Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve students' understanding of mathematics learning in grade III SD. This research is a Classroom Action Research which is conducted in 3 cycles. Each cycle consists of stages of planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The subjects of this study were students of class III SDN Tegowanuh in the academic year 2020/2021, totaling 30 students. Data collection techniques using observation and tests. Data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Research shows that the use of interactive powerpoint media can improve understanding of the third grade students' time conversion in the 2020/2021 academic year as evidenced by the percentage of completeness of learning outcomes and the class average. In the first cycle it was 50% with a class average of 80.3 to 100% with a class average of 89.8 in the second cycle and 100% with a class average of 94 in the third cycle.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model based on digital media in increasing the learning motivation of fourth grade students of SDN Tegowanuh. This research was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were fourth grade students of SDN Tegowanuh, totaling 17 students. Data on students' IPAS learning motivation were collected through questionnaires. The data analysis technique used was descriptive statistics. Based on the results of data analysis, in cycle I, the average student's science learning motivation after participating in learning by applying the digital media-based Problem Based Learning learning model was 140 and was in the high category. The percentage of classical completeness is 82%. In cycle II, the average learning motivation of IPAS students increased to 150 and was in the very high category. The percentage of classical completeness is 94%. This shows that the PBL model based on digital media is effective in increasing the learning motivation of fourth grade students of SDN Tegowanuh.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Powtoon media in increasing elementary school students' interest in learning Civics. This research uses quantitative methods with a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest group design. The research subjects were 30 grade VI students of SDN Tegowanuh who were divided into two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. The experimental group was treated with PBL learning assisted by Powtoon media, while the control group was treated with conventional learning. Research data were collected through Civics learning interest tests and observations of student learning activities. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the interest in learning Civics of experimental and control group students. It can be seen from the results of the average value of the control group 73.6 while in the experimental group the average value is 85.2. This shows that the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Powtoon media is effective in increasing elementary school students' interest in learning Civics.
