Abstract

Bridge health monitoring system is a real-time data collection system that consists of components, responses, changes, and the construction process of bridge structures. This system aims to help assessing the structural security risks that could damage to the bridge structure by utilizing Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) as data retrieval. This system has a focus on the structure parameters of the bridge,but does not pay attention to vehicle factors,such as vehicle weight, vehicle patterns,and types of vehicles that pass on the bridge,whichcan also be factors of the bridge's health assessment. Anothersystem,namelya traffic control system,measuresvehicle weight using Weight in Motion (WIM).It can be used to obtainvehicle factors,especially vehicle weight,that also helps in assessing bridge health. This paper proposes the integrationof these two systems in order to create a system that can measure health of bridge structures,as well asmonitor the weight of the vehicle.Through this integration, it is possible to manage WSN sleep and wake time which helps saving energy.Experimental result shows that the system can measure natural frequencies close to the value of Finite Element Analysis (FEA),showing the validity of the developed system.

Abstract

Abstrak Jembatan merupakan struktur konstruksi yang menghubungkan dua bagian jalan yang terputus karena keadaan geografis untuk melewati rintangan dan medan alam yang ada. Jembatan dari waktu ke waktu akan mengalami kerusakan dan diperlukan perawatan sehingga pengecekan jembatan perlu dilakukan untuk mengecek sejauh mana jembatan menurun kualitas dan kemampuannya dikarenakan oleh berbagai faktor yang ada. Permasalahan yang timbul dikarenakan proses pengecekan yang dilakukan masih manual dan data yang di dapat terkadang tidak akurat dari satu pengawas dan pengawas lainnya. Maka dilakukannya pengembangan sistem sebagai pemecah masalah yang menerapkan Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) sebagai penerapan deteksi kerusakan menggunakan metode vibration-based damage detection dan karakterisasi strategi untuk engineering structures yang dapat berguna untuk melakukan pengawasan struktur konstruksi terutama struktur konstruksi jembatan yang di gabungkan dengan Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) untuk menjadi alat pendeteksi atau alat pengambilan data sehingga dapat tercipta suatu sistem pengawasan jembatan yang dapat menghitung nilai rating, kapasitas dan juga bentuk Mode shape kondisi jembatan. Kata kunci: Sistem pengawasan kesehatan struktur, Jaringan sensor nirkabel, penilaian kondisi jembatan berdasarkan getaran, nilai jembatan, kapasitas jembatan. Abstract The bridge is a construction structure that connects two parts of a road that were cut off due to geographical conditions to pass obstacles and existing natural terrain. The bridge will be damaged from time to time and maintenance is needed so checking the bridge needs to be done to check the extent to which the bridge is declining in quality and ability due to various factors. Problems that arise due to the checking process carried out are still manual and the data that can sometimes be inaccurate from one supervisor and another supervisor. So doing the development of the system as a problem solver that applies Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) as the application of damage detection and characterization strategies for engineering structures that can be useful to supervise construction structures, especially bridge construction structures combined with Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) to become a tool a detector or data retrieval tool so that a bridge monitoring system can be created that can calculate the rating value, capacity and also Mode shape of the bridge's Condition Mode.
