Abstract

Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) contamination is still widely reported in various hospital areas. Despite routine cleaning and preventive measures in places such as hospitals, the prevalence of MRSA is still increasing worldwide, especially in Asia. This review aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of disinfectants against MRSA contamination in hospitals. Articles were searched from PubMed, ScienceDirect, Cochrane, and Google Scholar databases using specific keywords and boolean operators. Journal selection from these databases was based on inclusion criteria, exclusion criteria, and PICOS framework. Studies that did not fit the topic or study design and had paid access and duplication were excluded. A total of five valid and reliable articles found that some disinfectants, such as JUC Polymer, a combination of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and silver cations (Ag), have effectiveness in eradicating germs or inhibiting the growth of MRSA germs. The application of disinfectants in MRSA also showed benefits in terms of cost. However, the use of disinfectants needs to be considered because they can cause tolerance and resistance. In conclusion, MRSA disinfectants are still proven effective with various methods and precautions. In addition, disinfectants are beneficial in terms of prevention and health financing.

Abstract

Abstract

This study applied quantitative analysis to investigate the relationship between risk management performance and construction project success in Yemen. The study utilized statistical tools such as SmartPLS software to assess the influence of good risk management methods on project results. The study's focus on proactive risk identification, analysis, reaction, and monitoring and control seeks to improve risk management performance and assure project success. To examine the variables, Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used with SmartPLS version 3 and data from 171 respondents ranging from low to high management levels. The study presents empirical evidence for the beneficial effects of strong risk management methods on project success and the structural model. The findings highlight the strong link between risk management and project outcomes, emphasizing the necessity of early risk identification, analysis, reaction, and monitoring and control. Based on the quantitative analysis results, practitioners are given recommendations on how to prioritize successful risk management techniques. This study advances the knowledge of risk management in construction projects and gives practical insights for improving project outcomes through data-driven decision-making.

Abstract

Abstract

The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Indonesian banking industry has driven transformation in operational processes, especially in improving customer service in the business initiation process. However, in addition to the business initiation process, AI can be used in the credit collection process, where Bank XYZ is one of the state-owned banks that is a pioneer in the use of AI-based Collection Systems for credit collection activities. This study aims to analyze and find out how user perception, including risk perception, affects users' sustainable intentions towards the AI-based Collection System at Bank XYZ with a quantitative approach. Data was collected through a questionnaire with respondents using the Collection System (employees) in the billing division at Bank XYZ. The data that has been collected is analyzed through 3 (three) stages, namely the preparation of the questionnaire (pre-test), the main analysis using Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) with an outer model measurement model to understand the basic characteristics of the research sample, and the structural model measurement stage using an inner model to assess the relationship between research variables and hypothesis testing using bootsrapping. The research update lies in the analysis of the use of AI in the back end process in banking (credit collection) and the identification of risk perception as a factor that also influences Continuous Intention (CI), in addition to other traditional variables in the Expectation Confirmation Model (ECM). The results show that users' perception of intelligence, human nature, and usefulness of AI technology.

Abstract

Purpose: This study provides a detailed analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of using the lowest bid price method in public tenders. Research methodology: This study uses a quantitative method. This study uses a questionnaire survey, then the data from the questionnaire is analyzed using the Relative Importance Index (RII). This study also analyzes descriptive statistics on construction procurement data. Results: The findings indicate that the lowest bid method has several benefits, including increasing competition and transparency in the selection process. However, there are also some shortcomings that management should understand. Limitations: The study is limited by its focus on cases within the Ministry of Finance in Indonesia and the use of self-reported data from questionnaires, which may differ from practices in other contexts. The data used in this study comes from a certain period of time, so it can’t explain all procurement performance. Contribution: The research contributes to the fields of public construction procurement.
