Abstract

In 2007 the incidence of cesarean section in Indonesia was 921,000 out of 4,039,000 deliveries (22.8%) of all deliveries. The operation to give birth to a child through an incision in the abdominal wall and uterus is called a cesarean section. If a person experiences deep feelings and pressures that cause psychiatric problems which can develop over a long period of time it can cause anxiety that happens to everyone. Anxiety that is not handled seriously will have an impact and impact on the physical and psychological aspects of pregnant women, both for the mother and the fetus. The fear that is usually expressed directly is the anxiety that can be seen in every individual who will undergo surgery. The five finger relaxation technique is one of the nursing interventions that can be done. The problem that occurs is that surgery often causes fear that has an impact on anxiety, resulting in decreased uteroplacental circulation, reduced blood and oxygen flow to the uterus and decreased uterine contractions. An alternative way out of this problem that can be done is to provide education about non-pharmacological therapy, namely five finger therapy. The services provided for pregnant women who will perform a caesarean section in the Hybrid room of the Sembiring Hospital are 19 people. The results showed that the education provided went smoothly and the level of anxiety in pre-cesarean mothers decreased.

Abstract

Vitamin A supplementation is a National Program to prevent vitamin A deficiency among Indonesian children. This program provides free vitamin A capsules to every baby and toddler who visits the Posyandu and Puskesmas. Infants aged 6-11 months are given once in February or August blue vitamin A capsules with a dose of 100,000 SI, while toddlers aged 12-59 months are given twice a year red capsules with a dose of 200,000. According to WHO, it is estimated that there are 6-7 million new cases of xerophthalmia in children under five each year, approximately 10% of whom suffer from corneal damage. Among those suffering from corneal damage 60% died within one year, while among those who lived 25% 3 million. It is estimated that at any one time as many as 3 million children were blind due to vitamin A deficiency and as many as 20-40 million suffered from a milder degree of vitamin A deficiency. The difference in mortality between children who are deficient and not deficient in vitamin A is approximately 30%. Vitamin A deficiency is estimated to affect millions of children worldwide. Approximately 250,000-500,000 children in developing countries become blind every year due to vitamin A deficiency, with the highest prevalence in Southeast Asia and Africa. Due to the high prevalence of vitamin A deficiency, WHO has implemented several initiatives for vitamin A supplementation in developing countries.

Abstract

Abstract

ABSTRACT Adolescence is a critical stage of life, so this period is categorized as vulnerable and has health risks. One of the main nutritional problems that are also experienced by many adolescents is anemia. Anemia is a condition in which the number of red blood cells or the level of hemoglobin in red blood cells is below normal. Moglobin (Hb or HGB) is a protein that binds iron (FE2+) as the main component in erythrocytes with the function of transporting O2 and CO2 and giving red color to the blood. Adolescents are at high risk for anemia, especially iron. It is estimated that 25% of Indonesian adolescents are anemic. Although it is not contagious, anemia is very dangerous because it can affect the health status of the future baby. This type of research is a Pre Experiment where the form of design used is One Groups Pretest-Posttest Design. The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling where the researcher will take all the female adolescent population. shows the results of the T test obtained a value of 0.000 (P <0.05) meaning Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is an effect on the administration of fruit juice on the increase in Hb in adolescent girls. The results of 20 respondents obtained the mean value of pre-test hemoglobin levels given beetroot juice. of 10.6, standard deviation of 0.388, the results of the minimum hemoglobin level of 10 and the results of the maximum hemoglobin level of 11. And the results of the mean post-test hemoglobin level given beetroot juice of 11.3, the standard deviation of 0.387, the results of hemoglobin levels The minimum is 11 and the maximum hemoglobin level is 12.
