Abstract

The campus website is the face of an institution that can be accessed online by everyone because the website is a central information service. When individuals such as potential students, the wider public, and those within the institution itself require information about the campus, they will primarily turn to the website as their main source. However, not all campus websites have a perfect role as information and service centers. The quality of a campus website can be seen from the perception and feedback of its users. Therefore, an assessment of online media usage, especially websites, is essential at all times to understand user perceptions of the ongoing website development. This research is intended to evaluate the usability of the website of Islamic University 45 Bekasi to obtain the best recommendations for improvement. In addition to the evaluation, this research also compares two methods of website usability evaluation. The methods to be used are usability testing and the System Usability Scale. Both methods are conducted simultaneously to obtain qualitative and quantitative data. This research yields recommendations for areas that need improvement or enhancement and also provides a comparison of the two methods used as references for usability evaluation. The research results reveal that with the first method, there is a significantly higher number of positive perceptions than negative ones, although there are many suggestions for improvement. On the other hand, when using the second method, the campus website exhibits the second least favorable usability score among a total of eleven levels.

Abstract

The internet service provider, CV. Sekarjaya Computindo, is currently still using a manual monitoring system. This manual monitoring system relies on the Windows command prompt. As a result, detecting network issues takes longer because the administrator must manually search for and ping IP addresses within the network or wait for user reports when network problems occur. In this study, a Mikrotik network monitoring system using The Dude was developed for CV. Sekarjaya Computindo to assist the administrator in monitoring network devices more efficiently, enabling faster identification and resolution of network disruptions. The results of the study show that The Dude monitoring system can quickly monitor the status of network devices when they are up or down due to damage or network disturbances. These statuses are displayed on The Dude’s network maps and real-time notifications are sent via Telegram.

The training to be provided will focus on creating scientificarticles using supportive software to enhance the competence of teachers in publishing their scientific articles.By understanding how to create scientific articles, high school teachers can improve their academic abilities, serve as positive examples for students, provide resources, and contribute to research and educationaldevelopment. This can help improve the quality of education and produce competent and skilled students. Theproposed solution is to organize training on the utilization of supportive software in scientific article creation. This training will provide understanding and skills in using software such as Mendeley and ChatGPT. Mendeleyis a reference management software that assists in collecting, managing, and storing references for scientificarticles. Additionally, Mendeley helps organize references according to various writing styles such as APA,MLA, Chicago, Vancouver, and IEEE. Both of these software options can be chosen based on the needs and preferences of the writer. Theresults of this training, based on a survey using an online mentimeter, showed that it was very useful and theparticipants wanted to continue this training.
