Abstract

Soybeans will usually grow well at an altitude of no more than 500 to 600 m above sea level. The dry climate is preferred by soybean plants compared to the humid climate. Straw is a vegetative part of rice plants (stems, leaves, pan stalks) that are not collected when the rice plants are harvested. -One of the bokashi rice straw organic fertilizers. Bokashi rice straw contains some essential organic elements needed by plants. Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR), is one of the biological agents that has been widely used and tested to control various plant pathogens, utilizing bamboo roots as decomposers because in the bamboo roots there are bacteria Pseudomonas flourescent and Bacillus polymixa which can help the fermentation process. The aim of the study (i) was to find out the effect of giving and (ii) to get the best bokashi rice straw dose on the growth and yield of soybean plants. The study was carried out in Pembakulan Village Batang Alai Timur District, Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency from April to August 2018. This study used a single factor randomized design (RBD), grouping based on sunlight distribution. The factors examined were 4 bokashi rice straw doses (j) consisting of j1 = 1.3 kg per plot, j2 = 2.6 kg plot, j3 = 3.9 kg per plot and j4 = 5.2 kg per plot plot. Factors observed were plant height, leaf number, flowering age, number of pods, number of seeds, and dry weight of 100 soybeans. The results of the study did not indicate the effect of bokashi rice straw on soybean plants.

Abstract

Alabio yam is one of the alternative food helpers during a famine when rice, sago, and others cannot be harvested, alabio yam can be a healthy food, but farmers do not cultivate alabio yams to the maximum because farmers do not do fertilization and less optimal soil cultivation to improve it there is a need for good fertilization and tillage. This research was conducted in the Banyu Tajun Hulu Village Sungai Pandan District Hulu Sungai Utara District with the title Use of kayambang bokashi on alabio yam cultivation with land management from February to August 2019. using a factorial randomized block design (RBD) with 2 treatment factors, 1 kayambang bokashi and 2 land processing. The first factor is the dose of bokashi kayambang which consists of 5 levels, namely b1 = 5 tons. ha-1 equal with 0.5 kg. plot-1, b2 = 10 tons. ha-1 equal with 1 kg. Plot-1, b3 = 15 tons. ha-1 equal with 1.5 kg. plot-1, b4 = 20 tons. ha-1 is equal to 2 kg. Plot-1, b5 = 20 tons. ha-1 equal with 2.5 kg. plot-1. The second factor consists of 2 levels, namely, t1 = minimum land processing, t2 = maximum land processing. The results showed that the interaction between bokashi kayambang and land management only had a significant effect on the observation of 30 HST. The single factor of bokashi kayambang has a very significant effect on all observational variables. The single factor in land processing only had a significant effect on leaf observation at 20 HST.

Abstract

Tanaman tomat merupakan tanaman komoditas pertanian, mempunyai rasa yang unik yakni perpaduan rasa manis dan asam menjadikan tomat sebagai salah satu buah yang memiliki banyak penggemar. Tomat merupakan sayuran yang dapat tumbuh di lahan rawa lebak. Pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman tomat pada lahan rawa lebak dapat berlangsung optimal apabila diberikan komposisi media tanam, berdasarkan syarat media tanam maka bisa diberikan penambahan abu sekam dan pupuk kandang kotoran sapi untuk memperbaiki sifat fisik tanah rawa lebak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (i) mengetahui pengaruh berbagai komposisi media tanam pada pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman tomat (ii) mendapatkan komposisi media tanam yang terbaik pada pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman tomat. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Longkong Kecamatan Danau Panggang Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Utara dimulai dari bulan Mei sampai Juli 2019. Penelitian ini merupakan percobaan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktor tunggal menggunakan 4 kombinasi perlakuan dengan 6 kelompok, sehingga didapatkan 24 satuan percobaan. Faktor yang diuji adalah komposisi media tanam yaitu m1 = tanah, abu sekam dan pupuk kandang 1:1:1, m2 = tanah, abu sekam dan pupuk kandang 2:1:0, m3 = tanah, abu sekam dan pupuk kandang 2:0:1 dan m4 = tanah, abu sekam dan pupuk kandang 0:2:1. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian berbagai komposisi media tanam berpengaruh nyata terhadap peubah pengamatan tinggi tanaman umur 28 HST, jumlah daun umur 21 HST dan berpengaruh sangat nyata pada umur 28 HST dan tidak berpengaruh terhadap peubah pengamatan yang lain.

