Abstract

Learning assessment is important aspect in valuing education achievement. In line with this, the Ministry of Education and Culture issues minister of education and culture regulation No. 23 Year 2016 (Permendikbud No 23 Year 2016) governing the standard of assessment, one of which is authentic assessment. This research aimed at describing authentic assessment in English learning toward the students of two rural state schools in Tabanan regency, namely SMP Negeri 1 Kerambitan and SMP Negeri 2 Kediri. The subjects of this research were five teachers and 155 students. The techniques of data collection used in this research were observation, interview, and documentation. The data were analyzed by using qualitative data analysis consisting of data reduction, data display, conclusion, and verification. Based on the analysis, it was found that (1) the authentic assessment was implemented in learning process by assessing the competence of attitude, knowledge, and skills. (2) the techniques of assessment used to value each competency include (a) observation and journal for attitude competency, (b) written test, oral test, and assignment for knowledge competency, and (c) performance, project, and portfolio for skills competency. The conclusion of this research is the authentic assessment in both schools is well implemented. It is due to the efforts of the local government through Department of Education and each school to hold the training program to the teachers on curriculum 2013 implementation.

Abstract

Bagaimana mengajar dengan senang? Kita tahu bahwa sekolah – sekolah zaman sekarang telah mengalami perubahan yang dramatis. Murid dan orang tua zaman sekarang berbeda, bukan hanya perbedaan khusus secara etnis, tetapi juga dalam konteks yang lebih luas, seperti keluarga, komunitas dan masyarakat. Guru zaman sekarang tidak lagi berpikir “apa yang saya ajarkan” melainkan “apa yang dipelajari siswa – siswa saya”. Itulah pekerjaan yang paling menantang bagi guru. Tentu itu bukanlah hal yang menyenangkan. Akan tetapi, dibalik tekanan, kesulitan dan tantangan tersebut, bahwa masih ada hal yang menyenangkan dalam mengajar, antara lain, dengan mengajar melihat apa yang dibutuhkan siswa dan melihat diri siswa itu sendiri. Melihat perubahan tingkah laku dan karakter siswa yang berbeda-beda. Profesi guru sangat identik dengan peran mendidik, seperti membimbing, membina, mengatur ataupun mengajar. Melihat peran tersebut sudah menjadi kemutlakan bahwa guru harus memiliki integritas dan kepribadian yang baik dan benar. Hal ini sangat mendasar karena tugas guru bukan hanya mengajar tetapi juga menanamkan nilai – nilai dasar pengembangan karakter siswa.

Abstract

The process of communication and social interaction raises the tendency of a speaker to utilize the potential for language variations. One variation of the language is code switching and code mixing to maintain togetherness in the community. Code switching and code mixing are changes in the use of a particular language or variety of languages to other languages. This study aims to describe certain forms of code switching and interfering forms found in the Student and Student Dialogue in Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Mahasaraswati University (Unmas) Denpasar. The results of the study show that there is indeed code switching and code mixing in the Manggarai student and student dialogue. took place at the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Program (PSP) Teacher Training and Education Faculty (FKIP) Mahasaraswati University Denpasar (Unmas). The forms of code switching and code mixing in the dialogues of Manggarai students and students are in the form of sentences and words. The factors that influence code switching and code mixing in the dialogues of Manggarai students and students take place, namely. Speakers or speakers, listeners or opponents of speech, habitual factors, changing situations, the presence of third people, changing situations from formal to informal, changing topic of conversation, forgetting local language, affirmation or to clarify, to trends and not to be outdated.
