Abstract

Abstract – Trip fare payment using paper money on public transport Bus Rapid Transit Bandar Lampung considered normal. The payment process can be improved using a technology called Near Field Communication (NFC) in android smartphone, which in turn was named after the mobile ticketing process. The author tries to analyze this technology using SWOT analysis (Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) before the technology is applied. The results obtained are in this technology: Strenghts - efficient use, Weaknesses - all those not yet ready to use, Opportunities - the organizers can reap the benefits of the application of this technology, Threats - security is still doubted by consumers. Solution of existing problems that the government should start first by issuing government regulations and the ecosystems that support for NFC technology. Keywords - SWOT Analysis, Mobile Ticketing, Near Field Communication (NFC). Intisari — Pembayaran tarif perjalanan menggunakan uang kertas pada transportasi publik Bus Rapid Transit Bandar Lampung dianggap sudah biasa. Proses pembayaran dapat ditingkatkan menggunakan teknologi Near Field Communication (NFC) pada smartphone android, yang selanjutnya proses ini dinamakan mobile ticketing. Penulis mencoba menganalisa teknologi ini menggunakan metode analisa SWOT (Strenght, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) sebelum teknologi ini diterapkan. Hasil yang didapatkan yaitu teknologi ini memiliki: Strenghts – efisien penggunaannya, Weaknesses – semua pihak belum siap penggunaannya, Opportunities – pihak penyelenggara dapat meraup keuntungan dari pengaplikasian teknologi ini, Threats­ – keamanan masih diragukan oleh konsumen. Solusi dari permasalahan yang ada yaitu pemerintah harus memulai terlebih dahulu dengan mengeluarkan peraturan pemerintah dan ekosistem yang mendukung untuk teknologi NFC.Kata kunci  — Analisa SWOT, Mobile Ticketing, Near Field Communication (NFC).

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk menghasilkan butir - butir instrumen audit tata kelola teknologi informasi yang valid serta reliabel, dikembangkan dengan menggunakan referensi COBIT 4.1. Variabel yang digunakan adalah setiap proses pada 4 domain yang berjumlah 34. Kegiatan audit tata kelola teknologi informasi menjadi latar belakang penelitian ini, dikarenakan data audit yang diperoleh menjadi ujung tombak dari hasil penilaian team auditor dalam memetakan serta memposisikan kondisi tata kelola teknologi informasi yang sedang berlangsung. Merumuskan butir-butir instrumen audit yang perencanaannya bisa terarah, fokus serta memenuhi capaian visi, misi serta rencana strategis tata kelola teknologi pada perguruan tinggi swasta menjadi rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini. Sampel penelitian adalah sumber daya manusia pada unit kerja Puskom/MIS/ICT yang merepresentasikan serta mewakili pihak yang memiliki kebijakan serta tanggung jawab dalam setiap proses tata kelola teknologi informasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam mengembangkan butir- butir intrumen ini adalah dengan mekanisme penurunan konsep, operasional dan kisi-kisi menjadi butir-butir instrumen. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan kuesioner yang didistribusikan langsung ke responden sebanyak 18 orang. Analisa data dilakukan dengan melihat nilai koefisien alfa reliabilitas dan validitas setiap butir instrument yang telah dikembangkan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa butir instrument ini reliable karena memiliki nilai koefien alfa sebesar 0,94 terpaut 0,24 dari nilai standar yaitu 0,7. Sebanyak 80% butir-butir instrumen yang telah dikembangkan, atau sekitar 56 dari total 70 butir ini, telah tervalidasi dengan nilai koefisien lebih besar dari nilai standar ( > 0,3).Kata kunci: Audit, COBIT 4.1, Tata Kelola Teknologi Informasi, Butir-Butir Instrumen, Reliabilitas dan validitas

