Abstract

Background: Hyperlipidemia is a lipid disorder characterized by increased total serum cholesterol, LDL (Low-Density Lipoprotein), triglycerides, and a decrease in HDL levels. Objective: This research aims to identify the effectiveness of Moringa oleifera leaf extract on lipid profile levels (total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, and triglycerides) in hyperlipidemic patients. Method: The research design of a Systematic Literature Review was done by identifying, evaluating, and interpreting all available relevant research, especially on problem formulation. The journal search process was done by screening, assessing journal quality, analysis, and conclusions. Results: That process obtained 25 national and international journals. Then, the writer's analysis concluded that Moringa oleifera leaf extract was more effective in increasing HDL levels with a yield of 34% and lowering LDL levels with a journal yield of 24%. On the other hand, giving Moringa oleifera leaf extract was less effective in reducing total cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood by a 21% yield percentage. Conclusion - The intervention effectiveness of Moringa oleifera leaf extract is effective in increasing HDL serum (High-Density Lipoprotein) levels and decreasing LDL serum (Low-Density Lipoprotein) levels in hyperlipidemic patients. Recommendation: The author recommends other researchers examine the effectiveness of giving moringa leaf extract in liquid dosage forms and Moringa leaf extract in powder or powder with doses of moringa leaf extract of 300mg/kg-BW and 700 mg/kg-BW for more than 14 days

Abstract

Background: As many as 90% of Indonesian women have the potential to experience vaginal discharge because of Indonesia's tropical climate. Hot and humid weather causes mold to easily develop and cause vaginal discharge in women. For this reason, there needs to be an innovation that can be used as one of the efforts to overcome vaginal discharge in general. The purpose of this study is to prove the potential of turmeric-based vaginal soap that is able to overcome vaginal discharge. Subjects and Method: This was a quasi experiment study. The study was conducted at the Darussholah II Islamic Boarding School, North Pontianak, Indonesia from November to December 2023. The sample was divided into 3 groups: (1) , namely groups 1, 2 and 3 with 5%, 10%, and 15% turmeric liquid soap interventions. The dependent variables studied were vaginal discharge and vaginal ph, and the independent variable was Vaginal Turmeric Soap. The analysis technique uses Wilcoxon bivariate analysis. Results: The average value of 5% soap whiteness reduction was 0.96+0.20, 10% was 0.88+0.33 and 15% was 0.92+0.27 with a p value of 0.585. The average value of the pH reduction of 5% soap was 0.60 + 0.57, 10% soap was 0.52 + 0.65, and 15% soap was 0.48 + 0.65 with a p value of 0.904. At a dose of 5%, the reduction in vaginal discharge and pH was the highest compared to other groups. And the results of the analysis showed that the administration of 5%, 10%, and 15% doses did not have a significant difference in changes in vaginal discharge and pH. Conclusion: A 5% dose of turmeric-based vaginal soap was more effective at treating vaginal discharge and lowering vaginal pH, compared to other groups in this study. It is hoped that young women will be more selective in choosing soap in maintaining pH and vaginal discharge, especially if used for a long period of time.

Abstract

Abstract

The cause of death of approximately 71% (36 million) people per year is due to non-communicable diseases. The 2018 Riskesdas data shows an increase in key NCD indicators. The significant increase in NCDs is expected to add to the burden on both the public and the government in healthcare financing. According to Government Regulation No. 71 of 2015, the prevention and control of NCDs are to be carried out through community health efforts and individual health efforts. The prevention and control of NCDs in the community are implemented through the activities of the NCD Posbindu. This research analyzes the factors affecting the performance of NCD Posbindu. The research method used is a Cross-Sectional approach with a quantitative method. The population consists of 486 NCD Posbindu, and the research sample uses Total Sampling, consisting of 29 NCD Posbindu. Data analysis includes univariate, bivariate (Spearman Rank), and multivariate (Multiple Linear Regression). The research results show that the majority of NCD Posbindu's performance falls into the "good" category, with 17 (58.62%), while the human resources (HR) are good in 19 (65.50%) cases, infrastructure is good in 12 (41.38%) cases, and the budget is good in 16 (53.20%) cases. Human resources, infrastructure, and the budget are positively and significantly correlated with the performance of NCD Posbindu, with correlation coefficients of HR (r=0.688), infrastructure (r=0.650), and the budget (r=0.598). The results of the Multiple Linear Regression test reveal that human resources, infrastructure, and the budget, when considered together, collectively affect the performance of NCD Posbindu, with an F value of 7.240, an adjusted R-squared value of 0.401, and a regression coefficient (β) of 18.799. Human resources, infrastructure, and the budget are related and significantly influence the performance of NCD Posbindu by 40.1%.
