Abstract

This research is motivated by the presence of students who are late for school, there are students who withdraw during school hours, there are students who don't dress neatly to school, there are students who often go in and out during school hours, there are students who wear colorful shoes to school. The purpose of this study is to describe: 1) The form of student discipline based on the authoritarian concept, 2) The form of student discipline based on the permissive concept, 3) The form of student discipline based on the concept of controlled freedom. This research is a quantitative descriptive study that seeks to describe a situation as it is. The population of this study was all students of class VII SMPN 1 Koto XI Tarusan, Pesisir Selatan Regency totaling 87 people. The sampling technique used was total sampling technique. The instrument used is a questionnaire. Data analysis used percentage technique. The results of this study reveal that in general the profile of the discipline form of students in class VII SMPN 1 Koto XI Tarusan, Pesisir Selatan Regency is in the High category. Judging from each indicator: 1) The form of student discipline seen from discipline based on authoritarian concepts is in the Low category, 2) The form of student discipline seen from discipline based on permissive concepts is in the high category. 3) The form of student discipline seen from the discipline based on the concept of controlled freedom is in the very high category. Based on the findings of this study, the researcher recommends that students be able to maintain, maintain order and improve discipline.

Abstract

This study aims to find out (1) a description of parents' social support for children in class XI MIPA at SMAN 1 Padang Sago, Padang Pariaman Regency, (2) a description of students' learning difficulties in class XI MIPA at SMAN 1 Padang Sago, Padang Pariaman Regency, and (3)tested the relationship between parents' social support and students' learning difficulties in class XI MIPA at SMAN 1 Padang Sago, Padang Pariaman Regency. This type of research is a correlational descriptive research. The population in the study were all students in class XI MIPA at SMA Negeri 1 Padang Sago with a total of 78 students. A sample of 32 students was taken using a purposive sampling technique. The instrument used for the study was a closed questionnaire and for correlation analysis using the Correlation Person Product Moment method with the validation results of parents' social support was 0.640 and learning difficulties were 0.545, the results of the reliability of parental social support were Cronbach alpha value 0.963 and learning difficulties were Cronbach alpha value 0. 920. The results showed that: (1) parental social support is in the "moderate" category, (2) learning difficulties are in the "moderate" category, and (3) there is a relationship between the two variables that is negative and significant between social support parents (X) with learning difficulties (Y) in students of 0.563 with a fairly strong correlation coefficient. This research is recommended for students and parents to work together in their children's education so they can achieve optimal education for their children.

Abstract

The background of this research is that in this school there are still students who have online game addiction behavior. The purpose of this research is to describe; 1). Prior to being given behavioral counseling services using modeling techniques. 2). After that, behavioral counseling services were given using modeling techniques. 3). The effectiveness of behavioral counseling using modeling techniques to overcome online game addiction in students. The research was conducted using a descriptive quantitative experimental method. The population of this research is 6 students. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique, namely 2 students. The instrument used is a questionnaire. As for data analysis using the Paired Sample T test. Based on the results of research on: The effectiveness of behavioral counseling using modeling techniques to reduce online game addiction. 1). Previously given behavioral counseling services using modeling techniques were in the high and medium categories. 2). after being given behavioral counseling services using modeling techniques are in the very low and low categories. 3). The effectiveness of behavioral counseling services using modeling techniques to reduce online game addiction behavior in students is effective because there is a significant change between pretest and posttest. This research is recommended for counseling teachers who are expected to be able to provide language counseling services by using modeling techniques and utilizing existing facilities and infrastructure in schools.