Abstract

Purpose: This initiative aims to transform Canti Village into a disaster-resilient coastal tourism destination by leveraging its unique local wisdom, culture, and natural resources. The objective was to empower the community, revitalize local businesses, and position Canti Village as a thriving tourism hub. Methodology: The initiative employed a participatory approach, engaging the village government, local stakeholders, and community members through workshops, focus-group discussions, and hands-on training. Key activities included assessing the village’s natural, maritime, and historical attractions; identifying dormant businesses; and providing capacity-building sessions on entrepreneurship, disaster resilience, and technology integration. Results: The initiative achieved significant milestones, including the revitalization of dormant businesses, enhancement of community knowledge on disaster resilience, and introduction of technology to existing entrepreneurs. The program also helped to position Canti Village as a potential tourism hub by developing value-added products and services. Furthermore, community members exhibited an increased readiness to serve as tourism actors, demonstrating a commitment to promoting the village’s cultural and natural heritage. Limitations: The primary challenges include limited financial resources and the need for ongoing technical support to sustain the initiative's outcomes. Additionally, infrastructural constraints and the limited digital literacy of some community members pose hurdles in achieving broader technological integration. Contributions: This initiative contributes to regional development by fostering disaster-resilient and sustainable tourism. It also serves as a model for integrating local wisdom into tourism development, promoting cultural preservation, and enhancing economic opportunities in rural communities.

Abstract

Purpose: In this research a wireless early warning system is designed and examines how to overcome communication errors or delays in information received by operators by analyzing traffic and Blocking Probability SMS (Short Massege Service) in wireless early warning systems on fluid tanks. Methodology: System testing uses the FC 37 sensor as a fluid sensor (which includes electrolytes or can conduct electric current). Results: This early warning system works well and works at a droplet volume of ± 0.5 ml. Based on the calculation of SMS Blocking Probability based on the increasing number of SMS subscribers, the Blocking Probability also increases. For the number of SMS 8448 subscribers the Blocking Probability SMS is 0.0093% and for the number of SMS 11520 subscribers the Blocking Probability SMS is 0.1719%. The Probability of Packet Loss is influenced by the Probability of BER. Probability BER calculation using the modulation used, namely 16-QAM (with a code rate of ½ and ¾) and 64-QAM (with a code rate of 2/3 and ¾) is influenced by the distance of the UE to the BTS. This distance has an effect because the BER Probability calculation uses the Walfish-Ikegami propagation model to calculate Pathloss. At a distance of UE and BTS 0.2 km Probability Packet Loss using 16-QAM ½ 2.55 x 10-14 modulation, 16-QAM ¾ 1.14 x 10-14 modulation, 64-QAM 2/3 3.05 x 10 modulation -9, and 64-QAM ¾ 2.94 x 10-9. The 16-QAM Packet Loss value is smaller than the 64-QAM because the bit values used are different, 16-QAM uses 4 bits while 64-QAM uses 6 bits.

Abstract

Purpose: This study evaluates the performance of TD-CDMA and TD-SCDMA access technologies for High Altitude Platform Stations (HAPS) to meet growing demands for high-speed access and larger bandwidth in telecommunications. Methodology/approach: A performance comparison was conducted between TD-CDMA and TD-SCDMA based on three key parameters: access speed, data transfer capacity, and power consumption levels. Analytical calculations were carried out to assess data capacity and transmitted power at varying distances from the HAPS. Results/findings: The analysis showed that TD-CDMA provides higher data capacity compared to TD-SCDMA. Additionally, transmitted power requirements increase with greater distances between HAPS and ground receivers, with a maximum transmitted power of 19.423 W observed at 50,000 meters. Conclutions: TD-CDMA offers better overall performance than TD-SCDMA for HAPS applications, providing higher data capacity while maintaining comparable power efficiency, making it a preferable choice for high-speed communication services. Limitations: The study is limited to theoretical calculations without real-world field testing. Factors such as environmental interference and atmospheric conditions were not included in the analysis. Contribution: This research provides insights into selecting efficient access methods for HAPS technology, highlighting TD-CDMA as the more suitable option to support high-speed, large-bandwidth telecommunication services with optimized resource utilization.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to develop and implement a real-time sea water level monitoring system to anticipate high wave hazards, particularly in coastal areas such as Ketapang Pier, Pesawaran Regency, Lampung Province. Research methodology: The system utilizes an IoT-based approach involving an SRF04 ultrasonic sensor for water surface measurement, an Arduino Pro Mini for data processing, a NodeMCU ESP8266 for server connectivity, a DS3231 RTC for time accuracy, and a microSD card module for offline data storage. The system is powered using a 12V adapter regulated through an LM2596 module. Results: Field testing demonstrated that the system accurately records water level distances with an average relative difference of 0.205% between Blynk App and SD Card outputs. The system classifies water levels into two status categories: normal and hazard. Conclusions: The implemented monitoring instrument functions reliably in real-time conditions and offers accurate water level readings, making it suitable for coastal hazard early warning systems. Limitations: The system is dependent on continuous power and stable internet connectivity; thus, functionality may be affected in remote or offline environments. Contribution: This research provides an affordable and accurate IoT-based water level monitoring solution that can be replicated in other coastal areas for disaster risk reduction and environmental monitoring.

