Abstract

Research objectives were to study the interaction between fertilizing time and potasium fertilizer dosageand to evaluate the use of ash of copra fumigation to be potasium fertilizer substitute to increasingcarrot production. Randomized block design was used. The treatment was combination time ofapplication and dosage of fertilizer. Each treatment was repeated three times. The first factor was thetime of application consisted of the application at planting (A1) and application after two weeks (A2).The second factor was fertilizer dosage consisted of 100 % recomended potasium + 0 % ash of coprafumigation (B1), 75% recomended potasium + 25 % ash of copra fumigation (B2), 50% recomandedpotasium + 50 % ash of copra fumigation (B3), 25% recomanded potasium + 75 % ash of coprafumigation (B4), 0% recomanded potasium + 100% ash of copra fumigation (B5). Observed variableswere length of bulb (cm) , bulb diameter (cm), tuber fresh weight at haverst (g) and bulb yield per plot.The result showed that there was no interaction between time and dosage of fertilizer. Similarly, singlefactor both time and dosage of fertilizer did not affect the production of carrot. ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini untuk mempelajari pengaruh interaksi antara waktu pemberian dan dosis pupukkalium terhadap produksi tanaman wortel, dan mempelajari kemungkinan subtitusi pupuk kaliumdengan abu pengasapan kopra terhadap produksi tanaman wortel.Penelitian ini menggunakanrancangan acak kelompok dengan perlakuan kombinasi antara waktu aplikasi dan dosis pupuk kaliumyang di ulang 3 kali. Perlakuan tersebut adalah:Faktor A : waktu aplikasi yang terdiri dari 2 taraf, yaituA1 adalah aplikasi saat tanam dan A2 adalah aplikasi 2 minggu setelah tanam.Faktor B : dosis pupukyang terdiri dari 5 taraf yaitu: B1 = 100% Kalium anjuran + 0% abu pengasapan kopra, B2 = 75% kaliumanjuran + 25% abu pengasapan kopra, B3 = 50% kalium anjuran + 50 % abu pengasapan kopra, B4 =25% kalium anjuran + 75% abu pengasapan kopra, B5 = 0% Kalium anjuran + 100 % abu pengasapankopra, Variabel yang diamati : panjang umbi (cm), Diameter umbi (cm), berat segar umbi saat panen (g)dan hasil umbi per petak . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada interaksi antara waktupemberian dan dosis pupuk terhadap variabel-variabel yang diamati : Panjang umbi, diameter umbi,berat segar umbi dan hasil umbi per petak. Demikian pula sebagai faktor tunggal baik waktu pemberianmaupun dosis pupuk tidak berpengaruh terhadap produksi tanam wortel.

Abstract

ABSTRACT   The objective of this research is to detect the influence of shade kinds to the  growth and yield of paprika and the suitable kinds of shades for paprika. Varieties Yolo Wonder was applied in this research and the research was located at Kakaskasen III, Kecamatan Tomohon Utara for four months.  The research was carried on through Randomized Group Design by using three types of treatments and six replicates.  The treatments were as follows:  without shade, using transparent plastic shade and  using stubble of paddy shade. Detected variable included: the height of the plant, leaf area, amount of the fruit, length, diametre and the weight of the fruit. The height of the plant measured every week since two weeks after planting  and the leaf area was measured according to the height of the plant. The amount, lenght, diametre and the weight of the fruit measured during the harvest time. The result of the research shows that diffrerent kinds of shades brings different influence to the growth and yield of paprika and the research shows that the suitable shade for the growth and yield of paprika is transparent plastic shade. Abstract

