How is the response students towards mathematics assisted Cabri 3D software. This experimental study conducted at MTs Sindangsari in the second half for the academic year 2015/2016 with the draft nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study were all students of class VIII MTs Sindangsari. Sampling was done by using sampling techniques purposipe. From the selected sample, one class into a class experiment, ie classes given mathematics learning assisted software Cabri 3D and one class as the control class, the classes given conventional learning. Measurement of spatial ability tests performed using an instrument shaped spatial abilities test description. This instrument has qualified the validity and reliability of the instrument. The results showed (1) spatial ability of students who use mathematical learning-assisted software Cabri 3D is better than students who use conventional learning, it is based on test results mean difference using the U test which showed z count > z table (2) Improved spatial ability of students to use mathematics learning aided software Cabri 3D is better than students who use conventional learning, it is based on test results mean difference score n-gain using the t’ test that show

Abstract

This paper presents the findings of research on the application of contextual learning on the circle material to improve the ability of problem solving math. This studi aims to determine the action of class VIII C SMP Negeri 1 Cibingbin, Kuningan regency. Research activities are carried out through lessons learned in two cycles. Based on the result of research shows that the result of student learningon the cycle 1 and the cycle 2 has experienced a significant increase. In cycle 1 the average score is 68,00 with 50 % completeness, while in cycle 2it is obtained an average of 80,31 with completeness 81,25 %. It shows an increase in average score of 12,31 an increase in learning mastery of 31,25 %. From the contextual response of the contextual learning on the circle material has made an excellent response from the students of SMP Negeri 1 Cibingbin, wich is 92,19 %. Furthermore, seen from teacher performance activity also there is improvement. If in the first Cycle the tacher’s performance earned an average score of 83,00 which is included in the criterion well, then in the second melt the average value of 92,00 which is included in the excellent category

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the application of make a match learning model can improve students' understanding in the material set.This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects of this study were the students of class VII A SMPN 2 Kalimanggis District Kuningan academic year 2016/2017. The study was conducted collaboratively between researchers, observers, and subjects studied. Implementation of this research is done in the even semester of the academic year 2016/2017. This classroom action research process is conducted in two cycles, each cycle consists of four main actions: planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The end of each cycle is tested using question instrument. The test used is a description test performed at the end of cycle I and cycle II. Besides as an evaluation tool, this test is conducted to know the students' understanding. Data processing techniques student learning outcomes are performing tests, collecting test results, correcting test results, scoring the acquisition of test results, determining the value of test results and determining the average value.The results showed that the average value of learning outcomes in the first cycle to get the value of 75 and the second cycle of the average value of learning outcomes increased to obtain the value 87. Similarly, the results of student activity observations showed an increase. In the first cycle of participation and activity of students is 60% and in the second cycle of participation and student activity increased to 80%, so most of the participation and activities of students categorized well. While the results of teacher performance observation obtained the value of implementation aspects of observations in the first cycle of 80% and in the second cycle managed 100%. This study concludes that make a match learning model can improve students' comprehension ability in Mathematics subject in the material set.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of learning Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) Assisted by GeoGebra Software for communication capabilities mathematically students in Geometry transformation material. The population in this study is a class XI student of SMK 3 Kuningan academic year 2013/2014. Election The sample was purposed random sampling, in the selection of samples obtained XI-TSM 2 students as the experimental class and XI-TSM 4 class as the control class. The experimental class is taught by learning Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) Assisted by GeoGebra Software, while the control class is taught with expository learning. Data retrieval was obtained by the results of the pretest and posttest to obtain data on the value of spatial abilities and mathematical communication skills of students which were then analyzed by a mean difference test. The results of the study were: (1) Improved mathematical communication skills of the experimental class students better than the control class. (2) There is a positive response between CAI learning developed

