Abstract

Roll Forming Machine adalah produk teknis yang mengintegrasikan teknologi mekanik. Mesin ini menggunakan teknologi canggih dan sangat meningkatkan efisiensi produk. Alat ini dapat secara otomatis melokalisasi, menjepit, menyesuaikan, mengeroll, mengangkut hingga menyelesaikan pekerjaan. Mode otomatis dari jalur ini sangat menghemat biaya pembuatan, dan mesin ini menggunakan metode bending Roll Forming. Metode ini adalah proses bending yang menggunakan Up Roller dan Driven Roller yang berputar menggulirkan plat sehingga terbentuklah profil dan kelengkungan benda kerja. Dari metode Roll Forming akan didapatkan hasil dengan radius yang masih cukup besar. Standar radius pada alat ini yaitu dengan ukuran 9000mm.Jika ingin memperkecil ukuran radius maka diperlukan proses pengulangan bending (Rebending). Dengan proses Rebending maka diperlukan lagi waktu untuk pengecilan ukuran radius yang diinginkan.Cepat lambatnya proses Rebending tergantung dari bebrapa langkah yang akan dilakukan dalam menurunkan radius yang diinginkan.dengan variasi jarak penurunan up roller 3mm dan 4mm tentu akan membuat waktu pengerjaan yang berbeda. Dari variasi jarak penurunan up roll tersebut menghasilkan kurva perbandingan pengerjaan waktu total. Jarak penurunan up roller 3mm meghasilkan waktu 16,01 menit sedangkan jarak penurunan up roller 4mm lebih cepat yaitu 13,59 menit.

Abstract

PT. Pertamina (Persero) Refinery Unit III (RU III) is one of the Refinery Unit Pertamina that it main activity is process crude oil and intermediate product (Alkylfeed, HSDC,slop oil, LOMC, Long residue, Raw PP) into finished product. One of the important tools is Centrifugal Compressor (CENTAX CC 700 MX 3HP). The problem in the compressor is temperature of the fluida is increase but it pressure is decrease.To solve this problem, sandblasting and coating is used in inspection stage. The result from the inspection was compressor had a leak because the O ring was not functioning optimally and the surface was eroded To overcome this matter, coating is done to prevent the compressor surface from corrosion and replacing the O ring according to size.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is one of UVW’s 6 Refinery Units that the main business is process crude oil and intermediate product (Alkylfeed, HSDC, slop oil, LOMC, Long residue, Raw PP) become finish product. One of the important equipments is pump that the example type is AVAK P-14 Centrifugal pump which is located in the Oil Pump House section. The problem is that there is a bend in the shaft due to lack lubrication on the bearing. Because of that, the pump is difficult to rotate by the motor that it occur stuck. The method solve the problem by using visual inspection and measuring dimension. The result is that pump has a bend in the shaft due to lack of lubrication in the bearing so heat due to friction between the shaft and the bearing which continue to rotate at high speed. In overcoming this problem, re-measurement dimension of pump and carried out suitable handling of the damaged pump components.

Abstract

Radial drilling machine is a machine that functions to make holes, enlarge holes, smooth the surface of holes and others. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of variations in the main spindle speed and to determine the cutting parameters of drilling with variations in the main spindle rotation of the machine 250, 320, and 400 rpm. The drill bits used in this study are HSS (High Speed Steel) chisels with a size of 16 mm and the material used is ASTM A36 steel. The method used to determine the level of tool wear is to calculate the reduction in tool weight every 8 times drilling at each speed variation, namely 250, 320, and 400 rpm. The greatest tool wear occurs at the highest engine rpm speed at 400 rpm with a tool wear value of 0.07 grams and the lowest wear at 250 rpm with a wear value of 0.02 grams. The depth of cut is 8 mm. The cutting speed at 250 rpm got a value of 0.01256 m/min, the cutting speed at 320 rpm got a value of 0.0160768 m/min and at 400 rpm the value was 0.020096 m/min. The cutting time at 250 rpm was 0.16mm/minute, the cutting time at 320 rpm was 0.125 mm/minute, the cutting time at 400 rpm was 0.1mm/minute. The speed of producing fury at a speed of 250 rpm obtained a value of 10.048 cm3/minute, at a speed of 320 rpm a value of 12.861 cm3/minute was obtained, and at a speed of 400 rpm a value of 16.076 cm3/minute was obtained.

Abstract

A vertical raw mill is one of the main tools in cement production, which functions as a material grinder measuring from 5-7 cm to 90 microns. The tool also performs in the drying process of raw materials to reduce the water content before entering the suspension preheater section. The maintenance process on the vertical raw mill is carried out while the machines are operating. The maintenance is used to prevent and predict the production machine. The method is inspection using an infrared thermometer and vibrascanner. Test results show that the vertical raw mill can operate normally.
