Abstract

Persuasive counseling can prevent drug use in students. Through counseling, students are expected to understand the dangers of drugs, gadgets, and promiscuity. The community service aims to provide counseling concerning the dangers of drugs, gadgets, and promiscuity for Year 12 students at SMAN 1 Lhoknga Class. To determine the success of the counseling, a pre-experimental design method, a One-Group posttest-posttest design, was used. The samples were 13 students selected through simple total sampling. The data were analyzed using a paired-sample t-test, with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that most of the respondents' knowledge before counseling was in a low category (61%). After counseling, it was in the high category (92%). The bivariate analysis results showed the p-value of 0.00, indicating that there was an influence of the counseling on Year 12 students' knowledge about the dangers of drugs, gadgets, and promiscuity at SMAN 1 Loknga. This counseling positively impacts the future development of students to avoid drugs, gadgets, and promiscuity

Abstract

Penyakit kulit merupakan suatu penyakit yang menyerang pada permukaan tubuh, dan disebabkan oleh berbagai macam penyebab. Penyakit kulit adalah penyakit infeksi di temui hampir di setiap pondok pesantren dan dianggap sebagai penyakit yang tidak berbahaya. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendidikan kesehatan kepada santri tentang penyakit kulit khususnya scabies, agar santri terhindar dari scabies dan mampu mencegah penularan scabies.  Berdasarkan hasil analisis tingkat pengetahuan santri sebelum mendapatkan pemaparan materi adalah sebanyak 10 santri (45%) memiliki tingkat pengetahuan rendah, dan sebanyak 12 santri (55%) memiliki tingkat pengetahuan tinggi. Tingkat pengetahuan ini meningkat setelah santri mendapatkan pemaparan materi yaitu santri yang memiliki tingkat pengetahuan rendah 5 santri (23%), dan sebanyak 17 santri (77%) memiliki tingkat pengetahuan tinggi. Kegiatan pendidikan kesehatan sangat memberikan manfaat dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang kesehatan kepada santri,  kegiatan ini perlu dilakukan secara lebih luas agar menambah pengetahuan santri terkait kesehatan.

Abstract

MSMEs making knives have the potential risk of work accidents due to the use of sharp tools, grinding machines, and metal burning processes. This service activity aims to increase workers' understanding of occupational safety and health (K3) through the hazard identification method. The activity was carried out at MSMEs making knives in Lam Blang Trieng Village, Darul Imarah District, Aceh Besar Regency with observation methods, hazard identification, and education to workers. The results of the activity showed that there were several potential hazards such as cut wounds, eye injuries due to metal splashes, burns, respiratory problems due to metal dust, and muscle complaints due to unergonomic working positions. The K3 education provided is expected to increase workers' awareness in applying the principles of occupational safety and the use of personal protective equipment to reduce the risk of work accidents. In addition, this activity also encourages workers to better understand the importance of implementing safe work procedures and a healthy work environment. With the increase in knowledge and awareness of workers, it is hoped that the risk of work accidents in knife manufacturing MSMEs can be minimized.
