Abstract

Abstrak Penggilingan gabah sangat berperan nyata dalam memajukan perberasan nasional. Mutu beras yang rendah dan harga yang fluktuatif cenderung tidak memberikan insentif kepada petani. Tingginya kebutuhan akan beras, menyebabkan kebutuhan alat mesin pertanian pun meningkat. Mesin pengupas gabah yang banyak dipakai dewasa ini adalah tipe roll karet. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menghitung efesiensi mesin pemecah kulit gabah (husker) dan mengetahui mutu beras. Penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk menghitung rendemen yang dihasilkan dari mesin pemecah kulit gabah (husker). Penelitian dilakukan, dilokasi penggilingan gabah kecil yang bertempat di kelurahan laikang, kecamatan biringkanaya, makassar, sulawesi selatan. Pada penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam beberapa tahap diantaranya tahap pengumpulan alat dan bahan. Parameter untuk menganalisis kapasitas giling, mutu beras dan rendemen beras dilakukan pengamatan untuk bobot gabah yang akan digiling, bobot beras hasil gilingan, dan waktu menggiling gabah menjadi beras. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data didapatkan bahwa nilai rendemen giling meningkat pada kecepatan putaran 1354 rpm. Hasil dari efisiensi pengupasan pada kecepatan putaran mesin 1237 rpm  persentase rata-rata efisiensi pengupasan 46,3%, pada rpm 1354 diperoleh hasil rata-rata efisiensi pengupasan berkisar 46,7% dan pada kecepatan putaran mesin 1395 rpm diketahui persentase rata-rata efisiensi pengupasan 46,6%. Mutu beras yang dihasilkan dari kualitas pengupasan pada kecepatan putaran mesin 1237 rpm persentase butir utuh 70,03 %, butir patah 3,58%, butir menir 1,51%. Persentase butir utuh pada kecepatan putaran 1354 rpm yaitu 67,75%, butir patah 5,16% dan butir menir 2,89%. Sedangkan pada kecepatan putaran mesin 1395 rpm persentase butir patah 56,26%, butir patah 4,80%, butir menir 1,27%. Mutu gabah yang diperoleh dari pengamatan derajat kebersihan gabah butir hijau termasuk kategori mutu III, butir kuning termasuk mutu IV, butir rusak mutu IV, butir asing mutu IV dan butir kapur termasuk kategori mutu II. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa standar mutu pada kecepatan putaran 1237 rpm termasuk mutu beras paling baik.

Abstract

Sustainable groundwater extraction can be achieved if there is a balance between the amount of groundwater extracted and recharge. The ability of aquifers to release groundwater that affects groundwater extraction and recharge depends on aquifer characteristics. Therefore, aquifer characteristics need to be known so that the amount of extraction does not exceed groundwater recharge. This study aims to determine the position, thickness, type, specific yield and hydraulic conductivity of aquifers and identify catchment areas as sources of groundwater and groundwater potential. This research was conducted by interpolating lithology data and measuring aquifer hydraulic conductivity by pumping test methods. Hydraulic conductivity values were processed using Solver Add Ins in Microsoft Excel to get optimal conductivity values. The source of groundwater recharge was predicted based on a flownet of groundwater surface contour data and groundwater potential calculated using the Darcy’s approach. The results showed that the hydraulic conductivity in the study area was 16.13 m / day, the specific result was 0.32 with aquifer in the form of sand. Based on the flownet, the source of recharge comes from the western side of the watershed which flows eastward with a potential of 14,517 m3 / day ≈ 168.02 lt / sec.

Abstract

Loss of agricultural products occurs in post-harvest handling process. The threshing process is part of the rice post-harvest that can be done with various techniques and various types of rice thresher machine. Multipurpose thresher is one type of thresher that can thresh the grains such as rice and soybeans. The aim of Performance efficiency test is to determine the performance efficiency of the thresher. The parameters measured were threshing capacity, threshing efficiency, and thresher quality. Testing is done by using the engine speed of 2500 rpm and 3000 rpm, with the tested varieties of rice varieties Ciherang and Bestari. Test results show that the efficiency of Ciherang varieties cutting is better if using the speed of rotation 2500 rpm engine. If using a speed of 3000 rpm occurs losses results. As for Bestari varieties more efficient if using a speed of 3000 rpm. The higher the speed of rotation of the machine then the level of grain damage will also increase Keywords: rice, threshing, varieties, multipurpose thresher ABSTRAK Kehilangan hasil pertanian banyak terjadi pada proses penanganan pascapanen. Proses perontokan merupakan bagian dari pascapanen padi yang dapat dilakukan dengan berbagai teknik dan berbagai jenis mesin perontok padi. Alat perontok multiguna termasuk salah satu jenis perontok yang dapat merontokkan biji-bijian seperti padi dan kedelai. Pengujian efisiensi kinerja alat perontok multiguna bertujuan untuk mengetahui efisiensi kinerja alat perontok. Parameter yang diukur adalah kapasitas perontokan, efisiensi perontokan, dan kualitas perontokan. Pengujian tersebut dilakukan dengan menggunakan kecepatan putaran mesin 2500 rpm dan 3000 rpm, dengan varietas padi yang diuji yaitu varietas Ciherang dan Bestari. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa efisiensi perontokan varietas Ciherang lebih baik jika menggunakan kecepatan putaran mesin 2500 rpm. Jika menggunakan kecepatan putaran mesin 3000 rpm terjadi susut hasil. Sedangkan untuk varietas Bestari lebih efisien jika menggunakan kecepatan putaran mesin 3000 rpm. Semakin tinggi kecepatan putaran mesin maka tingkat kerusakan gabah juga akan semakin meningkat. Kata kunci : padi, perontokan, varietas, rpm, perontok multiguna

Abstract

In smallholder cacao plantations, the protective crops used varied, so they have different effects on splash erosion. The management of land cover with a canopy of cacao and shade trees on cacao fields, aims to control of splash erosion. This study was conducted by directly measuring the magnitude of splash erosion under several levels of canopy cover. The magnitude of splash erosion was determined by measuring the depth of the eroded soil using the bottle cap method. The measurements were carried out every rain event (46 rain events with rainfall varied from 0.28 to 97.04 mm). The canopy cover level was determined by analyzing the images taken using a digital camera. The images were processed by Matlab software with closure approach. The data were analyzed by regression analysis to determine the relationship between canopy cover level and the depth of splash erosion that occurred. The results showed that the level of canopy cover influence the depth of splash erosion. In addition, this study indicates that the level of splash erosion not only influenced by the level of closure and rainfall, but also strongly influenced by the size of the leaf cover. Keywords: Cacao plantation, Canopy cover, Regression analysis, Splash erosion.
