Abstract

This research is carried out in Janti, Polanharjo, Klaten, Central Java. Most of the female population of this area work as employees in manual industry of towel. The existence of the manual industry of towel enables the female labor force living in the area to have an opportunity to be employees at the industry, as indicated in the population structure that most of the population work as employees of the industry. The aim of this reasearch is to know the characteristic of the population in acordance with age, education, working hours, and experiences. Another aim is to know wage or income, expense of income, employees rights, and the other factors. The method used in this research is survey method with the number of a given sample, where as the data analysis used frequency and cross table. The result of the research indicates that most of the respondents are 20 – 25 years of age. The educational level of the respondents at the average of 40 hours a week, they have worked effectively for 7 – 9 years. The reason is in part they want to meet their daily needs and the other part they consider their jobs are easy to do and accept. The average of their incomes ranges from Rp 20.000 – Rp 50.000 a week. The factors influencing the different of income depend on the seniority and the amount of orking hours. Most of their incomes are spent on primary needs. Their right includes getting a meal once a day and working social insurance, but they don’t get health insurance.

Abstract

The study Non Permanent Mobility and Remmitance was conducted in Tanjung Village Juwiring Subdistrict Klaten entral Java. Non Permanent Mobility in the village was due to the outcome of the development, particularly the transportation facilities permitting the public transport to reach the depth of the village. The mobility of going back and from village to town was the consequence of the increasing job opportunities in town and the decreasing job opportunities in the village, as well as the striking difference of wages between what the people got in the village and that in town. The mobility of the commuting people also influenced the development in the village an addition to reducing the population density in town because the people did not stay permanently. The study was that mobile agents had better income than those who were not. The study showed that the working term, the working hours per week, and the level of education did not have  significant influence on the income. This was due the fact that most of the commuting people worked in the marginal sectors. The remmitance that the people brought from town constituted the main contribution to the life of the migrants. The remmitance was mainly spent for primary needs. Based on the research outcome, it is advisable that the transportation facilities be improved so that the commutation becomes easier since non permanent mobility of is proved to have increased the quality of their life and social environment.

Abstract

The research is carried out in Surakarta. The goal of the study is to know: the characteristic of the homeless, the factors that cause them to he the homeless and the strategis of the homeless to survive in Surakarta. The research uses survey method, while its area is chosen purposively. The research also uses primary and secondary data. The primary data is obtained by interviewing the respondents with questionnaire, while secondary data is based on the information got from the relevant institution.The resjoondents are taken 10 % randomly from all the population. The results of the rsearch show that the homeless are 11-8 years old (96.66%), most of them are boys (91.11%). The majority of the respondents did graduate from the Lower Secondary School (55.56%); most of them come from outside of Surakarta (62%). Their primary activity is as singing beggars (62,22 %) and their daily income is about RP 10. 000 RP 14. 000 (60.00%). Their parents are uneducated people. They are only graduated from Elementary School (7S.56%).The factors that cause them to he homeless are the economic factor 77.78%, lack of family attention (13.33%) and the willingness to he independent (80.89%). Based on the  result this research, we know that the poverty has made the children become homeless. The strategis to survive are: they are thrif (40%), add their time to work (13.13%), move to other place (11.11%) and save their money (15.56%).

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk menentukan besaranpeningkatan pemahaman konsep optik dengan menggunakan teknikinkuiri terbimbing dan memaparkan perubahan perilaku belajarpeserta didik kelas VIII tahun ajaran 2011/2012. Pelaksanaanpenelitian dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 3 Mranggen Demak, subyekpenelitian terdiri dari 23 siswa. Penelitian yang dilakukan adalahpenelitian tindakan kela. Pada saat pembelajaran pada siklus Ipemahaman konsep optik pada materi pemantulan cahaya siswa yangmencapai tuntas belajar sebesar 69,56 % yang belum tuntas sebesar30,44 %, pemahaman konsep pada siklus I berkatagori cukup dengannilai rata-rata kelas 77. Perubahan perilaku belajar siswa rata-ratamasih kurang karena di bawah kriteria minimal 75 %. Hasilpenelitian pada siklus II pemahaman konsep optik materi pembiasancahaya mengalami peningkatan dengan ketuntasan belajar siswasebesar 91,30 % sedang yang belum tuntas 8,70 %. Pemahamankonsep pada siklus II rata-rata baik dengan nilai rata-rata kelas 86.Hasil penelitian pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan perubahan belajarsiswa sebesar 1,91 %. Dari perolehan perhitugan gain dapatdisimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan teknik inkuiri terbimbingefektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep, siswa lebih aktif, danketerampilan berpikir juga meningkat.Kata kunci: peningkatan kemampuan, optik, Inkuiri terbimbing
