Abstract

In the system of reliability of electric power distribution that is concerned is good and stable voltage quality, because although the continuity of the supply of electrical energy is reliable, but still there will be a voltage drop. Another factor that affects the system voltage change is the power loss caused by the impedance of the conductor channel series, this power loss causes a voltage drop. Consumers who are located far from the service point tend to receive relatively lower stresses, when compared to the voltage received by consumers who are located close to the service center. The existence of a voltage drop on the receiving end pole can cause the network current to be high so that losses that occur in the network increases. To overcome these problems then performed network repair by building substation distribution insertion so as to improve the quality of the voltage and minimize the loss of power on the network. From the calculation of the percentage value of the voltage drop in PT. PLN Area Cikupa before the installation of the substation is 10.6% for the S phase 1 and 11.7% for the S phase 4, the value is not in accordance with SPLN No. 1 of 1995, the tolerance limit of service voltage variation as a result of voltage loss is a maximum of + 5% and a minimum of -10% at the service side. After the installation of the substation was installed, the voltage dropped to 5.1% for the S phase 1 and 6.1% for the S phase 4, where the value was in accordance with the standard.

Abstract

Electricity need in Indonesia continues to increase in accordance with the rate of recovery of the economy and industry and the increase in population. The transmission line transmits electricity from the power plant to the load center via the High Voltage transmission lines (SUTT) or Extra High Voltage Transmissio lines (SUTET), because the long distance causes power losses. The condition before the reconducting of Tebing Tinggi - Kuala Tanjung transmission uses ACSR conductor types and after the reconducting has been replaced by the ACCC, where ACCC has 2 times the current trying of the type of ACSR. In this study, we will examine and analyze the magnitude of the power losses and the efficiency of the distribution of the two types of ACSR and ACCC supply channels with a case study of the 150 kV transmission system Tebing Tinggi - Kuala Tanjung which has a distance of 71.5 km. From the calculation results obtained, after the reconducting process using the conductor the ACCC was able to reduce power losses and increase efficiency by 1.35%.

Abstract

Electricity is the most suitable and appropriate form of energy for modern human life, such as today, where electrical energy has a function that can provide a need or service for electric power obtained by consumers, with electricity human life becomes very pleasant. Television, lighting, traffic lights, all using electricity. So, electricity can be said as a form of technological results that are very vital in human life. With this activity, it is expected that the general public can and understand about safe electrical installation and handling, mitigation of electrical hazards that are not in accordance with PLN's standardization. So that electricity does not necessarily become a scapegoat every time there is a fire in the community, and the voltage system used in Indonesia is: single phase 220 V, and phase three 220/380 V with a frequency of 50 Hz. This voltage system is very influential and dangerous for human safety.
