Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana Strategi Nafkah (Livelihood) Keluarga Nelayan pada Masa Paceklik Di Sumpang Binangae Kabupaten Barru. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Fokus penelitian adalah bagaimana strategi nafkah (livelihood) keluarga nelayan pada masa paceklik. Penentuan informan penelitian adalah dengan Purposive Sampling. Informan penelitian adalah nelayan dan keluarga nelayan. Data berasal dari data primer dan sekunder yang dianalisis secara statistic deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Pola nafkah ganda keluarga nelayan masa paceklik yang ada di Sumpang Binangae Kebupaten Barru adalah memberdayakan istri untuk turut menjadi pekerja lepas atau berjual sayur mayur (2) Sumber nafkah keluarga nelayan pada masa paceklik di Sumpang Binangae Kebupaten Barru adalah menjual ikan hasil tangkapan nelayan dari daerah lain, menebang kayu, bertai, menggarap sawah, menjual kelapa, dan bekerja serabutan (3) Jaringan sosial keluarga nelayan pada masa paceklik di Sumpang Binangae Kebupaten Barru terbentuk dari system kepercayaan yang telah berlangsung sejak lama dalam bentuk saling membantu dalam memenuhi kebutuhan.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to find out how the Assuro Maca or Mabbaca Baca tradition is carried out by the Bugis-Makassar tribe located in the Lau area, Maros Regency, South Sulawesi which is often considered by outsiders as idolatrous because of its form of praying for the dead.  has been carried out by the Bugis-Makassar Tribe community which has been carried out for generations as an expression of gratitude for being reunited with the holy month of Ramadan and also aims to pray for the ancestors who have died.  several ways such as at the stage of Observation, Interview, Qualitative data collection, Data Analysis to Data Presentation by Researchers which of course is accompanied by several other journal references related to this research. Keywords: Tradition, Bugis-Makassar, Mabbaca-baca

Abstract

This research aims to find out: (1) the procession of implementing mappacci in the Bugis tribe community, Pinrang Regency. (2) the symbolic meaning of the equipment used in the mappacci procession in the Bugis tribe community, Pinrang Regency. To achieve this goal, researchers used data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The data obtained from the research results were processed using qualitative analysis with a phenomenological approach to the Mappacci implementation procession in the Bugis Tribe community in Pinrang Regency and the symbolic meaning of the equipment used during the Mappacci implementation procession in the Bugis Tribe community in Pinrang Regency. Based on the results of this research, it shows that, (1) There are three stages in the process of implementing mappacci in the Bugis community of Pinrang Regency, the first stage is dio majeng and assa' demmeang, the second stage is barasanji and the last stage is mappacci. (2) There are nine pieces of equipment used during the mappacci procession in the Bugis community of Pinrang Regency, the first piece of equipment is henna leaves which symbolize purity, the second piece of equipment is a pillow which symbolizes comfort, the third piece of equipment is a silk sarong which symbolizes moral values, the fourth piece of equipment is banana leaves which symbolize continuity, the fifth equipment is rice which symbolizes development, the sixth equipment is candles which symbolize wisdom, the seventh equipment is jackfruit leaves which symbolize straightness, the eighth equipment is a pacci container which symbolizes unity and the last equipment is brown sugar and coconut which symbolize loyalty

Abstract

This research explores the importance of an inclusive society based on cultural values and social norms in the era of globalization. In an inclusive culture, everyone is recognized, regardless of background or identity, with equal opportunities to participate and contribute. This creates an equitable environment, enriches cultural diversity, and strengthens the nation's collective identity. A.R Radcliffe Brown's functional, structuraltheory is used to see culture as an adaptive mechanism for orderly social life. This research is descriptive and qualitative in nature, using observation, interviews, anddocumentation methods. Source triangulation is used to ensure the validity of the data.Data were analyzed in the context of inclusive society theory based on cultural values andsocial norms. The research results in Lakawali Village, East Luwu Regency, show thatcultural values and social norms encourage acceptance of diversity, openness, andtolerance in society and function as protection against the digital era.Keywords :Inclusive Society, Cultural Values, Social Norms
