Abstract

This work points to illustrate the implementation of the role of parents with Javanese cultural backgrounds to support learning in children with intellectual disabilities during the Covid-19 pandemic. This is a qualitative approach using the case study method. There are 3 research subjects, namely one mentally retarded child and one father, and one mother who has a mentally retarded child. Subject selection by purposive sampling. The research placement is in Al Hikmah Islamic Elementary School, which is located in Kajar Gadingwatu Hamlet, Menganti District, Gresik Regency. Gather information through interview techniques and documentation. This study produces data that parents of mentally retarded children have several roles, namely as motivators, educators, facilitators, directors, and supervisors.

Abstract

This article aims to (1) map the evaluation models of guidance and counseling plans that counselors have implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic; (2) describe the fundamental concepts of evaluation models that are considered efficient and effective to be applied by counselors during the COVID-19 pandemic; (3) explain the practical procedures for an effective and efficient evaluation model to be applied by counselors during the COVID-19 pandemic. This article uses a literature study method to analyze the Miles & Huberman model on the latest relevant articles. It is hoped that the results will be by the article’s purpose. The results of the analysis of this article show that the guidance and counseling evaluation models used by counselors during the pandemic are four examples of the CIPP evaluation program, one evaluation model of the gap model, one evaluation model based on technology media, and six formative-summative evaluation models. Of the several evaluation models, there are two evaluation models that researchers recommend for counselors to use during the pandemic, namely the CIPP and gap evaluation models.

Abstract

Tiktok is one of the most popular short video platforms today and many active users spend a lot of time watching Tiktok. This condition makes the phenomenon of Tiktok addiction widespread. So this article aims to investigate the level of Tiktok addiction based on male and female gender in junior high school students in Menganti Sub-District, Gresik District. This research approach is descriptive comparative. The population of this study includes all eighth grade students in Menganti, Gresik. While the sample is 344 grade VIII students in Menganti, Gresik, in detail there are 179 male students and 165 female students. The sample selection technique used random sampling at 4 schools, namely SMP Negeri 18 Gresik, SMP Negeri 29 Gresik, SMP NU Bahrul Ulum, and SMP Sunan Giri Menganti. Data collection techniques used closed questionnaires and documentation. The instrument used is a Tiktok Addiction Scale questionnaire and a matched list. The data were analyzed using the Mann Whitney non-parametric technique using SPSS. The findings of the study showed that there were differences in the level of addiction in male and female students in grade VIII in Menganti, Gresik. Tiktok addiction in male students is in the low category, while the level of Tiktok addiction for female students is in the medium category.
