Abstract

Universitas terbuka is one of university in Indonesia that implement a remote and open learning system. Learning distance requirements are not carried out by using media, both print (module) and non-print (audio/video, computer/internet, radio broadcasting, and television). To serve students spread throughout Indonesia, excellent service is required. UT continues to increase its commitment to promoting academic quality and one of the academic qualities that need to be improved is the learning process where in the learning process there are general service aspects, aspects of registration services, tutorial service aspects, either TTM tutorials or online tutorials (TUTON), practicum services, services teaching materials, Online Bookstore services (TBO), SIPAS services and aspects of service for administering examinations. This study is intended to determine the level of satisfaction of students, especially D2 Library students of FISIP-UT Library, to the services provided by UT. The method used is quantitative and qualitative methods. The results of the assessment of satisfaction and importance are ≥ 50% of students are satisfied and feel an interest in the various services provided by UT.

Abstract

Pada masa Revolusi Industri 4.0 dunia pendidikan mengalami perubahan tren pembelajaran yang berbanding lurus dengan perkembangan teknologi, yang dikenal dengan Pendidikan 4.0. Universitas Terbuka memiliki peranan penting sebagai pendidikan tinggi jarak jauh yang sudah menerapkan metode e-learning jauh sebelum era pembelajaran Daring (dalam jaringan) diterapkan oleh sebagian besar perguruan tinggi di Indonesia. Tren pembelajaran yang berbasis pada teknologi cyber sudah diterapkan secara menyeluruh dalam pembelajaran di Universitas Terbuka. Dalam artikel ini penulis menggambarkan Universitas Terbuka sebagai pelopor Pendidikan 4.0 yang menggunakan e-learning sebagai pilar utama. E-learning sangat sesuai dengan kebutuhan mahasiswa UT dan siapapun yang membutuhkan pendidikan tinggi karena; a) fleksibilitas waktu, b) meningkatkan kemanjuran pengetahuan dan kualifikasi, c) memberikan peluang lebih antar mahasiswa dan pengajar, d) efektif biaya, e) mempertimbangkan perbedaan mahasiswa, dan f) membantu mengkompensasi kelangkaan staf akademik.

Abstract

Pembelajaran online bagi mahasiswa Universitas Terbuka (UT) telah diterapkan jauh sebelum ada aturan dari pemerintah sebagai imbas dari pandemic Covid-19. UT menyediakan fasilitas berupa e-learning yaitu sarana pembelajaran online berbasis web yang dapat diakses kapan saja dan dimana saja oleh dosen, tutor dan mahasiswa. Namun demikian, pembelajaran online memiliki perbedaan cara penyampaian pengetahuan tersebut sehingga memerlukan pemahaman dan pelaksanaan yang komprehensif. Penelitian ini membahas bagaimana pemahaman dan pelaksanaan upaya pencegahan plagiat yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa UT dalam pembelajaran online. Upaya tindakan pencegahan plagiat yang dilakukan oleh UT dalam mendukung pembelajaran online sangat memadai dan usaha mahasiswa untuk memahami dan menerapkan juga sudah maksimal walaupun terdapat kesalahan pada pertemuan atau sesi awal. Hal ini dikarenakan pemahaman dan penerapan mahasiswa yang berbeda-beda.

Abstract

Heterogenitas mahasiswa yang saling terhubung dalam portal e-learning Universitas Terbuka membuka peluang terjadinya knowledge sharing untuk menciptakan pengetahuan baru kolektif dalam kelompok diskusi secara virtual. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kegiatan knowledge sharing dalam dua kelompok kelas tutorial online yang terdiri dari delapan aktivitas diskusi, dengan durasi waktu delapan minggu dalam satu program tutorial online. Metode penelitian kualitatif data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan studi dokumentasi pada dua kelas tutorial online program studi Ilmu Perpustakaan Fakultas Hukum Ilmu Sosial Ilmu Politik Universitas Terbuka. Berdasarkan analisis dengan mengunakan pendekatan SECI Models, aktivitas dalam knowledge sharing pada forum diskusi dibagi menjadi empat bagian yaitu: (a) sosialisasi, interaksi antar individu yakni tutor dan mahasiswa dalam bentuk kegiatan insiasi, (b) eksternaliasi, interaksi peserta diskusi dalam forum dalam memberikan jawaban, dan saling memberikan tanggapan terhadap pendapat peserta lainnya, (c) kombinasi, peseta mengintegrasikan pengetahuan yang diperoleh dalam forum diskusi dalam menyelesaikan tugas tutorial mandiri, (d) internalisasi, peserta memiliki pemahaman pribadi terhadahap permasalahan diskusi yang dapat diimplemtasikan dalam organisasi dan institusi masing-masing. Proses knowledge sharing dalam forum diskusi kelas tutorial online mendorong terciptanya pengetahuan kolektif dalam komunitas belajar virtual dan membantu mahasiswa dalam membahami materi dalam proses pembelajaran jarak jauh di Universitas Terbuka.

