Abstract

Factors that cause energy loss in a piping system is something that is interesting and important to be studied moredeeply. 90° Elbow is a common connection in piping systems. Elbow 90° contributes to the incidence of head loss. Thisresearch will try to identify the influence of curvature (R/d) to the head lossThis study uses test model 90 ° elbows connection with the variation of the radius of curvature of the connectionelbow 90 ° to the pipe diameter (R / d) of 4.199 and 6.299. Flow rates are varied with Q1 = 0.000312345986 m3/s and Q2 =0.000265776 m3/s.The experimental results show that the R/d = 6.299 have a greater head loss rather than the R/d = 4.199. Strikingdifferences in the distribution of pressure coefficient between the radius of inner and outer radius. favorable pressuregradient phenomena occur on the inner radius. Events adverse pressure gradient at the outer radius of elbow allegedlycontributing to the loss of energy / head loss at the elbow 90 °.

Abstract

The rapid development of science and technology to inspire people to create something useful for human life itself. One example is the use of a cylindrical body which can be found on the heat exchanger (heat exchanger) is on shell and tube, chimney, and support offshore platforms. In this case, to obtain an optimum value as well as building construction and minimal ideal would be a mistake, it is necessary to know the characteristics of flow through the body. One of the characteristics of the flow is fluid flow through the cylinder body. Fluid passing through a cylindrical body will result in drag force. Research on the external flow across a body has done much to reduce the drag force. One was to replace the cylinder body with an elliptical geometry. In the present study will be conducted using the CFD numerical model with a test that is circular and elliptical cylinders. In the test model ellipse major and minor diameter ratio is varied (50mm/100mm, 50mm/120mm, 50mm/150mm, 50mm/180mm). In each test model will be calculated the value of the coefficient of drag is happening. The results of the simulations is the use of an elliptical body geometry can reduce the value of the coefficient of drag (CD) of 0.2519 on the minor and major diameter ratio (a/b = 50mm/150mm) than the circular cylinder with a drag coefficient (CD) of 0.5485 and the ratio of diameter minor and major of the most effective to reduce the coefficient of drag on the ellipse is (a/b = 50mm/150mm) than the minor and major diameter ratio (a/b = 50mm/100mm), (a/b = 50mm/120mm), (a/b =50mm/180mm).

Abstract

Pelayanan yang prima merupakan aspek penting penentu keberhasilan komersial, terutama pada organisasi yang bergerak dalam bidang jasa. Pelayanan yang prima menjadi ujung tombak dalam menangkap peluang dan memahami konsumen atau klien yang akan menggunakan jasa yang ditawarkan. Untuk menghasilkan lulusan yang berkualitas salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi adalah pelayanan yang diterapkan dalam lingkungan fakultas dalam melayani pelanggan dimana dalam hal ini pelanggan tersebut adalah mahasiswa. Kepuasan terhadap layanan akademik merupakan hal yang perlu diperhatikan demi mencapai layanan yang berkulaitas yang menjamin kepuasan mahasiswa sebagai stakeholder utama dalam organisasi jasa pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk (1) mengetahui tingkat kepuasan mahasiswa terhadap kualitas layanan akademik Fakultas Teknik Universitas Bengkulu dan (2) kualitas layanan akademik Fakultas Teknik Universitas Bengkulu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survey analitik, yang menggambarkan keadaan melalui analisa data primer dan data sekunder, dan data yang telah terkumpul dalam bentuk angka-angka kemudian akan dihitung menggunakan aplikasi Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS), dan hasil dari analisa data, kemudian diuraikan secara diskripsi untuk mengetahui sejauh mana tingkat kepuasan mahasiswa terhadap kinerja pelayanan akademik di lingkungan FT UNIB.

Abstract

This research is about the roundness characteristics of the turning process parameters on St 42 material using the Taguchi and ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) methods. A cylindrical product requires a good roundness value to ensure its quality. One of the factors that determine the quality of these products is the machining process parameters. In this study, optimization of the turning process parameters using the Taguchi and ANOVA methods was carried out on the roundness characteristics of the workpiece. The workpiece used is Steel St 42. The lathe used is the Krisbow Precision Gear Head Machine 410X1000MM. After data analysis using the Taguchi method, the parameters with the optimum roundness value of 7.385 µm were 510 rpm spindle rotation, 1mm depth of cut, and coolant opening valve. The results of the ANOVA analysis show the percent contribution of each parameter, respectively, as follows: spindle rotation 26.97%, depth of cut 24.82%, and coolant 38.63%.

Abstract

The study was conducted to obtain information about the characteristics of fluid flow that touches the surface of the bluff body.  Bluff body in the form of circular and elliptical cylinders  and brought near a wall. Phenomenon found is used to predict the aerodynamic loads on the bluff body and leads to a drag reduction efforts.Elliptic cylinder and circular cylinder are arranged in tandem position with longitudinal distance (L/D = 1.5) and gap distance variation (G/D) between cylinders and  flat wall are 0.067, 0.133, 0.2, 0.267. Fluid flow characteristics investigated experimentally on open loop wind tunnel. The experimental results are used to explain flow interaction phenomenoum which is resulted coefficient pressure distribution (Cp) on the cylinder, on the flat wall and velocity distribution on the upstream and downstream. The placement of the elliptic cylinder at G/D = 0.267 exhibits the lowest drag. The whole research was done on the Reynolds number 53574 based on circular cylinder diameter. Abstract

