Abstract

Background of the study: In the era of glogalization the use of the internet has developed very dramatically. This is indicated by the use of gadgets among students who are always connected to the internet. Students like to find information in real or audiovisual form. The presence of YouTube also provides great results to the current generation. This is what makes the basis for learning how to use YouTube as a learning medium among students. Purpose: The purpose of this research is to study learning from YouTube as a media for student learning. Method: The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Findings: The results of this study indicate that students have a high level of gadget usage and are always connected to the internet. Students Almost every day Open the youtube application on their gadget. Conclusion: Yotube is used as a learning media that supports in adding knowledge and supporting the task of lectures. Learning to use YouTube by FISIP students can be seen effectively from the usability, accuracy, and distribution space of yotube media.

Abstract

Background of the study: The student in “Kelas Prestasi” Community in University Bengkulu uses the WhatsApp in daily communication in discussion.Purpose: The research about "The effectiveness of Utilization WhatsApp application as Media discussion" aims to determine the extent of the effectiveness of using the WhatsApp application as a medium of daily communication to be a media discussion by the “Kelas Prestasi” Community on the scope of University of Bengkulu in organized activities.Method: This research has used a qualitatively descriptive method. The process of collecting research data has been conducted through in-depth interview techniques, observations, and direct documentation.Findings: The use of the WhatsApp application as a media discussion has added the ability to change the participants of the discussion on aspects of insight, conprehensen, skill and attitude. Insight is about new information or views obtained after the discussion process. Then, the aspect of understanding, learners reveals that they are capable of translating so as to understand the issues discussed and conclude the outcome of the discussion activities. Furthermore, the aspect of the skill gets the fact that they can communicate interactively or to speak to each other and be able to take steps to see and solve problems. The last of these aspects of attitude also gets the fact that the participants of the discussion feel a change in their self, such as a change in confidence and a sense of tolerance in seeing a difference, especially disagreements.Conclusion: The results of this research show that the use of WhatsApp applications as a media discussion seen from the four aspects has been effective.

Abstract

Media social menjadi media yang saat ini paling banyak digunakan oleh mahasiswa di era perkembangan teknologi. Media social WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram menjadi 3 media social yang paling banyak digunakan. Informasi hoax dimedia social sangat banyak ditemukan. Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis informasi hoax di media social. Analisis informasi ini menggunakan konten informasi hoax yaitu Fake news, Miss Information, click tautan, satira, dan postthruth. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Dengan mengambil informan sebanyak 10 informan dari 5 jurusan yaitu S1 Kesejahteraan Sosial, S1 Administrasi Negara, S1 Perpustakaan dan Sains Informasi, S1 Sosiologi, S1 Komunikasi. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Mahasiswa pernah menemukan informasi hoax di media social WhatsApp, Facebook dan Instagram. Mahasiswa secara tidak sadar pernah ikut mempercayai berita hoax dan ikut menyebarkan berita hoax. Di media social terdapat informasi hoax dalam kategori Fake news, Miss Information, click tautan, satira, dan postthruth.Mahasiswa mempunyai cara tersendiri untuk mengenali hoax dan terhindar dari hoax.

Abstract

Hedonism amid net generation resulting behavior of the next generation has a high level of technology use and consumptive nature that likes to update the latest technology and social media use is high. This resulted in net generation behavioral change. To anticipate these behavioral changes will require librarians to become a partner of the user. Improvement can be done by making the librarian as cybrarian. Establishment of cybrarian is the one way to increase human resources in the library to provide services according to needs of the net generation. This increase can be given the library by providing training and education. A cybrarian will have the ability to visual literacy, digital literacy, ICT literacy, information literacy, and the others. Cybrarian will have the ability to provide knowledge to the net generation, so that the gadget they have to be utilized, particularly those giving a positive effect in improving technological capabilities and user communication.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology has changed the behavior of higher education students in the era of net generation. Such students are recognized by their high dependency on gadgets to have their social activities. This condition demands academic libraries to change their appearances in order to improve their services that meet the needs of the net generations. Libraries will become a second home for their users. To achieve this, libraries can implement a concept called infor- mation common. Information common is a concept of library improvement that involves information technology. The concept, which includes learning, discussion, information technology, experiment, cy- bercafé, and information desk, expects optimum utilization of spaces and facilities to provide comfortable rooms for users.

