Abstract

Kiai and pesantren are acknowledge to have contributed a lot in solving the problems of community welfare, especiallyin socio-religious and economic matters in Indonesia. The existence of pesantren so far has not only been insulated on its duties in managing morals and arranging itself as a tafaqquh fiddin institution that is indifferent to various social dynamics that develop. On the contrary, pesantren are actually responsive and progressive in addressing these issues with concrete work in the direct grassroots realm. Kiai Sahal and Maslakul Huda are examples of how kiai and pesantren figures institutionally contribute to answering social issues. Various activities carried out by the Maslakul Huda Islamic Boarding School are a form of crystallization of Kiai Sahal's ideas in order to respond to the actual social problems of the lower class of Kajen Village and its surroundings. Norms, the social networks in the figure of Kiai Sahal and the Pesantren Maslakul Huda, in this case have succeeded in fostering public trust which in the later stages has made it easier for the Islamic Boarding School Maslakul Huda to instill religious values ​​in their communities. This study tries to see how the social capital in Kiai Sahal and the Islamic Boarding School Maslakul Huda is able to bring success in realizing community welfare. The results of this study mention that community empowerment carried out by Kiai Sahal and the Pesantren Maslakul Huda participated in the process of transforming people's welfare through various activities and institutions under the auspices of the Maslakul Huda Islamic Boarding School Foundation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis problematika pembelajaran Bahasa Arab di Indonesia menggunakan Fishbone Analysis untuk mengidentifikasi akar masalah secara menyeluruh. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis fenomenologi pada problematika pembelajaran bahasa Arab, dengan melakukan wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kendala pembelajaran bahasa Arab di Indonesia bersifat multidimensional, meliputi faktor pedagogis, teknis, dan lingkungan. Keterbatasan kompetensi guru, minimnya media dan bahan ajar kontekstual, kurangnya fasilitas pendukung, serta lingkungan belajar yang tidak mendukung praktik bahasa saling memperkuat satu sama lain dan menurunkan efektivitas pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran membutuhkan intervensi terpadu melalui pelatihan guru, pengembangan bahan ajar inovatif, pemanfaatan media yang beragam, serta penguatan lingkungan berbahasa agar proses belajar lebih efektif dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the cognitive construction of critical thinking in the argumentative writing of students in the Arabic Language Education Department (PBA) at UIN Fatmawati Sukarno Bengkulu. Using a qualitative approach, the data consisted of units of ideas within sentences, paragraphs, and texts derived from students’ argumentative essays collected through writing assignments in the insya’ course. Data analysis followed Miles and Huberman’s model: data reduction, data display, verification, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that the cognitive construction of critical thinking comprises four dimensions: interpretation, analysis, inference, and evaluation. Interpretation involves perspective and definition formation; analysis includes argument components and structure; inference consists of deductive and inductive reasoning; and evaluation covers argument accuracy and logical validity. These findings contribute to the development of argumentative writing instruction by mapping how critical thinking emerges in students’ texts.
