Abstract

Abstract

Low-income communities are often trapped in unstable financial conditions, so effective financial management is key to improving their well-being. Financial training can provide an understanding of these risks and teach how to avoid them, as well as recognise legitimate and profitable financial products and how to budget, manage debt or utilise financial products wisely. The theoretical study of financial coaching can be built upon several key theories covering aspects of education, economics and behavioural psychology. This article combines participatory action (PAR) and community-based research approaches to improve public financial capability through financial training programmes. The results of this service show that financial training has a positive and sustainable impact on improving public financial capacity. However, it should be noted that the performance of this outcome is also the result of co-operation between researchers, stakeholders, and affected communities. Through improved understanding, skills, and access to appropriate financial products, communities can achieve a more prosperous and financially independent life. In addition, a change in attitude towards being smarter when managing finances is a major consequence of this service. Given the increased wise attitude towards understanding, skills and fundraising, we expect that the community will better manage their finances, reduce the risk of financial difficulties, and increase participation in formal financial services.

Abstract

Antibiotics are one of the main pillars in the treatment of bacterial infections and have contributed significantly to increasing human life expectancy. However, long-term use of antibiotics has serious consequences for the balance of the body's microbiome, especially the gut microbiome which plays an important role in maintaining homeostasis through the regulation of the immune system, metabolism, and protection against pathogens. This literature review aims to comprehensively analyze the impact of long-term antibiotic use on the structure, diversity, and function of the human microbiome. The scientific articles reviewed were obtained from PubMed, Scopus, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar databases, including empirical research, systematic review, and meta-analysis published in the last ten years. The results showed that prolonged exposure to antibiotics consistently decreased microbiota diversity, altered the composition of bacterial communities, and triggered dysbiosis, which is often persistent even when therapy is stopped. Dysbiosis is associated with impaired immune system function, increased systemic inflammation, risk of allergic and metabolic diseases, and potential disorders on the intestinal-brain axis. This impact is more pronounced in vulnerable groups such as neonates and children, especially when exposure occurs during a critical period of development. In conclusion, long-term antibiotic use has broad systemic implications, so a more rational, prudent, and sustainable use strategy is needed to maintain the health of the human microbiome.

Abstract

Abstract: Early marriage frequently occurs in society and is often considered a normalized practice. The primary causes of early marriage include environmental or familial factors such as cultural norms, social pressure, poverty, and uncontrolled peer interactions. Marrying at a young age can raise concerns regarding marital issues due to a lack of mental readiness to start and maintain a healthy family life. Objective: This scoping review aims to explore and assess the impact of early marriage on adolescents. Methods: This study utilized the PRISMA-ScR Checklist, following five stages based on the  Arksey and O’Malley framework. Article searches were conducted using four databases: PubMed, ScienceDirect, EBSCO, and Google Scholar. Results: Out of 10,864 articles identified, 11 met the inclusion criteria and were deemed relevant. This review highlights the impact of early marriage on adolescent mental health. Conclusion: The psychological consequences of early marriage are significant. Economic factors are a major determinant, as adolescents are often forced to assume financial responsibilities within the household, which strains their psychological well-being. Cultural beliefs that endorse early marriage as a means of controlling adolescent behavior further exacerbate mental health conditions. Domestic violence, insufficient capacity for autonomy, and limited awareness about reproductive health intensify the psychological burden, particularly among adolescent girls.