Abstract

Purpose: This research focuses on the design and analysis of a helix antenna operating at 433 MHz with a 4 MHz bandwidth. This study aims to investigate the antenna's performance and functionality with a focus on reception capabilities. Methodology: The research was conducted in two stages. First, the helix antenna was simulated based on predetermined parameters. The simulation process produced values such as return loss, VSWR, impedance, and gain. Afterward, the antenna was fabricated and tested using a Vector Network Analyzer (6000A) to verify the simulated values. The key measured parameters included return loss (-19.8866 dB), VSWR (1.22547), and impedance (46.5695 Ohms). A 1000 mW telemetry radio module was used as the transmission source during field testing. Results: The helix antenna showed a directional radiation pattern with a simulated gain of 9.231 dB. Field testing confirmed the antenna's functionality as a receiver, achieving a maximum transmission distance of 2.6 km. Signal strength was measured using the Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI). However, the data quality was not optimal due to environmental obstructions. Conclusion: There was minimal shift between simulated and measured parameters. However, the antenna's real-world performance was affected by interference and non-ideal outdoor conditions. Limitations: Testing was conducted in areas with suboptimal line-of-sight conditions, which impacted signal strength and introduced interference. Contribution: This study enhances the understanding of helix antennas for receiver applications at 433 MHz and provides valuable insights into performance under practical conditions.

Abstract

Purpose: This study focuses on the design and evaluation of dipole antennas for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) operating at a frequency of 433 MHz. The aim is to develop small and lightweight antennas that do not compromise the aerodynamic characteristics of UAVs, ensuring effective communication between the UAV and the Ground Control Station (GCS). Methodology: The research employed CST software to design and simulate dipole antennas using various materials, including copper, gold, silver, aluminum, and iron. The simulation parameters were analyzed in terms of Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) values and return loss. Results: The simulation results revealed that the silver antenna material exhibited the best performance, with a VSWR value of 1.3191 and a return loss of -17.222 dB. However, during the fabrication stage, copper was chosen for the antennas, which yielded a VSWR measurement result of 1.427 and a return loss value of -15.09 dB. Subsequent testing of the dipole antenna's communication distance, when placed on a UAV, resulted in a Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) value of -70.68 dBm. This indicated that the antenna maintained a signal quality of 96% at a distance of 2.5 km. Limitation: One limitation of this study is that it primarily focuses on simulations and testing at a specific frequency (433 MHz) and material selection (copper for fabrication). The results may not be directly applicable to different frequencies or materials used in UAV antennas. Additionally, real-world conditions, such as environmental interference, could affect the performance of the antennas. Contribution:This research contributes to the development of efficient and lightweight dipole antennas for UAVs, ensuring reliable communication with GCS. The findings, particularly the choice of copper for fabrication, provide valuable insights for improving UAV communication systems without compromising flight performance.

Abstract

Desa Gebang di Kecamatan Teluk Pandan, Kabupaten Pesawaran, Lampung, dikenal dengan sabuk hijau hutan mangrovenya yang membentang di pesisir. Hasil survei menunjukkan kawasan ini berpotensi sebagai pusat edukasi, penelitian, dan ekowisata. Jika dikelola dengan baik, Gebang bisa menjadi Kampung Iklim, tempat masyarakat beradaptasi dan mitigasi perubahan iklim, sekaligus meningkatkan perekonomian dan kesejahteraan. Dalam pengabdian, tim dosen dan mahasiswa telah menanam 500 bibit mangrove, bekerjasama dengan kelompok pelestari mangrove Petengoran untuk konservasi. Perangkat pengukur permukaan air laut dan iklim mikro juga dipasang. Pemetaan menggunakan fixed wing menunjukkan luasan hutan mangrove Gebang sebesar 267,6 Ha. Selain itu, tim memasang ATS/AMF, otomatis menggantikan suplai listrik dari PLN ke Genset saat diperlukan. Pengembangan ini menegaskan potensi Desa Gebang sebagai model adaptasi dan mitigasi perubahan iklim, sambil mempromosikan keberlanjutan.
