Abstract

Workshop on Improving Skills Debate of SMK Muhammadiyah 1 and 3 Ciputat. Which of course is very interesting for students. Through this method students do not feel patronized but they are expected to have their own way how to understand the implementation of an interesting debate because students find themselves an interesting debate style and presented in an interesting  way that teachers and students need to develop,  this can add self-confidence to students. At the time of implementation, the practice of the debate focused on students' activeness in speaking / arguing in the debate. Both groups who will argue either as a negation group or affirmation group play an active role and produce brilliant ideas. After the debate practice, the team will provide its assessment and commentary on the practice of the debate that has been done. Assessment is given as objectively as possible based on a prepared table. The aspects assessed include: The accuracy and authenticity of ideas, the ability to argue,  understanding,  accuracy of  words and sentences, and fluency in conveying ideas. The results obtained after the students were taught using inquiry method and interactive video learning media, there was an increase of results and according to what was expected. The results of the training activities were responded and the questions conveyed by the participants to the Community Service Team  (Tim Pengabdian Masyarakat = TPM). Responses and questions  indicate high interest and curiosity towards the improvement of student debate skills of SMK Muhammadiyah 1 and 3 Ciputat. Thus this training activity is considered successful. The expected outcomes from this Community Service Activity are students of SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Ciputat and SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Ciputat can improve their speaking ability through debate activities. In addition the team will create a scientific article that will be published in the journal ISSNKey word: Debate, Inquiry, Skills, Video Interactive

Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms of women's existence representation in the novel "Terusir" by Hamka. The research data was collected using a qualitative descriptive method with a literary feminism approach. Data collection techniques included library research, reading, and note-taking. The data analysis employed a descriptive approach, involving data classification, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The findings of this study reveal the forms of women's existence representation in three aspects. Firstly, the character of the woman who displays Mariah's character as a woman who is honest, has a strong personality, is independent, never gives up, is patient, weak, afraid, kind, and resigns. Secondly, women's existence is manifested as a strategy of resistance, including their ability to work, become intellectuals, bring about social transformations, and refuse to be someone else. Thirdly, trigger factors for existence that are influenced by gender differences, giving rise to forms of gender injustice experienced by Mariah such as marginalization, subordination, stereotypes, violence, and workload.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan diskriminasi sosial pada tokoh utama penyandang kebutuhan khusus dalam film Miracle In Cell No.7. Data penelitian dikumpulkan menggunakan metode kualitatif diskriptif dengan pendekatan sosiologi sastra. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik simak dan catat. Teknik analisis data deskriptif mulai dari klasifikasi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah pengungkapan diskriminasi sosial dengan melihat empat aspek yaitu diskriminasi Sosial yang terjadi di halaman rumah Melati, diskriminasi sosial yang terjadi di ruang intograsi kantor polisi, diskriminasi sosial yang terjadi di dalam sel penjara, diskriminasi sosial yang terjadi di ruang sidang banding. Diskriminasi adalah tindakan pembedaan terhadap seseorang atau sekelompok masyarakat. Tindakan pembedaan yang paling sering kita temui di masyarakat antara lain, ras, agama, kelas sosial ekonomi, dan kondisi fisik seseorang. Seperti dalam film Miracle In Cell No.7, bahwasannya tokoh utama bernama Dodo Rozak yang mengalami kelainan genetikal, berhak mendapatkan keadilan dan kesetaraan dengan yang lainnya, karena pada hakekatnya manusia adalah mahluk sosial, kita tidak bisa hidup tanpa adanya bantuan orang lain, maka dari itu, kita tidak boleh memandang dengan siapa kita berteman, bergaul atau berinteraksi, tidak peduli bahwa ia berkebutuhan khusus, ras dan agamanya apa, karena pada hakekatnya kita semua sama, maka perlakukanlah mahluk sosial dengan sebaik-baiknya.