Abstract

Viewers can watch videos produced by media actors on YouTube, a well-known video-sharing platform. It requires searching methods because the volume of content is likewise growing. This study aimed to learn how Udayana University students could retrieve information via YouTube. A quantitative approach through a survey is the research method used. The study's object and population comprised 100 (one hundred) students from 13 (thirteen) distinct departments at Udayana University. Based on the study's results, most students access YouTube for entertainment. Students of Udayana University frequently watch YouTube videos. YouTube information search method does a decent job of choosing videos relevant to video recommendations (79%) but does an inadequate job of using the watch later function (55%).

Abstract

Background of the Study:  The development of the era of society 5.0 made the library participate in this development. The library is a combination of virtual and physical space to meet users' information needs as a society 5.0. Purpose: This study  reviews the existence of libraries and librarians’ roles in the era of society 5.0, whether they are lost or survive in the new phase.  Method: This study used an explorative mothod, it employs a number of scientific procedures, including data collection from libraries, reading and taking notes, and transforming the results into narrative writing.. Findings: Libraries and Librarians continue to thrive in the development of the society 5.0 era Libraries, and librarians increasingly have a role. Library developments that can be developed in this area include robotics in libraries, Self-Service Services, Digital Libraries, Information Consulting Services, and Digital Consulting Services. Conclusion: Libraries and Librarians are still needed and essential in the era of society 5.0 in library development. Librarians must work scientially and ensure professionalism while carrying out their duties and functions in library development to meet society's 5.0 users.

Abstract

Introduction. This research focuses on evaluation of digital library quality services using DigiQUAL method. This research provide evaluation results and knowledge regarding the quality of Pustabiblia application services to support further development. Data Collection Methods. This is quantitative research with descriptive analysis. Data was taken from a sample of 80 respondents. Data Analysis. Data analysis techniques used mean and grand mean with Microsoft Excel application to calculate the average service quality variable. The categorization criteria was conducted. Results and Discussion. The results showed that it was in the high or good category with a service quality index of 3.64. The lowest index in the research was the Resource Use with a value of 3.39. Conclusion. In general, the quality of the library application service is already in the “good” category but it can still be improved to be in the “very good” category. Further, there needs to be promotion and recommendations regarding the use of the library application so that students can access the library application more often, particularly to meet student information needs.

Abstract

Libraries as information resource centers certainly have librarians/library managers who can manage and serve the community in a valid and up-to-date manner. Librarians in the era of the digital ecosystem are expected to be able to accelerate themselves to become an integral part of providing optimal service to users. The purpose of the study is to determine the ecosystem climate and digital library transformation at the Indonesian Agency for Agricultural Standardization (IAAS). The study was designed in a qualitative descriptive manner using a survey method of librarians/library managers totaling 39 respondents. Data were collected and analyzed using the standard deviation in Microsoft Office Excel 2010 with the implementation of the July 2022 – June 2023 study. The results of the study found that the characteristics of librarians/library managers were mostly male aged 25-50 years with strata 1 education level. The level of understanding of librarians/managers library towards digital knowledge is high but the level of embedded knowledge is low. The climate for the digital transformation ecosystem is still in processing activities with the development stage on websites, mobile apps, databases and cloud computing. For technological advances, it is hoped that librarians/library managers will be more literate and more innovative in the future development of digital libraries.