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan: 1) Materi yang dianggap sulit oleh siswa kelas VII yang mengalami kesulitan belajar pada mata pelajaran matematika Semester Gasal di SMP Daarut Tauhiid Bandung, 2) Karakteristik kesulitan belajar matematika yang dialami siswa kelas VII di SMP Daarut Tauhiid Bandung, 3) Faktor penyebab kesulitan belajar matematika yang dialami siswa kelas VII di SMP Daarut Tauhiid Bandung, 4) Upaya guru dalam menangani kesulitan belajar matematika yang dialami siswa kelas VII di SMP Daarut Tauhiid Bandung. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII yang mengalami kesulitan belajar matematika, guru kelas VII dan orang tua siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis melalui langkah-langkah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Teknik pemeriksaan keabsahan data dilakukan dengan triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Materi yang dianggap sulit oleh siswa yang mengalami kesulitan belajar matematika yaitu: bentuk dan operasi bilangan pecahan, bentuk dan operasi aljabar, persamaan dan pertidaksamaan variabel, perbandingan dan skala 2) Karakteristiknya yaitu adanya gangguan persepsi visual (meliputi memori, urutan, dan abstraksi) dan kesulitan dalam bahasa dan membaca, 3) Faktor yang mempengaruhi siswa antara lain minat dan motivasi belajar matematika yang rendah, keluarga yang belum mendukung secara optimal, dan kurangnya media pembelajaran matematika yang dipakai oleh guru, 4) Upaya yang dilakukan guru antara lain memberikan bimbingan belajar secara berkelompok pada jam tambahan, meminta siswa yang pandai untuk membantu guru mengajari siswa yang mengalami kesulitan belajar matematika, melaksanakan tes remidi, dan memberikan tambahan tugas untuk untuk dikerjakan di rumah.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menelaah peningkatan kemampuankomunikasi matematis siswa melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe InsideOutside Circle. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Populasidalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII salah satu SMP Negeri di KabupatenCirebon tahun ajaran 2011/2012. Sampel untuk penelitian ini diambil satu kelasdengan teknik purposive sampling yang pembelajarannya menggunakan modelpembelajaran kooperatif tipe Inside Outside Circle. Instrumen yang digunakan dalampenelitian ini adalah soal tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Analisis datadilakukan terhadap rata-rata postes tiap siklus. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahuibahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yangpembelajarannya menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Inside OutsideCircle pada pokok bahasan fungsi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang pengaruh model Pembelajaran MatematikaInteraktif Berbasis Komputer Tipe Drill Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan SpatialSense Siswa SMP dalam Materi Bangun Ruang Sisi Lengkung. Populasi dalampenelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 2 Kadugede yang berjumlah 8 kelas,sedangkan untuk sampel diambil kelas IX C sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas IXD sebagai kelas kontrol. Data hasil penelitian dijaring melalui instrumen teskemampuan spatial sense , pedoman wawancara, dan angket siswa.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa : (1) Kemampuan spatial sense siswa SMPyang mendapat pembelajaran matematika interaktif berbasis komputer tipe drill lebihbaik daripada siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran konvensional. Peningkatankemampuan spatial sense siswa SMP yang mendapat pembelajaran matematikainteraktif berbasis komputer tipe drill sebesar 0,48 yang menurut kriteria Haketermasuk sedang (2) Respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran matematika interaktifberbasis komputer tipe drill positif. Dari hasil perhitungan angket dan wawancaradiperoleh presentase siswa yang mendukung sebesar 81,28 %, sehinggaberdasarkan kriteria Maulana dapat disimpulkan bahwa hampir seluruh siswamemberikan respons positif terhadap pembelajaran matematika interaktif berbasiskomputer tipe drill. (3) Keunggulan pembelajaran matematika interaktif berbasiskomputer tipe drill diantaranya : (a) Belajar komputer dengan menggunakanmultimedia interaktif dapat menumbuhkan minat siswa dalam belajar matematika. (b)Belajar komputer dengan menggunakan multimedia interaktif dapat membantu siswamemahami konsep bangun ruang sisi lengkung. (c) Animasi yang ditampilkan dapatmembantu siswa memvisualisasikan bangun ruang yang dipelajari. Sedangkan untukkelemahannya adalah keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana untuk mendukungpembelajaran komputer dengan menggunakan multimedia interaktif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah kemampuan representasimatematis siswa yang belajar menggunakan Metode Inkuiri Model Alberta lebih baikdaripada siswa yang belajar menggunakan metode pembelajaran matematika biasadan untuk mengetahui apakah peningkatan kemampuan representasi matematissiswa yang belajar menggunakan Metode Inkuiri Model Alberta lebih baik daripadasiswa yang belajar menggunakan metode pembelajaran matematika biasa. Metodepenelitian yang dipilih adalah penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain kelompokkontrol non-ekuivalen (non equivalent control group design). Pada desain eksperimenini terdapat dua kelompok sampel, adanya pretest, perlakuan yang berbeda danadanya posttest. Sampel pada kelompok pertama merupakan kelas eksperimen yangmenggunakan pembelajaran Inkuiri Model Alberta. Sementara itu kelompok keduasebagai kelas kontrol yang mendapatkan pembelajaran menggunakan pembelajaranbiasa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan representasi matematissiswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran Inkuiri Model Alberta lebih baik daripadasiswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran biasa dan peningkatan kemampuanrepresentasi matematis siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran Inkuiri Model Albertalebih baik daripada siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran biasa.