Abstract

The purpose of tillage for preparing seedbed place, exterminaring weeds, putting in and fusing plant’s residue to the land in order to find the land condition that needed by root so it will increase air circulation, water infiltration, root growth and take the nutrients by the root. The low productivity of alabio’s yam today because the tillage is still traditional in planting, and no specially treatments given to the land. This research has purpose to know the influence of the tillage method to growth alabio’s yam (Dioscorea alata L.). This research is conducted at Pasar Sabtu Village, Sungai Tabukan District, Hulu Sungai Utara Regency from May until June 2015. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) single factor. Factor studied is tillage method, (t0) zero tillage, (t1) minimum tillage, (t2) maximum tillage. Research result shows that the tillage method given is significant to the plant’s height and the number of leaves at the age of 14 and 21 DAP, significant to the rod’s diameter at the age of 42 DAP and very significant to the plant’s height and the leaves at the age of 28, 35 and 42 DAP, and no significant to the rod’s diameter at the age of 14, 21, 28 and 35 DAP. Maximum tillage gives the best growth for alabio’s yam.

Abstract

Alabio’s yam (Dioscorea alata L.) is a potential carbohydrate source that can be developed to meet food needs, especially in swamps and in dry areas. The use of organic fertilizers is believed to bring more benefits to agricultural production. Bokashi water hyacinth is compost which contains humic acid which can increase seed germination, stimulate plant growth, increase soil fertility, increase yield and produce phytohormone compounds that can accelerate root growth. This study aims to (i) determine the effect of adding water hyacinth bokashi to vegetative and generative performance of alabio sweet potatoes on lebak swamp and (ii) to obtain the best dose of bokashi water hyacinth on vegetative and generative performance of sweet alabio on lebak swamp. This research was conducted in Sungai Tabukan Village, Sungai Tabukan Sub-District, Hulu Sungai Utara Regency from May to November 2018. This study used a single randomized block design (RBD). The factors studied were various doses of water hyacinth bokashi consisting of 4 levels of treatment, namely e0 = 0 kg, e1 = 1 kg, e2 = 2 kg and e3 = 3 kg. The results showed that the addition of water hyacinth bokashi had an effect on the vegetative performance of plants on plant height and number of leaves, not affecting the stem diameter. The e3 treatment (3 kg) is the best dose for the vegetative period of alabio’s yams. As for the generative performance, the addition of water hyacinth bokashi has no effect.

Abstract

Paddy (Oryza sativa L.) is a commodity that is widely cultivated by the people of Hulu Sungai Utara, because the area is in the low land in the form of lebak swamps. Generally cultivated rice varieties that have early maturity. The use of various new superior rice varieties is one way to increase rice productivity in addition to fertilization. By giving various doses of biofertilizer, it is expected to increase rice productivity. This study aims to determine (i) the effect of the interaction of varieties and biofertilizers, (ii) the influence of rice varieties (iii) the effect of biofertilizers, (iv) the best interaction of rice varieties and biofertilizer (v) the best rice varieties and (vi) the best dosage of biofertilizers for the growth and yield of rice plants in swampy swamps. Using a Randomized Factor Two-factor factorial group. The first factor was 3 varieties of rice (V) and the second factor was the administration of biofertilizers (P) with 5 doses. The results showed that there was an effect of rice variety interaction on the number of tillers aged 27 HST, obtained the best varieties of v1 treatment (Inpari 17 varieties) and biofertilizers at p0 treatment affected the number of tillers aged 37 HST in lebak swamps.

