Abstract

Adolescence is a period of searching for identity in a life process. Not a few teenagers who do exploratory actions in this phase. These actions can affect changes physically, psychologically and psychosocially. Not infrequently the actions taken or obtained by a teenager lead the teenager to psychiatric and mental disorders such as depression. It is known that no less than one third of teenagers in Indonesia are teenagers with depressive disorders. In such conditions, parents as the first environment of a teenager have an important role to improve the mental health and psyche of a teenager. This study aims to look at the role of parents as a supporting system in dealing with depressed adolescents. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with a literature study approach. The data used is secondary data obtained by observing the literature. The results showed that (1) depression is a psychiatric disorder that is prone to occur in adolescents. Depression is also related to the lifestyle of adolescents, age, gender, socio-economic conditions, and the existence of acts of bullying that have been received by these adolescents; (2) depression can affect the psychological and social well-being of a teenager. Therefore, parents must have an understanding of the indications and causes of depression so that parents are able to take appropriate action and can become a support system for a teenager who is experiencing depression; (3) high support from parents can provide a greater opportunity for adolescents to get out of depression.

Abstract

In the next few years, Indonesia will reach the peak of the demographic bonus, where most of the population is of productive age and almost one-third are younger. The demographic bonus needs to be utilized optimally by improving the quality of its human resources. One indicator of the quality of human resources is mental health, which is believed to increase national productivity. Mental health plays a big role in realizing a superior generation. Through descriptive qualitative research methods, this study aims to discuss the superior character of the Christian youth that other young people do not have about mental health and Christian religiosity. The results showed that religiosity was directly proportional to better levels of mental health. The Bible through Christian Education has been shown to have a powerful influence on the mental health of individuals. Emotional intelligence developed through the ability to self-reflect, stress management, emotional release through forgiveness, peaceful conflict resolution, and increased optimism and hope are results that can be implemented in everyday life.

Abstract

The participation of young people in discipleship communities has become a crucial challenge for today’s church, as many youths only attend Sunday services without deeper involvement. This study employs a qualitative literature review approach, drawing data from books, journals, online sources, and the Bible, to analyze strategies for increasing youth engagement in discipleship. The findings show that warm relational bridges such as connections areas are important entry points, but strong and healthy discipleship groups are essential for sustaining growth. Small groups of 8–12 members, supported by intentional mentoring and leadership regeneration, create a setting where youths can grow spiritually, experience meaningful fellowship, and be equipped for future service. The study concludes that building relational culture, acceptance, and consistent leadership development are key strategies for churches to form committed young disciples and ensure the continuity of faith across generations. Keywords:  Youth participation, Discipleship, Church strategy

Abstract

Yesus memberikan perintah yang disebut amanat agung kepada para murid-Nya sebelum Ia terangkat ke sorga yaitu supaya mereka mengabarkan berita Injil ke segala bangsa. Suku Jawa adalah suku yang memiliki jumlah penduduk terbesar di Indonesia. Saat ini jumlah pemeluk agama Kristen di provinsi Jawa Tengah dan Jawa Timur berkisar dua sampai tiga persen saja. Hal ini menjadi salah satu tujuan dan sasaran dalam amanat agung tersebut. Untuk melaksanakan misi tersebut penulis merumuskan masalah dalam penelitian ini bagaimana Injil dapat dipahami dan diterima oleh suku Jawa. Setiap daerah mempunyai budaya masing-masing sehingga ketika Injil disampaikan di daerah tersebut para pekabar Injil harus memahami kebiasaan masyarakat di daerah tersebut sehingga Injil dapat dikontektualisasikan dalam budaya atau kebiasaan yang ada di daerah itu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskritif dengan pendekatan studi kepustakaan. Kesimpulan penulis bahwa Injil dapat dikontekstualisasikan melalu wawasan dunia yang dimiliki suku Jawa yaitu alon-alon waton kelakon.    Kata kunci: Kontekstualisasi, Injil, Wawasan Dunia, Suku Jawa, Alon Alon Waton Kelakon
