Abstract

Abstract

In the system of reliability of electric power distribution that is concerned is good and stable voltage quality, because although the continuity of the supply of electrical energy is reliable, but still there will be a voltage drop. Another factor that affects the system voltage change is the power loss caused by the impedance of the conductor channel series, this power loss causes a voltage drop. Consumers who are located far from the service point tend to receive relatively lower stresses, when compared to the voltage received by consumers who are located close to the service center. The existence of a voltage drop on the receiving end pole can cause the network current to be high so that losses that occur in the network increases. To overcome these problems then performed network repair by building substation distribution insertion so as to improve the quality of the voltage and minimize the loss of power on the network. From the calculation of the percentage value of the voltage drop in PT. PLN Area Cikupa before the installation of the substation is 10.6% for the S phase 1 and 11.7% for the S phase 4, the value is not in accordance with SPLN No. 1 of 1995, the tolerance limit of service voltage variation as a result of voltage loss is a maximum of + 5% and a minimum of -10% at the service side. After the installation of the substation was installed, the voltage dropped to 5.1% for the S phase 1 and 6.1% for the S phase 4, where the value was in accordance with the standard.

Abstract

PLTS performances as a power plant does not only convert energy, so that electricity is generated, but in the study of power systems it becomes a major element that has an important role in the study of power systems. As a power system element, the PLTS acts as an element of electricity generation in this study modeled as a PV system and connected to the network, so it must meet the requirements of the electric power network operation. Through MATHLAB / SIMULINK modeling and simulation, a 100 kW peak PLTS power plant has been modeled connected to the network. From the simulation and analysis obtained, this PLTS model shows that the connected load affects the voltage condition but does not affect the frequency. The load power factor also affects the network, namely with a lower load power factor, it affects the voltage on the network.

Abstract

Recently distribution network have connected with power plant unit also with photovoltaic power plant. Therefore voltage profile of distribution grid not any more distance from source there is voltage drop but connected with photovoltaic power plant would be increase grid voltage in this connected point also in the grid line. In this study, the distribution grid with connected with photovoltaic power plant is modelled. By using through MATHLAB / SIMULINK, modeling and simulation can be done ondistribution grid with two point connected to the photovoltaic power plant. From the simulation and analysis obtained, that power injection to grid by photovoltaic power plant can affect voltage grid condition, but not affect grid frequency relatively. The grid voltage will increase if there is power injection to the connected point in grid. Increase the power penetration to the grid would be increase the rise voltage in the grid. The constraint in this case, that power penetration must be considered the condition of quality voltage because any trend for voltage wave become distorted.

Abstract

Abstract

The negative impact of fossil-fueled plants and the lack of public understanding of renewable energy lies behind the holding of these PKM activities with the aim of educating and at the same time transferring technology that is directly beneficial to the community in the form of solar powered street lighting. From the surveys that have been conducted where there are no available street lighting facilities so that there are some community activities that are difficult to do at night. From this work, there were two important things, among others, that the community gained an understanding of renewable energy and knowledge to efficiently use energy to reduce the environmental impact of the dominant fossil power plant in Indonesia. The second is that with the help of solar-powered street lights, the community is very helpful in carrying out activities at night and creates more secure conditions in the community.