This study aims to obtain a good and suitable planting medium for the growth and production of tomato plants, and this research was carried out from January 2022 to April 2022. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) which consisted of 4 treatments with 4 replications. The results showed that the type of growing media affected the growth (plant height and number of leaves) and production (fruit weight and number of fruits) of tomato plants. The best use of planting media was obtained from the treatment of soil + cow manure growing media. Keywords: Tomato Plants, Growing Media Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan media tanam yang baik dan sesuai untuk pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman tomat, dan penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari 2022 sampai bulan April 2022. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dengan 4 ulangan. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa jenis media tanam berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan (tinggi tanaman dan jumlah daun) serta produksi (bobot buah dan jumlah buah) tanaman tomat. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the interaction between paclobutrazol (PBZ) with Nitrogen (N) nutrients on the growth and yield of potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) var. Granola L. It was conducted in Mokobang Village, Modoinding District, South Minahasa Regency. This research was carried out in the form of field experiments and laboratory analysis. The treatment consisted of two factors: A. PBZ at doses: 1) 3 kg PBZ/ha, 2) 3.5 kg PBZ/ha, and 3) 4 kg PBZ/ha. B. Nitrogen nutrient at doses: 1) 200 kg N/ha, 2) 250 kg N/ha, 3) 300 kg N/ha. The placement used RGD and each treatment was repeated 3 times, there were 27 combinations (3 x 3 x 3). The results showed an interaction between the growth and yield of potato plants. Generally, higher doses of PBZ and N increased the growth of plant height, number of leaves, number of branches, leaf wet weight and dry weight, stem wet weight and dry weight, root wet weight and dry weight, plant wet weight and dry weight, and leaf chlorophyll content and tuber yield. The interaction of PBZ and N increased the tuber yield of potato plants per hectare. The highest tuber productivity resulted from the treatment of 4 kg PBZ and 200 kg N/ha (P3N1) at 37.9 tons/ha, while the lowest productivity resulted from the combination of 3 kg PBZ and 250 kg N/ha (P1N2) at 27.3 tons/ha. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis interaksi antara paclobutrazol (PBZ) dengan hara Nitrogen (N) terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil kentang (Solanum tuberosum L.) var. Granola L. Dilaksanakan di Desa Mokobang Kecamatan Modoinding Kabupaten Minahasa Selatan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk percobaan lapangan dan analisis laboratorium. Perlakuan terdiri dari dua faktor yaitu: A. PBZ diberikan pada umur 6 MST, dengan dosis: 1) 3 kg PBZ/ha, 2) 3,5 kg PBZ/ha dan 3) 4 kg PBZ/ha. B. pupuk N diberikan pada umur 4 dan 6 MST, dengan dosis: 1) 200 kg N/ha, 2) 250 kg N/ha, 3) 300 kg N/ha. Penempatan menggunakan RAK dan setiap perlakuan diulang 3 kali, terdapat 27 kombinasi (3 x 3 x 3). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya interaksi terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kentang. Umumnya, makin tinggi dosis PBZ dan N meningkatkan pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah cabang, berat basah dan berat kering daun, berat basah dan berat kering batang, berat basah dan berat kering akar, berat basah dan berat kering tanaman, kandungan klorofil daun, dan hasil umbi. Interaksi PBZ dan N meningkatkan hasil umbi tanaman kentang per hektar. Produktivitas umbi tertinggi dihasilkan dari perlakuan 4 kg PBZ dan 200 kg N/ha (P3N1) yaitu 37.9 ton/ha, sedangkan produktivitas terendah dihasilkan dari kombinasi 3 kg PBZ dan 250 kg N/ha (P1N2) yaitu 27.3 ton/ha. Abstract

Spinach (Amaranthus sp) is a plant belonging to the Amaranthaceae family. Spinach is one of the oldest food plants in the world originating from America, which has been cultivated around 6700 years BC and is now spread throughout tropical and subtropical areas throughout the world. Copra fumigation ash contains macro and micro nutrients that plants need, one of which is potassium. This research aims to determine the effect of copra fumigation ash on the growth of spinach plants. This research was carried out at the Green House, Faculty of Agriculture, Sam Ratulangi University, Manado, North Sulawesi from June to July 2024. This research used a Randomized Group Design (RAK) with six treatments and four replications consisting of Without Ash Copra Fumigation (K0), 5 tons Copra Fumigation Ash/ha (K1), 10 tonnes of Copra Fumigation Ash/ha (K2), 15 tonnes of Copra Fumigation Ash/ha (K3), 20 tonnes of Copra Fumigation Ash/ha (K4) and 25 tonnes of Copra Fumigation Ash/ha ( K5). The research data were analyzed using the F test using the Microsoft Office Excel program to determine the effect of copra fumigation ash treatment on the growth of spinach plants. The research results showed that copra fumigation ash had a significant effect on the variable height of spinach plants but not on the number of leaves and width of spinach leaves. Copra fumigation ash also has a very significant effect on the fresh weight of spinach plants. It is recommended to use copra ash at a dose of 20 tons/ha as the recommended dose for spinach cultivation activities.
