Abstract

Merdeka curriculum emphasizes the ability of students to understand and apply their concepts to solve contextual problems. This research aimed to determine the validity, practicality, and effectivity of buffer solution students’ worksheet based on problem based learning with etnochemistry on students’ science literacy ability. The development model used in this research is 4-D. buffer solution students’ worksheet was validated by 3 chemistry lectures and 2 chemistry teachers. Practicality tests were carried out by 3 chemistry teachers and 32 students. Then, the level of effectiveness of buffer solution students' worksheet is known through the N-gain test. The validity test was analyzed by using aiken's v derived formula consisting the validity of the content and construct which was 0.91 and 0.90 with category valid. The results of the practicality of teachers and students was 88.80 and 87.75 with higher category. Analysis of the n-gain value obtained the results of the value of g = 0.86 in the high category. Then the date analyzed with quantitative method by using hypotheses testing, determined that the research hypothesis was accepted. This result confirmed that buffer solution students’ worksheet based on problem based learning with ethnochemistry was valid, practical, and effective to improving students’ science literacy ability significantly.

Abstract

The implementation of the independent curriculum at the senior high school level can be an opportunity for educators to develop alternative teaching materials that according to the latest curriculum standards. One alternative teaching material that can be used is the module. This study aims to develop a basic chemical law module based on Problem Based Learning integrated with green chemistry that is valid, practical and effective. This type of research is educational development research (educational design research) or known as EDR. The test subjects for this study were three chemistry lecturers, two chemistry teachers, and tenth grade students. The results of the study obtained a construct validity of 0.90 and a content validity of 0.91. The results of practicality tests by teachers and students are included in the very practical group with respective values of 0.88 and 0.84. The results of the t test on student learning outcomes showed that t-count (2.87) is bigger than t-table (1.67), and the value of science process skills in the experimental class was higher than the control class. Therefore, it can be said that the module based on problem base learning integrated with green chemistry on basic chemical law material is valid, practicable, and effective. Therefore, it can be said that the modules made are reliable and useful for use in the learning process.

Abstract

The aim study to produce module of IPAS learning based on project based learning to improve the science process skill for grade E SMK and to determine level of validity practicality and effectiveness. The type of research used research and development (R&D). The development model used 4D models (define, design, development and dessiminate). The module of IPAS learning was validated by three chemistry lecturers from FMIPA UNP and two chemistry teachers from SMK Swasta Bakti Agro Mandiri and SMKN 1 Kempas. Determination of the practicality level of module IPAS learning by two chemistry teachers from SMK Swasta Bakti Agro Mandiri and SMKN 1 Kempas and 30 students of grade E SMK Swasta Bakti Agro Mandiri. The results of the practicality analysis based on teacher and student response questionnaires obtained Aiken scores of 0.97 and 0.93 respectively in the very high practicality category. Therefore, it can be said that the module based on project based learning to improve the science process skill for grade E SMK on matter and its change material is valid, practicable, and effective.

Abstract

Scientific literacy is crucial in chemistry education, yet PISA results indicate that Indonesian students still struggle with abstract concepts like chemical equilibrium. To address this issue, this study developed a scientific literacy-integrated e-module based on the Learning Cycle 7E model to improve student learning outcomes. Using an educational design research approach with the Plomp model, the e-module’s validity, practicality, and effectiveness were evaluated. Validation by subject matter and media experts yielded high validity scores of 0.89 and 0.91, respectively. Practicality testing involving teachers and students resulted in high scores of 91.27% and 89.70%. Effectiveness analysis, measured using the N-Gain formula, showed a significant improvement in students' learning outcomes. These results indicate that the developed e-module is valid, practical, and effective in supporting the understanding of chemical equilibrium among senior high school students.
