Abstract

Distance learning presents its own challenges for students. In the midst of these challenges, teachers and parents have a role in the learning process of the student engagement. This study aims to determine the effect of Teacher and Parent Support towards Student Engagement at the level of high school students in Bandung. The Samples came from two private senior high schools (n = 188). The Sampling is using proportionate stratified random sampling technique. The measuring instrument used is The Student Engagement Scale with a reliability of .879, The Teacher Support Scale with a reliability of .950 and The Parent Support Scale with a Chi-square value = 2181.02, df = 804, p = 0.00, RMSEA = 0.067, NFI = 0.95, CFI = 0.97, SRMR = 0.055, and GFI = 0.81. The results of the study simultaneously show that there is a significant influence between Teacher Support and Parent Support on Student Engagement. The result of this research also shows that there is an effect of Teacher Support on Student Engagement and the influence of Parent Support on Student Engagement. The support provided by teachers and parents will increase student engagement in learning activities.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan menguji apakah ada peran subjective well-being dan dimensi attachment to God, yaitu avoidance of intimacy dan anxiety about abandonment terhadap resiliensi pada anggota jemaat dewasa madya dan akhir di Gereja X Jakarta Selatan, DKI Jakarta, Indonesia. Penelitian dilakukan pada 187 responden yang menjadi anggota jemaat dewasa madya dan akhir di Gereja X. Alat ukur yang digunakan untuk mengukur resiliensi adalah Resilience Quotient Test, untuk Subjective well-being (SWB) digunakan Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS) dan Scale of Positive and Negative Experience (SPANE), untuk dimensi avoidance of intimacy dan dimensi anxiety about abandonment pada Attachment to God digunakan Attachment to God Inventory. Teknik uji statistik dalam penelitian ini menggunakan regresi linear berganda. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan hasil signifikan bahwa subjective well-being dan dimensi attachment to God, yaitu avoidance of intimacy dan anxiety about abandonment secara simultan (dan parsial) berperan dan merupakan prediktor dari resiliensi anggota jemaat dewasa madya dan akhir di Gereja X, Jakarta Selatan, Indonesia. Penelitian ini dapat dikembangkan pada pemetaan aspek-aspek resiliensi yang mana yang sudah dihidupi dan aspek-aspek resiliensi yang mana yang masih perlu dikembangkan pada anggota jemaat dewasa madya dan akhir di Gereja X Jakarta Selatan, DKI Jakarta, Indonesia.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to see the effect of responding emphatically training to improve doctor's skill in emphatic response in Medicuss Group Bandung. The measuring tool that being used is the scenario questionnaire based on the theory of emphatic response (Hammand, 1997) as the dependent variable tool which consists 8 items. The validity of empathic response is examined using expert validity. The research data will be analysed using quantitative method. The resuly of this research shows there are some differences in emphatic response score of doctor in Medicuss Group Bandung before and after being given the responding empathically training. The theoritical suggestion for further research is conducted a similar study using the one group pre-post test design with time series method. Suggestions for the doctor in Medicuss Group are doctor can apply the lesson during responding empathically training which is useful to support in performing the role as doctor.
