Abstract

a b s t r a c tThe development of flood early warning technology has grown rapidly. The technology has led to an increase in technology in terms of communication and information. Internet of Things technology (IoTs) has provided a major influence on the development of early warning information system. In this article a protipe-based flood monitoring information system of Google Maps have been designed by integrating Ultrasonic sensors as the height of the detector, the Arduino Uno as a processor, U-Blox GPS modules Neo 6 m GSM module and as the sender of data is the height of the water and the coordinates to the station of the system informais flood. The design of the prototype produces information flood elevations along with location based Google Maps interface.Keywords:Flood, Arduino, Internet of Things Technology (IoTs), Ethernet a b s t r a kPengembangan teknologi peringatan dini banjir telah tumbuh dengan cepat. Teknologi tersebut telah mengarah kepada peningkatan di segi teknologi komunikasi dan informasi. Teknologi Internet of Things (IoTs) telah memberikan pengaruh besar terhadap perkembangan sistem informasi peringatan dini. Didalam artikel ini sebuah protipe sistem informasi monitoring banjir berbasis Google Maps telah dirancang dengan mengintegrasikan sensor ultrasonik sebagai pendeteksi ketinggian, Arduino Uno sebagai pemroses, modul GPS U-Blox Neo 6m dan modul GSM sebagai pengirim data ketinggian air dan koordinat ke stasion sistem informais banjir. Abstract

PLC (programmable logic controller), ialah kendalilogika terprogram yang merupakan suatu piranti elektronikyang dirancang untuk dapat beroperasi secara digital,dengan mengunakan memori sebagai media penyimpananinstruksi-instruksi internal untuk menjalankan fungsi-fungsilogika dan fungsi-fungsi lainnya, dengan cara memrogram.Penelitian ini merancang bangun suatu sistem pengendalianotomatik menggunakan PLC. PLC tersebut diprogramberdasarkan urutan-urutan proses yang telah ditentukandengan waktu tertentu, yang terdiri dari prosespencampuran fluida, proses pemanasan dan prosespengosongan tangki. Proses-proses tersebut diprogramkanpada PLC dengan metode desain program menggunakandiagram keadaan STD (state transition diagram). Untukmelihat kestabilan pada proses pengaturan level dantemperatur, dibuat suatu eksperimen pada masing-masingproses tersebut. Hasil eksperimen menunjukkan bahwa PLCdapat mengedalikan ketinggian fluida pada batas maksimumlevel rendah 5 cm dan tinggi 25 cm, dengan deferensial gapmasing-masing 2 cm. Sedangkan hasil eksperimentemperatur menunjukkan bahwa bahan campuran akanmencapai nilai set point 40oC dalam waktu 140 detik. Secaraumum, urutan-urutan proses tersebut dapat berjalan stabildengan waktu yang dibutuhkan sistem untuk menyelesaikansatu siklus adalah 3. 40 menit.

Abstract

The occurrence of floods in Nigeria, particularly in the South-Eastern zones, has resulted in significant socioeconomic losses and continues to be a recurring hazard. This study aims to investigate the socioeconomic impacts of flooding in the region, identify causes and coping strategies, suggest measures for flood control, and evaluate the role of the government in flood management. The study collected data through a questionnaire distributed to 200 respondents and analyzed it using simple percentages, frequency distribution tables, and bar charts. The findings reveal that the incidence of flooding has a significant impact on the socioeconomic activity of the affected communities. To address this issue, proactive and reliable measures are necessary, such as reviewing urban plans and policies, establishing state response desks and relief centers in flood-prone areas, etc. These steps can provide long-term results and promote socio-economic growth in the region. Overall, the study highlights the need for effective flood management strategies to minimize the negative effects on communities and foster sustainable development in Nigeria. JEL Classification J10; J18; J19

Abstract

The constantly changing land surface temperature has implications for agricultural productivity and human health, therefore it is important to observe the land surface temperature to provide information about the characteristics and patterns of a region. The purpose of this research is to determine the changes and spatial patterns of land surface temperature distribution in the Krueng Aceh Watershed in 2013, 2018, and 2023. The method employed in this study involves utilizing the Google Earth Engine platform and MODIS imagery. Land surface temperature data from MODIS imagery is processed using JavaScript programming language, and the results are analyzed to obtain the distribution of land surface temperature. The study results indicate that the land surface temperature in the Krueng Aceh Watershed was 29,11℃ in 2013, increase to 29,5℃ in 2018, and then decreased to 29,19℃ in 2023. The Krueng Aceh Watershed in 2013, 2018, and 2023 exhibits similar spatial patterns and distributions of land surface temperature, with areas in Banda Aceh City experiencing higher temperatures compared to those in Aceh Besar District, which exhibit varying temperatures.