Virus Corona atau Covid-19 pertama kali ditemukan di Wuhan, China pada akhir 2019 lalu. Penyebaran virus yang belum ditemukan penawarnya itu hingga kini tak terkendali. Provinsi Bengkulu hingga akhir bulan Maret 2020, setelah ditemukannya 1 kasus Pasien Dalam Pengawasan (PDP) maka Provinsi Bengkulu ditetapkan sebagai Zona Merah hingga saat ini. Pusat pelayanan kesehatan pratama ini menjadi pusat pemberian layanan kesehatan yang bukan menjadi prioritas penanganan Covid-19. Hal ini dikarenakan Rumah Sakit Umum (RSU) di Provinsi Bengkulu menjadi pusat utama penanganan Covid-19, maka Pusat Pelayananan Kesehatan di Kota Bengkulu menjadi membludak untuk menghindari pelayanan di RSU Kota Bengkulu. Kegiatan PPM ini merupakan penerapan Ipteks dalam pembuatan wastafel portable guna memudahkan penggunaan di wastafel berbagai tempat, dan wastafel portable dirancang dengan sistem otomatis keran air menggunakan kontrol pedal kaki, dimaksudkan untuk mengurangi kontak dari tangan ke tangan pengguna saat menghidupkan keran air, dengan demikian lebih higienis dalam penggunaannya dan mencegah penyebaran Covid-19 di Pusat Pelayanan Kesehatan.

Abstract

COVID-19 sudah melanda dunia sejak akhir tahun 2019. Jumlah kasus positif di berbagai negara terus meningkat dari waktu ke waktu dengan angka kematian yang tinggi. Pemerintah Indonesia kemudian mencoba menekan penyebaran COVID-19 dengan memberlakukan kebijakan bekerja dari rumah (WFH). Universitas Bengkulu menetapkan peraturan bahwa proses belajar mengajar dilakukan secara online dan proses layanan kemahasiswaan pun juga dibatasi. Fakultas Teknik merupakan salah satu fakultas yang juga memberlakukan sistem pelayanan secara online bagi mahasiswa melalui komunikasi perpesanan (WhatsApp) kepada petugas fakultas yang yang bertugas. Sistem layanan online seperti ini memiliki keandalan yang rendah karena terbatas komunikasi dan gerak.Oleh karena itu dikembangkan suatu sistem yang menangani layanan kemahasiswaan Fakultas Teknik Universitas Bengkulu secara online menggunakan aplikasi berbasis web untuk layanan surat mahasiswa di bidang akademik dan kemahasiswaan. Melalui aplikasi ini layanan terhadap mahasiswa berlangsung secara normal dan efisien. Format surat menjadi konsisten dan tidak akan terdapat kesalahan penulisan (typo) yang umum terjadi jika proses pengetikan surat dilakukan secara manual. Melalui aplikasi ini diharapkan dapat mendukung pencegahan penyebaran wabah penyakit corona virus disease (Covid-19).

Abstract

Currently the need for electrical energy is increasing both for industrial and household needs, but until now a lot of electrical energy has been replaced by non-renewable resources (coal), which will run out if it continues to be used. Tes Hydroelectric Power Plant is one of the electrical energy generators that can be renewable. Among the several generating units in Tes Hydroelectric Power Plant, Tes’s hydroelectric power plant unit 7 is the most recent, having been inaugurated for the first time in 2014. The power potential that can be projected from this hydroelectric power plant unit 7 still needs to be looked at further. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the potential for electric power from the Tes’s hydroelectric power plant unit 7 from 01 July 2022 to 03 July 2022.          In making observations about the analysis of the power potential at the Tes’s hydroelectric power plant unit 7, several methods are used. Such as observation of data for 3 days of operation from 01 July 2022 to 03 July 2022, literature study and several interview methods with field consultants. The value of the air discharge obtained from the use of air volume per day at the Tes’s hydroelectric power plant unit 7. On three days of observation, the Tes’s hydroelectric power plant unit 7 were able to produce the highest electrical energy on 03 July 2022, namely 100,722 kWh and the lowest was 99,808 kWh on 02 July 2022. In three days, the electric power that paid for the Tes’s hydroelectric power plant unit 7 reached 4173, 40 kW. The Tes’s hydroelectric power plant unit 7 can generate a daily net income of Rp. 105,689,588, - with a perkWh price of Rp. 1300, - and reduced by the basic cost of Rp. 244.81, -, from the sale of electrical energy.

Abstract

Proses pelaksanaan kegiatan pembelajaran di tahun ajaran 2020 telah mengalami perubahan, sejak terjadinya Pandemi Covid-19 yang telah masuk ke Indonesia sejak Bulan Maret 2020. Perubahan model pembelajaran yang terjadi berupa kegiatan pembelajaran tatap muka menjadi model pembelajaran daring (dalam jaringan), guna mencegah penyebaran Covid-19. Universitas Bengkulu dalam kegiatan pembelajaran memiliki ruang kuliah resource sharing yang memiliki perutuntukkan ruangan dan kapasitas yang berbeda-beda, sehingga pada kondisi new normal saat ini diperlukan adanya penataan penggunaan, dan sirkulasi ruangan yang menerapkan protokol Covid-19, agar proses kegiatan pembelajaraan dapat dilakukan tanpa mengurangi efektivitas dan tidak menjadi sarana penyebaran Covid-19. Penelitian dilakukan berupa; (1) mengimplementasikan Algoritma Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) pada optimasi distribusi ruang pembelajaran; (2) melakukan analisis distribusi dan sirkulasi ruang pembelajaran dengan penerapan protokol Covid-19. Adapun hasil distribusi penggunaan resource sharing ruang perkuliahan pada penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi contoh penerapan Protokol Covid di kondisi new normal di lingkungan institusi pendidikan Perguruan Tinggi dan dapat menjadi kebijakan khususnya di Universitas Bengkulu tentang kebutuhan sarana prasarana penunjang kegiatan pembelajaran
