Abstract

Adolescents, even those in junior high school, have incorporated social media into their daily routines, making it an essential component of their lives. The objective of this study is to examine how social media influences the adoption of pro-environmental behavior among junior high school students in Bandung Regency, Indonesia, by mediating their pro-environmental knowledge and attitudes. This study employs quantitative methodologies via a survey-based approach. We administered questionnaires to a sample of 300 junior high school students in Bandung Regency to collect data. The questionnaire encompasses inquiries on social media use, pro-environmental knowledge, pro-environmental attitudes, and pro-environmental conduct. The research findings indicate that social media exerts a beneficial influence on the pro-environmental conduct of junior high school pupils. The statistically significant positive correlation coefficient (r = 0.35, p < 0.01) supports the connection between the usage of social media and pro-environmental behavior. Pro-environmental knowledge and attitudes influence the connection between social media use and pro-environmental behavior, as revealed by mediation analysis. Consequently, social media enhances students' understanding and beliefs about the environment, thereby motivating them to engage in environmentally friendly actions. The findings of this study demonstrate that social media can serve as a potent instrument for promoting pro-environmental conduct among adolescents in junior high school.

Abstract

Abstract

Psychological factors play an important role in traffic compliance. Some psychological aspects that can influence driver behavior include self-safety motivation, self-control, and legal awareness. In psychology, the problem of compliance with the law alone is indeed less effective in implementing the law in society. Returning to the definition above, compliance is limited to only not violating the rules or avoiding punishment, so the attitude of compliance is only temporary. It would be ideal if traffic regulations were not only obeyed but also not internalized. If people have internalized the rules, they will obey them very much at all times. Because if they violate what has been internalized, then conflict will arise within themselves, in general people try to avoid conflicts. The relationship between psychological factors and compliance with traffic regulations is very complex and is influenced by various elements, including individual motivation, self-control, and legal awareness. Efforts to improve compliance must consider these aspects to create a safer traffic environment. Adolescent compliance with traffic regulations, especially for motorcyclists, is influenced by various psychological factors. Overall, these psychological factors interact with each other and influence adolescent behavior in traffic. Efforts to improve compliance with traffic regulations must consider these psychological aspects to be more effective.

Abstract

Disaster resilience depends not only on infrastructure and preparedness, but also on how pro-environmental behavior is integrated into the recovery process. This article discusses the importance of adopting environmentally friendly practices in disaster recovery efforts to create more sustainable resilience. By implementing strategies such as efficient waste management, ecosystem rehabilitation, and responsible use of natural resources, communities can reduce the environmental impacts of disasters and improve their preparedness for future risks. In addition, community participation, government policies, and cross-sectoral collaboration are key to building an environmentally oriented culture of resilience. Through education and community-based programs, awareness of the importance of pro-environmental behavior can be increased, so that disaster recovery focuses not only on physical aspects but also on ecosystem sustainability. By integrating sustainability principles into disaster recovery, communities can create systems that are more resilient and adaptive to environmental changes. This approach not only reduces the risk of future disasters but also supports sustainable development that takes into account the balance between social, economic, and ecological aspects.

Abstract

The hospital’s responsibility to provide excellent service to patients reflects the expectations of the government, society, and hospital management. Efforts to achieve this can be realized by establishing a strong Service Climate within the organization. Service Climate refers to employees’ perceptions of the procedures, actions, and behaviors expected by the organization in relation to customer service and represents an essential factor in improving service performance. This study aims to examine the role of gender in shaping perceptions of service climate in hospitals, referring to the theory of Schneider and White (2004). The research hypothesis stated that there is a difference in perceptions of service climate between male and female nurses. This study employed a quantitative descriptive design with a convenience random sampling technique. The participants consisted of 254 nurses who handled stunting cases in several hospitals across West Java. The service climate instrument comprised 22 items and demonstrated high internal consistency (Cronbach’s Alpha = 0.968). Descriptive results showed a mean score of 70,05 (SD = 8.56), indicating that the overall perception of service climate was in the moderately high category. The independent samples t-test revealed a significant difference between female nurses (M = 70.92, SD = 8.99) and male nurses (M = 68.04, SD = 7.12), t(252) = 2.493, p = 0.013, with a small-to-moderate effect size (Cohen’s d = 0.34). Further dimensional analysis found significant differences in four out of five dimensions. These findings confirm that gender plays a role in shaping perceptions of hospital service climate, although it is not the sole determining factor.
