Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari pengaruh beberapa jenis mikoriza terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kedelai di polybag dan untuk mendapatkan jenis mikoriza yang terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kedelai di polybag. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium dan Teaching and Research Farm Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jambi, Desa Mendalo Indah, Kecamatan Jambi Luar Kota, Muaro Jambi selama 4 bulan yaitu dari 26 Agustus sampai dengan bulan 28 Desember 2017. Perlakuan yang di uji yaitu Glomus sp1, Glomus sp2, Glomus sp3, Glomus sp4, Glomus sp5, dan gabungan Glomus sp1 sampai sp5 dengan pemberian dosis sebanyak 20 g per tanaman dan disusun menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) satu faktor dengan empat ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh jenis Mikoriza (Glomus sp) terhadap beberapa parameter pengamatan, yaitu pada parameter jumlah polong pertanaman dan jumlah polong berisi pertanaman, pada parameter bobot tajuk, bobot akar, bobot 100 biji, hasil per tanaman, infeksi akar dan serapan P tanaman belum ditemukan pengaruh yang signifikan pada tanaman kedelai. Pemberian jenis Glomus sp2 dan Glomus sp3 memberikan pengaruh terbaik pada pertumbuhan tanaman kedelai.

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari pengaruh trichokompos sekam padi terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil kacang hijau dan mendapatkan dosis trichokompos yang memberikan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kacang hijau. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian, Unversitas Jambi, Kabupaten Muaro Jambi, Desa Mendalo Indah, pada ketinggian ± 35 m diatas permukan laut. Penelitian dilaksanakan mulai bulan Februari sampai bulan Mei tahun 2017. Percobaan ini disusun dalam Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan satu faktor yaitu trichokompos sekam padi (S) yang terdiri dari 5 taraf yaitu : s0 = tanpa pemberian trichokompos sekam padi, s1 = trichokompos sekam padi dengan dosis 5 ton/ha, s2 = trichokompos sekam padi dengan dosis 10 ton/ha, s3 = trichokompos sekam padi dengan dosis 15 ton/ha, s4 = trichokompos sekam padi dengan dosis 20 ton/ha. Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 5 kali dengan demikian jumlah petak percobaan 25 petakan. Variabel yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah cabang, jumlah polong per tanaman, jumlah polong berisi per tanaman, bobot 1000 biji dan hasil per hektar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian trichokompos sekam padi berpengaruh terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah cabang, jumlah polong pertanaman, jumlah polong berisi pertanaman dan hasil kacang hijau tetapi tidak berpengaruh terhadap bobot

Abstract

This research aimed to study the interaction between rice husk charcoal biochar and chicken manure on the growth and yield of sorghum plants on dry land. The study was conducted at the Teaching and Research Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jambi, with an elevation of ± 35 m above sea level. The study was conducted using a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with factorial patterns of 3 replications. The results showed that there was no interaction between rice husk biochar and chicken manure on the growth and yield of sorghum. Rice husk biochar had an effect on the growth and yield of sorghum plants, but chicken manure only had an effect on stem diameter.

Fish As an animal food, it has several advantages compared to other sources of protein, including the relatively high protein content in the body of fish, which is composed of amino acids that are patterned close to the needs of amino acids in the human body. Fish meat contains unsaturated fatty acids needed by the body. man. This activity will be carried out with an emphasis on the active participation method of the target group. The target group involved in this activity is the fishermen's family group (Prosperous Bangso Village). The approach to this method is expected that the target group can master the simple technological processes of processing snakehead fish such as fish nuggets Conclusion The target group for this service is the Makmur fishermen family group. The Makmur Fishermen family group is very happy with this service activity because they can make their own nuggets with a better taste than buying those in the market. So far they know that nuggets are only made from chicken, not snakehead fish, so they can make snakehead fish nuggets because there are many raw materials such as snakehead fish in the Bangso area. The suggestion is that this Community Service in the Bangso area can be made from processed fish products other than fish nuggets such as meatballs, fish sauce, fish paste and others.

Abstract

The yield of irrigated paddy rice in Sri Agung Village has decreased. In the last four years, the increase in the addition of input units (fertilizers) has not been followed by an increase in economic yields. This study aims to analyze the effect of organic fertilizers on soil fertility, such as pH, total N, organic C, available P and available K. The research was conducted in the rice fields of Sri Agung Village. Batang Asam area, West Tanjung Jabung Regency - Jambi. The research was conducted from April to September 2020. The study used a randomized block design with six treatments and five replications. The treatments tried were: Recommended Fertilizer (R), five types of organic fertilizer with a dose of 10 t ha-1 each, namely, Petroganik+R ( P1), Compost Solid Decanter + R (P2), Chicken Manure + R (P3 ), Cow Manure +R (P4) and Industrial Waste Compost + R (P5). The results showed that organic fertilizers significantly increased available K content of paddy soil but they did not significantly increase soil pH, total N, organic C and available P. The highest yield of dry milled grain (7.52 t ha-1) was obtained at +R (P1) Petroganic treatment.

Abstract

Cempedak seeds are recalcitrant seeds with high water content and are susceptible to a decrease in water content. Seed viability quickly decreases and eventually dies. Decreasing the water content below the critical point is a problem, high water content seeds germinate, and die if stored at low temperatures. With the right storage media, it is hoped that seeds can be stored longer so that seed viability and vigor can be maintained. This research aims to obtain appropriate storage media with a certain storage time that can maintain the viability and vigor of cempedak seeds. The research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) arranged factorially with two factors.  The first factor of storage media (m) consists of m1: sawdust, m2: rice husks, and m3: coconut fiber powder. Meanwhile, the second factor is storage time (w) which consists of three treatment levels, namely w1: storage for 2 weeks, w2: storage for 4 weeks and w3: storage for 6 weeks.  There were 9 treatments. Each treatment was repeated three times so that there were 27 experimental units. Each experimental unit contained 25 cempedak seeds. The variables observed were: seed water content, germination percentage, germination speed, germination uniformity and seedling dry weight. Data were analyzed using the F test and continued with the Duncan test at the α level of 5%. The results of the research showed that cempedak seeds stored in sawdust media for 4 weeks were able to maintain a water content of 36.24%, germination capacity of 69.33%, germination speed of 1.87%, germination simultaneity of 62.66% and seed dry weight. 8.37 grams.Key words: viability ; vigor ; storage media ; storage time; cempedak seeds