Abstract

Improving Student Mathematical Communication Ability.This study used a description test instrument to evaluate students' mathematicalcommunication abilities and used student response questionnaires to find out howstudents respond to the applied learning. To compare the ability of the two classes theresearcher uses one-way t test for two independent samples, Meanwhile, to analyzethe hypothesis of the class gain experiment, researchers used one sample t-test.From the pretest result it was known that the mean score of the experimental class was 4,57 and the control class was 3,79. Through the t-test at that value it is known that thitung = 1,86 while at 5% freedom degree and dk = 86 is known ttabel = 1,99. From both data it was known that -1,99 ? 1,86 ? 1,99 then it meets the acceptance criteria of H0. It means both classes have the initial ability of the same mathematical communication. Meanwhile, from posttest result it was known that the average of experiment class score was 11,53 and control class was 7,57. Because the posttest scores of the experimental class and homogeneous controls, then the comparative test was performed by the t-test. From the t-test it was known that thitung = 3,81 and ttabel = 1,67. From both data it was known that thitung ? ttable then thitung was not available in the reception area H0. This means that after the treatment of students' mathematical communication abilities, the experimental class was better than the control class. The improvement of mathematical communication ability of experimental class students were in the medium category. In addition, from the results of questionnaire responses of students, it was known that students showed a positive response to the probing-prompting learning model.

Abstract

Application Of Cooperative Learning ModelType Think Talk Write In An Effort To Increase Mathematical Communication Skill.This study aims to examine the improvement of students' mathematicalcommunication skills with Think Talk Write model. This research involvesexperimental class and control class which is taken from class VII (Seven) SMPNegeri 1 Lebakwangi academic year 2016/2017. From the results of the pre-testknown that mean score of the control class was 9,53 while the experiment class is16,85. While the result of the post-test show that the mean of the control classes skorare 26,12 then the mean of the experiment classes score 29,75. The data that gettingfrom post-test doesn’t come from the normal distribution, so this dara was comparedby using Mann-Whitney (U) test for large samples. From the analyze, we know thatzcount = 0,43 dan ztable = 1,64. From both of data we know that 0,43 < 1,64. It meansthat after treatment the experiment classes student’s of mathematical communicationmore than control classes. The improvement of the mathematical communicationability of the classroom is not in addition to the result of the student responsequestionnaire, it is known that the students show neutral response to the learningmodel Think Talk Write.
