Abstract

Character is an important thing that must be demonstrated in the learning process. Characters that are embodied in learning must be adapted to the curriculum used. The profile of Pancasila Student is an expected character to be demonstrated in the implementation of Merdeka Curriculum. This study aims to look at the implementation of project-based learning in driving schools, especially in the integration of social studies material that can be carried out in driving schools. In addition, it also aims to look at the driving and inhibiting factors in integrating social studies material into project-based learning. This research is qualitative research that used observation, documentation, and interviews as the data collection techniques. The study results indicate that the integration of social studies learning had not been maximized due to the lack of school readiness. The teachers and project teams are unfamiliar with project-based learning. Project-based learning is only focused on the produced product or the work without paying attention to the process in each project flow. The driving factor for integrating social studies learning is the principal's ability as the learning leader. The principal can also organize teachers and project teams to integrate social studies learning appropriately and map schools' readiness to carry out project learning. The inhibiting factor in integrating social studies material is the teacher's lack of understanding in integrating social studies learning, so the prioritized themes in this subject cannot be developed optimally.

Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs play a strategic role in ensuring that companies contribute not only to economic growth but also to social development, particularly in the education sector. One of the challenges faced by vocational schools is the gap between graduates’ competencies and industry needs, which often results from limited facilities, weak industry linkages, and curricula that are not fully aligned with professional demands. To address this issue, the Djarum Foundation implements an education-oriented CSR program in collaboration with SMK PGRI 2 Kudus and industry partners through the Teaching Factory model. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Teaching Factory program at SMK PGRI 2 Kudus and to examine the collaboration patterns among the school, the Djarum Foundation, and industry partners in enhancing the quality of vocational education. This study employs a descriptive, qualitative approach, utilizing observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews. Interview guidelines focus on collaboration mechanisms among stakeholders, the implementation model of the Teaching Factory program in the culinary department, the curriculum framework applied, and the availability of learning facilities and infrastructure. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the CSR collaboration between the Djarum Foundation and SMK PGRI 2 Kudus has a significant positive impact on producing competent and competitive graduates. CSR contributions include the construction of Teaching Factory facilities, teacher capacity building, provision of practical equipment and infrastructure, and reinforcement of an industry-based curriculum. The synergy among the school, industry, and the Djarum Foundation has been well established, enabling students to gain hands-on experience and better prepare them for the professional work environment. The study implies that education-focused CSR programs can serve as an effective strategy for strengthening vocational education and human resource development. It also suggests that other corporations should emulate the Djarum Foundation’s model to support sustainable partnerships between the education and industry sectors

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of Ke-NU-an learning based on moral values at MTs NU 02 Gringsing, Batang Regency, as a model of character education grounded in the values of Ahlussunnah wal Jama’ah (Aswaja). The background of this research is the growing moral crisis among students, which necessitates educational approaches that emphasize value internalization and character formation. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, this field research collected data through interviews, participant observation, and documentation involving teachers, students, and school administrators. The findings reveal that Ke-NU-an learning has been systematically integrated into both instructional and non-instructional activities, including religious habituation programs, extracurricular activities, and daily school culture. The implementation of Aswaja values such as moderation, tolerance, balance, and responsibility contributes significantly to the development of students’ religious character, discipline, social awareness, and appreciation of local culture. Furthermore, the role of teachers as moral role models and the institutional support provided by the school strengthen the effectiveness of character education. This study concludes that Ke-NU-an learning grounded in moral values functions not only as religious instruction but also as a strategic framework for character education in Islamic secondary schools under the auspices of Nahdlatul Ulama.