Abstract

Minimnya SDM serta sarana dan prasarana di Perpustakaan Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu menyebabkan banyaknya kesalahan yang terjadi dalam pengolahan bahan pustaka baik disengaja maupun tidak disengaja. Kesalahan tersebut berdampak pada kinerja dan kegiatan operasional perpustakaan yang mengakibatkan kerugian baik secara material maupun tenaga dan waktu. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan evaluasi terhadap sistem otomasi software SLiMS dalam pengolahan bahan pustaka.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana evaluasi software SLiMS dalam pengolahan bahan pustaka di UPT Perpustakaan Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu. Penelitian ini termasuk ke dalam penelitian deskriftif kualitatif dengan jumlah informan sebanyak 7 orang. Tekhnik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara dan dokumentasi di lapangan.Hasil penelitian pada indikator eksternal variable diketahui bahwa SLiMS bermanfaat dan memudahkan dalam kegiatan perpustakaan. Pada indikator perceived ease of use diketahui SLiMS mudah dalam penggunaan dan pengoperasiannya. Indikator perceived usefulness diketahui SLiMS memudahkan pustakawan dalam pengolahan bahan pustaka membantu dalam menemukan informasi, membantu menyelesaikan pekerjaan dengan cepat, meningkatkan kinerja pustakawan. Pada indikator Behavioral intention diketahui SLiMS membantu kegiatan pengolahan bahan pustaka dengan baik dan efisien. Berdasarkan indikator Actual system use diketahui bahwa penggunaan SLiMS di Perpustakaan Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu sudah efektif.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini berfokus pada kemampuan literasi informasi guru dalam menerapkan kurikulum 2013. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui literasi informasi guru yang ada di SMA negeri unggulan 4 Pagar alam  serta mengetahui penerapan kurikulum 2013 di SMA negeri unggulan 4  Pagar alam. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan 8 informan yang telah dipilih. Literasi informasi guru pada penelitian ini dilihat dari standard literasi informasi guru menurut Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) yang memiliki empat aspek yaitu mendefinisikan kebutuhan informasi, mengartikulasikan kebutuhan informasi, memilih strategi pencarian informasi serta memilih alat dalam menemukan informasi. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan. Dari segi mendefinisi kebutuhan informasi literasi informasi guru sudah baik namun perlu pengembangan. Dari segi mengartikulasi kebutuhan informasi, literasi informasi guru masih proses menyesuaikan dengan kurikulum 2013. Dari segi memilih strategi literasi informasi cukup baik walau ada beberapa guru yang harus ditingkatkan. Dan dari segi memilih alat literasi informasi guru  sebenarnya sudah cukup baik akan tetapi harus ada pengembangan.Kata Kunci : Literasi Informasi, Guru, Kurikulum 2013AbstractThis study focused on the information literacy skills of teachers in implementing the 2013 curriculum. The purposes of this study were to determine the information literacy of teachers in SMA Negeri 4 Pagaralam Unggulan and to discover the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in SMA Negeri 4 Pagaralam Unggulan. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative with 8 selected informants. Teacher information literacy in this study was seen from the teacher information literacy standard according to the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL), It has 4 aspects, namely defining information needs,articulating information needs, selecting information seeking strategies and choosing a tool to find information. The results of the study showed that: in terms of defining literacy information needs, teacher information is good but it needs development. In terms of articulating literacy information needs, teacher information is still in the process of adjusting to the 2013 curriculum. In terms of choosing information literacy tools, teachers are actually quite good but there must be further development so that the implementation of the 2013 curriculum is carried out properly..Keywords :  information literacy, Teacher, Curriculum 2013

Abstract

Background of study: The village library aims to improve the welfare of the community in the village. This library concept is called social inclusion-based library. Lentera Village Library also participates in efforts to improve the welfare of the people in the Tepi Laut Village through various efforts and activities in the development of the village library and community empowerment. Purpose: to look at the role of the village library in improving welfare literacy for the people in Tepi Laut Air Napal. Method: The research method in this research is using a qualitative approach. The informants in this study consisted of 5 informants, namely the village head, the person in charge of the library, the community, and students. The research was conducted using interviews and observation. Findings: The library in connectivity already has library infrastructure, in content the library has had welfare empowerment collections but it has not been said to be optimal because of the small number. Indicator Human where human resources in library management have not been said to be optimal because they still do not have the right manager. Conclusion: The library has empowered the community in improving literacy in community welfare and several forms of activities. However, it cannot be said to be optimal due to the unavailability of adequate collections and people who do not have the determination to use library services.