Abstract

Soybean is a much needed agricultural commodity in Indonesia. Soybean production in South Kalimantan in 2012 is 3,860 tons of dry weihgt (tDW), in 2013 4,072 tBK, in 2014 8,946 tDW, in 2015 10,537 tDW. Varieties play an important role in soybean production, because to achieve high yields are highly determined by genetic potential. Potential results in the field are influenced by the interaction between genetic factors with the management of climatic and soil environmental conditions. In podsolic soils and soils containing a lot of quartz sand, soybean growth is poor, unless the soil is given additional organic fertilizer. Bioertilizer is a fertilizer whose main content is living organisms (microorganisms) that are beneficial for plant growth. This study aims to (i) know the growth and yield of two soybean varieties with the provision of biological fertilizers (ii) to obtain the best soybean varieties with the provision of biofertilizer. The research was conducted in March - May 2017 at BPTP Experimental Plant of South Kalimantan Muara Rintis Village, District of Batang Alai Utara Regency of Hulu Sungai Tengah. The treatments were two varieties of soybean namely the national superior varieties (Anjosmoro) and local varieties given biological fertilizer. The result of research shows that all observation variables significantly affect with the best soybean varieties are Anjosmoro Varieties.

Abstract

Corn is one commodity that has a strategic role and economical. In Indonesia, the corn cultivated in diverse environments. Rubber is one of the most important plantation crop in South Kalimantan, rubber plantations people usually managed with simple cultivation techniques. Planting corn as intercrops among plantation crops made to utilize the available land, especially in staple crops are not produced. The research was conducted in the Galumbang Village RT III, Paringin Selatan District, Balangan Regency South Kalimantan Province, for 4 months, from May to July 2014. This experiment using a randomized block design with two treatments. The treatments tested were two varieties of sweet corn (B), namely (b1) Jago F1 and (b2) Bonanza F1. Each treatment comprised 12 plants and 16 replications so that overall there are 192 plants with 2 plant samples. Results of analysis of variance showed that the growth and yield of two varieties of sweet corn hybrids as intercrops under the rubber stands significant effect on plant height observation variables aged 28, 35 and 42 days after planting (DAP); variable number of leaf age 28 and 35 DAP; variable diameter stems of plants aged 28, 35, 42 and 49 DAP; and the variable length of the cob without husk of corn. Likewise, no effect on plant height observation variables age 49 DAP; variable number of leaf age 42 and 49 DAP; variables wet weight cob with husk; variables wet weight without husk; and the diameter of the cob without husk. Two variables observation that can not be done analysis of variance that are number of samples per plot and number of cobs per plant samples. Based The DMRT test the best treatment is sweet corn Bonanza F1 (b2) varieties.

Abstract

 Planting adaptive varieties is one of the important efforts that need to be taken so that productivity is higher, resistant to pests and diseases. Seeds are an important component of production technology to obtain optimal production levels. This study aims to determine (i) the best interaction, (ii) the best adaptive varieties (iii) the best seedling age. This research was conducted in Muara Tapus Village from March to September 2021. Using a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD). The first treatment was varieties with 3 levels, namely Ciherang, Cisokan Putih, and Mekongga, the second treatment was seedling age with 5 levels, namely seedling age of 30, 25, 20, 15, and 10 days. The results showed that the best interaction resulted from the Cisokan Putih variety treatment with 30 days of seedling age. Cisokan Putih variety and seedling age of 30 days are the best adaptive varieties and seedling age.

Abstract

Oyster mushrooms usually can growth at any planting medium, are naturally like wood of tree or another medium, such as sawdust, straw, groundsel, waste of sugar cane. That sawdust or straw still need to added with other material, like ricebran, limestones, gypsum, etc. The composition of medium have various formulation. Everyone who cultivate of oyster have special composition for their medium that made from their personal research, e.g the secret of base material, suplement material, and the precisely of mixing. This research has the purpose of (i) knowing of growth and yield of oyster mushroom at various of composition of growing media, and (ii) obtain the best composition of growing media. The research was conducted in the Village of Banjang, Districts of Banjang , HSU and started from March 2012 to June 2012, using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) one factor. Factors tested were composition of planting media (sawdust : rice bran : limestone : gypsum), ie k1 = 90% : 7,5% : 2% : 0,5%, k2 = 80% : 15% : 4% : 1%, k3 = 70% : 22,5% : 6% : 1,5%, k4 = 60% : 30% : 8% : 2% dan k5 = 50% : 37,5% : 10% : 2,5%. The results showed that the composition of planting media determine of growth and yield of oyster mushroom and the composition of planting media that showing of the best of growth and yield is k3.
