Abstract

This article aims to reveal the hidden aspects behind the ambiguity of the positions of Gelanggang, Asrul Sani, and the narrator of “Sahabat Saya Cordiaz”. This study uses qualitative data collection methods. The researcher uses the Bourdieu’s field construction method and the Social Network Visualizer (SocNetV) application to visualize the structure. The results of this study indicate that there is a similar doxa of Gelanggang and Pujangga Baru behind the ambiguity of Gelanggang’s position; behind the ambiguity of Asrul Sani's position lies the multiple-role relation and distance from absolutes that fits the doxa of Gelanggang; and the ambiguity of the narrator's position is homologous to the ambiguity of Gelanggang’s position and Asrul Sani's position. The alignment between Gelanggang, Asrul Sani, and “Sahabat Saya Cordiaz” shows that the objective structure has a mutual relationship with the author's subjective structure which is manifested through his literary works.

Abstract

This study focuses on the problem of the relationship between the KUK/Salihara structure and the smokehouse structure in Ayu Utami's novel Saman. This study aims to find the relationship between the dominant position of KUK/Salihara and its structure and to describe the structural homology between KUK/Salihara and the Smokehouse in Saman. This study uses qualitative data collection methods. The researcher used Bourdieu's arena construction method and the Social Network Visualizer (SocNetV) application to visualize the structure. In addition, researchers also use SocNetV's “centrality analysis” feature to determine the centrality of an agent. The results of this study are: 1) KUK/Salihara occupies a dominant position in the modern Indonesian literary field because of the high level of cultural capital, social capital, and economic capital. The acquisition of these capitals is closely related to the role of KUK/Salihara as a mediator that connects the literary field with other cultural fields, making it easier for them to exchange capital and monopolize legitimacy; 2) structural homology between KUK/Salihara and Saman shows that: a) both carry the same doxa, namely "freedom”; b) the dominant position and central role of Wisanggeni in the structure of the Lubukrantau Smokehouse association actually represents the position and role of GM rather than the position and role of Ayu Utami in the KUK/Salihara structure; and c) other problems were found regarding the process of writing Saman's novel that needed further study.Penelitian ini menyoroti persoalan kaitan antara struktur KUK/Salihara dengan struktur perkumpulan di dalam novel Saman karya Ayu Utami. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan kaitan antara posisi dominan KUK/Salihara dengan strukturnya dan untuk mendeskripsikan homologi struktural antara KUK/Salihara dengan perkumpulan rumah asap dalam Saman. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pemerolehan data kualitatif. Peneliti menggunakan metode konstruksi arena Bourdieu dengan bantuan aplikasi Social Network Visualizer (SocNetV) untuk memvisualkan struktur. Selain itu, peneliti juga menggunakan fitur “centrality analysis” SocNetV untuk mengetahui sentralitas suatu agen. Hasil penelitian ini, yakni: 1) KUK/Salihara menempati posisi dominan di arena sastra Indonesia modern karena tingginya modal kultural, modal sosial, dan modal ekonomi. Pemerolehan modal-modal tersebut berkaitan erat dengan peran KUK/Salihara sebagai mediator yang menghubungkan arena sastra dengan arena kultural yang lain sehingga memudahkannya untuk melakukan pertukaran modal dan monopoli legitimasi; 2) homologi struktural antara KUK/Salihara dengan novel Saman karya Ayu Utami menunjukkan bahwa: a) keduanya mengusung doksa yang sama, yaitu “kebebasan”; b) posisi dominan dan peran sentral Wisanggeni dalam struktur perkumpulan rumah asap Lubukrantau justru merepresentasikan posisi dan peran GM daripada posisi dan peran Ayu Utami dalam struktur KUK/Salihara; dan c) ditemukannya persoalan lain mengenai proses penulisan novel Saman yang perlu dikaji lebih lanjut.

Abstract

Through this research, the researcher tries to identify the contents of Listening skills in the Arabic textbook “Durusu al-lughah al-Arabiyah,” which applies 2013 curriculum (KMA 183, 2019) for first-grade students of Islamic senior high schools, printed in 2020. This study was conducted by qualitative research and employed the “descriptive analysis technique.” The population of this study is the Arabic textbook “Durusu al-lughah al-Arabiyah,” which applies the 2013 curriculum for first-grade students of Islamic senior high schools. The data collection procedures include: making a checklist, analyzing the textbook content, coding, tabulating data, and concluding. The result of the research found that both listening skills material in the textbook “Durusu al-lughah al-Arabiyah” which applies the 2013 curriculum for first-grade students of Islamic senior high schools, is good material according to Abd al-Rahman ibn Ibrahim al-Fauzan in his book “Idla’at li Mu’alimi al-lughah al-Arabiyah li Ghairi Nathiqin Biha.” However, the Content Listening subject in the textbook “Durusu al-lughah al-Arabiyah” are relevant to the curriculum of 2013 (KMA 183, 2019) in Arabic subject for the first class in the Islamic senior high school.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the instructional models implemented in the teaching of Arabic at Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Sejahtera Pare, Kediri, East Java. The research employs a qualitative approach using descriptive analysis. Data were collected through documentation, observation, and interviews, sourced from both primary and secondary data. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that three primary instructional models are commonly used in the Arabic language teaching process at MA Sejahtera: (1) the PAIKEM model, which aims to create an active, creative, and enjoyable learning environment to enhance students' motivation and engagement; (2) the game-based learning model, which serves as an interactive and enjoyable strategy to increase student participation and contextual vocabulary comprehension in Arabic; and (3) the social interaction model, which emphasizes the development of a language-rich environment (bi’ah lughawiyah) and strengthens speaking and listening skills through peer and teacher-student interactions.
