Abstract

Indonesia ranks fourth with the highest number of patients with gastritis after USA, England and Banglasdesh which totaled to 430 million people.Gastritis become one of the top ten most prevalent disease in outpatient in Indonesia which totaled to 30.154 cases (4,9%). The purposes of this studyto provide an overview of the usage of gastritis drugs quantitatively on outpatient at Departement of Internal Disease at one hospital in RiauProvince, according the proportions of gender, age range, type of gastritis, patent or generic, classes of drugs, type of gastritis drug and combinationsand interactions among the gastritis drug. The type of this study is observational with descriptive method using retrospective data. The selected data isgastritis patient medical record outpatient. The population of this study are the gastritis patient who outpatient at Departement of Internal Disease atone hospital in Riau Province totaled to 124 patients. The highest proportion based on gender totaled 67 persons (54,03%) are women, based on agerange totaled 99 persons (79,84%) are adult (18-55 years), based on type of gastritis totaled 48 cases (38,71%) are limfositic gastritis, based on patentand generic totaled 173 items ( 62,91%) are generics, based on classes of the drug totaled 115 items (41,82%) are proton pump inhibitor, based ontype drug of gastritis totaled90 items (32,73%) are Dexanta [A l(OH)3, Mg(OH)2, DMPS] and Lansoprazol, based on combinations and interactionsamong the gastritis drug totaled 65 items (30,66%) are combination of [Al(OH)3, Mg(OH)2, DMPS] and Lansoprazol.

Abstract

Minyak nilam (Pogostemon cablin Benth.) yang memiliki konstituen utama patchouli alcohol menunjukkan aktivitas antioksidan. Karakteristik khusus dari minyak nilam yaitu memiliki sifat volatilitas yang tinggi sehingga perlu untuk diformulasi menjadi bentuk sediaan yang lebih stabil seperti nanoemulsi. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendapatkan konsentrasi optimum dari masing-masing komponen penyusun nanoemulsi yang melibatkan proses yaitu waktu pengadukan yang menghasilkan sediaan nanoemulsi dengan karakteristik yang baik   menggunakan Box Behnken Design (BBD) serta melakukan uji aktivitas antioksidan nanoemulsi minyak nilam. Konsentrasi Smix (surfaktan dan kosurfaktan), air, dan waktu pengadukan merupakan faktor yang diamati dalam optimasi formula dan sebagai respon digunakan persen transmitan. Karakteristik yang diamati antara lain rata-rata ukuran partikel, indeks polidispersitas, dan zeta potensial. Berdasarkan data diagram fase digunakan minyak nilam 5%. Data hasil optimasi diperoleh nilai konsentrasi Smix 24%, air 35,511%, dan waktu pengadukan 5,516 menit, memberikan nilai rata-rata ukuran partikel 12,76 nm, indeks polidispersitas 0,162, dan zeta potensial -26,1 mV. Aktivitas antioksidan nanoemulsi minyak nilam menunjukkan nilai IC50 >1000 ppm. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa Box Behnken Design (BBD) dapat digunakan untuk optimasi nanoemulsi minyak nilam yang menghasilkan nanoemulsi dengan karakteristik yang baik. Penelitian lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk menentukan konsentrasi minyak nilam yang diformulasikan sebagai nanoemulsi untuk penggunaan sebagai antioksidan.

Abstract

Free radicals can trigger premature aging which can affect the skin structure. Therefore, we need antioxidants that can stabilize reactive free radicals so that they inhibit the free radical oxidation process. One of the plants that can be used as an antioxidant is rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis L.) in the form of essential oil which contains compounds 1,8-cineole, α-pinene and β-pinene. This study aims to produce a topical preparation of rosemary oil in the form of a serum spray gel and has antioxidant activity. The concentrations of rosemary oil used at F1, F2, F3 and F4 were 0%, 5%, 10%, and 15%, respectively. Evaluation of rosemary oil serum spray gel formulation which includes organoleptic, pH, homogeneity, stickiness, viscosity, stability and spraying pattern. The evaluation results meet the requirements. The conclusion of this study is that rosemary oil serum gel spray preparation is physically stable and the best antioxidant activity is F4 with a rosemary oil concentration of 15% and an IC50 value of 152.6274 µg/mL.
