Abstract

Metode pengusangan dipercepat dapat digunakan untuk menganalisis kualitas benih selama masa penyimpanan sehingga dapat menilai potensi kemampuan tumbuh benih setelah masa penyimpanan, selain itu perlakuan priming sebelum perkecambahan dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan perkecambahan benih terutama benih yang telah mengalami kemunduran selama masa simpan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat pengaruh dari Aclereted aging method dan lama nya inkubasi menggunakan larutan KNO3 terhadap viabilitas dan vigor benih kedelai varietas Gema yang dilakukan di Laboratorium Teknologi Benih Universtas Syiah Kuala Darussalam Banda Aceh. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan petak terpisah pola RAL dengan perlakuan AAM (Kontrol dan perlakuan AAM) sebagai petak utama dan Lamanya inkubasi (1 jam, 2 4 jam, 8 jam) sebagai anak petak. Parameter yang diamati adalah daya berkecambah, indeks vigor, T50 dan Kecepatan tumbuh relative. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Perlakuan aclereted aging methods (AAM) dengan suhu 400C kelembaban 100% selama 2 hari menyebabkan kemunduran kualitas benih kedelai yang ditunjukkan melalui parameter T50. Benih yang diberi perlakuan inkubasi dengan larutan KNO3 dan diberi perlakuan AAM menunjukkan respon yang negatif terhadap vigor benih kedelai

Abstract

This study was to identify the interaction of several genotypes and the concentration of P60 on the quantitative characters  of large chili peppers and to determine the correlation between these two factors. This study used a 3x4 factorial randomized block design with 3 replications. The first factor is the genotype of large chili consisting of 3 levels, namely G1 : F7 Gada, G2 : Anies and G3 : Seloka 4-10-2-2. While the second factor is the concentration of P60 (K) consisting of 4 levels, namely K0 : 0%, K1 : 0,6%, K2 : 1,2% and K3 : 1,8%. Parameters observed were plant height at 30 DAP, stem diameter at 30 DAP, number of productive branches at 30 DAP, dichotomous height at 30 DAP, flowering age, number of fruit per plant, length per fruit, diameter per fruit, weight per fruit, thickness. Meat per fruit and yield potential. The results showed that there was an interaction between several genotypes pf large chili and the concentration of P60 which had a significant effect on the number of productive branches aged 30 DAP. The best treatment combination was found in the Seloka 4-10-2-2 treatment with a P60 concentration of 1,2%.Key words : Genotypes, Large Chili , Pseudomonas fluorescens, productive, Anies

Abstract

Soybeans are staple food after rice and corn. Deterioration of soybeans seed during storage caused by soybeans composed of high lipid.  This study was conducted to investigate the effectivity of priming with various concentration turmeric extract on reduce deterioration soybeans seed during storage. The experiment was arranged in non factorial Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with four levels of turmeric extract concentration treatment, (control, 25%, 50% and 75%.).  The ageing process accelerated by subjecting the seeds to high temperature and relative humidity in a chamber (Deluche methods). Germination and vigour were evaluated periodically. The result showed that priming with turmeric extract could increase vigour and germination under ageing conditions. The 25% concentration  extract showed the  higher value of seed vigour than other concentration. Keywords : Soybeans, priming, turmeric extract, storage period.
