Abstract

This study was to identify the interaction of several genotypes and the concentration of P60 on the quantitative characters  of large chili peppers and to determine the correlation between these two factors. This study used a 3x4 factorial randomized block design with 3 replications. The first factor is the genotype of large chili consisting of 3 levels, namely G1 : F7 Gada, G2 : Anies and G3 : Seloka 4-10-2-2. While the second factor is the concentration of P60 (K) consisting of 4 levels, namely K0 : 0%, K1 : 0,6%, K2 : 1,2% and K3 : 1,8%. Parameters observed were plant height at 30 DAP, stem diameter at 30 DAP, number of productive branches at 30 DAP, dichotomous height at 30 DAP, flowering age, number of fruit per plant, length per fruit, diameter per fruit, weight per fruit, thickness. Meat per fruit and yield potential. The results showed that there was an interaction between several genotypes pf large chili and the concentration of P60 which had a significant effect on the number of productive branches aged 30 DAP. The best treatment combination was found in the Seloka 4-10-2-2 treatment with a P60 concentration of 1,2%.Key words : Genotypes, Large Chili , Pseudomonas fluorescens, productive, Anies

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the level of resistance of the mutant genotype against anthracnose caused by Colletotrichum gloeosporioides in the M3 population of local Aceh chilies as a result of gamma irradiation. The experimental design used in this study was a non-factorial randomized block design (RAK) with three replications and 17 observation parameters. The factors studied included one local Aceh variety (Odeng) as the parent, four mutant genotypes (M3) with various levels of gamma ray irradiation doses and two national varieties (Kastilo and Laris) as comparisons. The results showed that the quantitative character of the D1-10-5 mutant genotype was the best on the parameters of fruit length, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant and plant productivity. The best D2-7-39 genotype on dichotomous height parameters, peroxidase enzyme activity in healthy leaves and peroxidase enzyme activity in sick leaves. The best D3-9-9 genotype on parameters of plant height, fruit diameter, weight per fruit, incidence of green fruit disease, intensity of green fruit disease and disease leaf peroxidase enzyme activity. The best genotype D3-9-34 on parameters of thickness of fruit flesh, incidence of red fruit disease, intensity of red fruit attack. The qualitative character of the young fruit color in the mutant genotypes D2-7-39, D3-9-34 and D3-9-9 gave rise to different characters from the elder varieties (odeng) and the comparison varieties of Castile and Laris, namely Dark Yellowish Green (3707). ). The color character of the intermediate fruit genotypes D1-10-5 and D3-9-34 produced a different color from the parent, namely Dark Redd Purple (9210).

Abstract

One of the efforts to increase the production of large chilies is to utilize organic sources such as kirinyuh (Chromolaena odorata L.). In addition to organic materials, the use of adaptable and high-yielding seeds is also an option in the development of large chili plants. This study aims to determine the effect of giving kirinyuh organic matter and several varieties on the yield components of large chili and the interaction between the two factors. This research was conducted at Experimental Farm 2, Faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University from May-October 2022. This study used factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor was the dose of organic matter left (D) consisting of 4 levels, namely control (D0), 10 tons ha-1 (D1), 20 tons ha-1 (D2) and 30 tons ha-1 (D3). The second factor was the chili variety (V) consisting of 3 levels, namely F1 Gada (V1), Anies (V2) and Seloka (V3). The results showed that the dose of kirinyuh organic matter of 10 tons ha-1 was able to increase the diameter of large chili pods. Meanwhile, the dose of kirinyuh organic matter of 30 tonnes ha-1 was able to increase the number of fruits, fruit weight per plant and yield potential of large chilies. The Anies variety gave better results on the characters of fruit number, fruit weight, fruit diameter, fruit weight, stalk length and yield potential of large chili plants. While the F1 Gada variety showed better results on fruit length characters. There was no interaction between the doses of kirinyuh organic matter and chili varieties on yield components.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how the growth and yield of ginger are affected by the growing media and varieties, and how they interact with each other. This research was conducted at the Gayo Lues Laboratory and PSDKU at the University of Syiah Kuala Gayo Lues. The design used in this study was a 4 x 2 Factorial Randomized Block Design with 3 replications, so there were 8 treatment combinations and 24 experimental units with a total of 72 plants. Plant height, number of tillers per clump, main stem diameter, fresh chestnut weight, tuber weight, tuber diameter, and dry chestnut weight were the parameters observed. The results of this study indicated that the media and variety treatment had a very significant effect on plant height at 120 HSPT. Stem diameter and fresh chestnut weight were significantly affected by the varietal treatment, as well as plant height and tuber weight, but not by other parameters. In ginger growth and yield, there was no significant interaction between growing media and varieties. The treatment of citronella waste and coffee peel waste planting media with red ginger varieties produced the best plant growth.

Abstract

Peningkatan kualitas buah cabai hias dapat dilakukan dengan hibridisasi. Namun teknik hibridisasi memerlukan waktu yang cukup lama untuk melihat individu baru unggul. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keberadaan efek metaxenia terhadap karakter buah pada hasil hibridisasi beberapa genotipe cabai hias IPB. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dari bulan Juli 2022 hingga November 2022 di Balai Pengkajian Teknologi Pertanian (BPTP) Aceh. Persilangan dilakukan secara resiprokal (full dialel) dengan 4 genotipe cabai hias yaitu Ayesha, Nazla, Violetta dan Syakira. Parameter yang diamati adalah jumlah Bunga persilangan, keberhasilan persilangan, keberhasilan pembentukan buah, umur panen, jumlah biji, bentuk buah dan bentuk buah yang berubah. Hasil penelitian menunjukan, persentase keberhasilan hasil hibridisasi paling tinggi didapatkan pada persilangan tangkar dalam Syakira dan persentase keberhasilan pembentukan buah paling tinggi didapatkan pada persilangan tangkar dalam Ayesha. Efek metaxenia muncul pada karakter umur panen, bentuk buah dan jumlah biji. Kombinasi persilangan Ayesha x Syakira menghasilkan variasi baru dalam bentuk buah yaitu almost round. Kombinasi persilangan Ayesha x Nazla menghasilkan jumlah biji paling tinggi yaitu sebesar 38,50 biji.
