Abstract

Mathematics is learning that uses many numbers, so that many students do not like mathematics. Other research also states that students find it difficult to learn mathematics. The purpose of this is to compare and relate the skills of elementary school students and Islamic school students to the material. This study uses quantitative methods with associative and comparative types. The population in this study were 36 students in each school. The research instrument for students' process skills between SD (Elementary School) and MI (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah) on mathematics lessons. This study tested the statistics after performing statistical tests and assumption tests in normality tests, homogeneity tests, and linearity tests. The study results are that the data of SD and MI students are said to be expected, and the data are homogeneous, and there is a linear relationship between SD and MI students. There is a process of student skills between students in SD (Elementary School) and MI (Masrasah Ibtidaiyah) in learning mathematics. The correlation test results for each school shows that student responses affect students' learning process skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to compare the attitudes and interests of students at SMPN 34 Batanghari and MTsN 5 Batanghari. To find out the relationship between the attitudes and interests of junior high school students towards science subjects on environmental pollution. To find out the relationship between the attitudes and interests of MTs students towards science subjects on environmental pollution. The method used in this research is a quantitative method with a comparative type. The results of the description test can be concluded that SMPN 34 Batanghari is superior to MTsN 5 Batanghari. Based on the results of the T test, it can be concluded that there is a comparison between students' attitudes and interests towards environmental pollution material. From the results of the correlation test, there is a relationship between the attitudes and interests of the students of SMPN 34 Batanghari and there is a relationship between the attitudes and interests of the students of MTsN 5 Batanghari

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The purpose of this study was to produce math worksheets based on a scientific approach and PQ4R learning strategies on set material in class VII SMP and to find out whether worksheets based on scientific approaches and PQ4R learning strategies on set material for class VII SMP meet the valid, practical and effective criteria. Methodology: This type of research is development research with the ADDIE development model. This study designed worksheets, gave tests to find out student learning outcomes, and gave questionnaires to find out the results of student responses. The instruments used in this study were material and design expert assessment sheets of worksheets, teacher and student response questionnaires and observation sheets, learning achievement tests, and student response questionnaires in use trials. Main Findings: The process of developing student worksheets that have been carried out is followed by the validation stage carried out by material experts, obtaining a score of 95 in the "Good" category and design experts obtaining a score of 43 in the "Very Good" category. The individual trial phase scored 68 in the "Very Good" category. Novelty/Originality of this study: From the analysis results, student responses reached 90.63% with very positive responses, and the learning outcomes test obtained 86.49% of student scores reaching the minimum completeness criteria. This means the worksheet is valid, practical, and effective for learning mathematics in junior high schools, especially in learning sets.
