Abstract

The rate of population growth has an impact on the carrying capacity of the environment because the need for land is directly proportional to the increase in population growth, so land conversion can occur. The population growth rate of Bandar Lampung City reached 2.70% with a population in 2020 reaching 1,166,066 people and a built-up area of 9,920 hectares. The purpose of this study is to build a dynamic model of land resources in Bandar Lampung City by presenting a land suitability map for Bandar Lampung City, making a dynamic system analysis model for land resources and recommending policies for sustainable land resource management in Bandar Lampung City. The tools used are Stella, Acrgis and AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) applications. Based on land capability analysis, Bandar Lampung City has sufficient development capability. Based on the results of the AHP, the environmental aspect is a priority aspect in land resource management that supports sustainable development with an eigenvalue of 0.53 and the selection of scenario 1 is to maintain a protected area/limit with an eigenvalue of 0.56. The model is built from three sub-models, namely population sub-model, land use sub-model and economic sub-model. The model is validated by comparing the actual value and the simulated value. Statistical testing was carried out using the t-test with an acceptable deviation limit of 5%. The results of the scenario 1 simulation show that current resource management can still guarantee an increase in the built-up land for the next 20 years of simulation, but this must be followed by the addition of green open space (RTH) results. The need for green space must be met to support the balance with the built area. To maintain protected areas, namely implementing the fulfillment of green open space needs.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the enhancement of the scientific culture among students at the Mandailing Natal State Islamic College (STAIN) through the establishment of a Student Activity Unit (UKM) for Scientific Work and Research. A survey of 180 students across various study programs revealed that over 50% were unable to write scientific papers proficiently. Many students reported struggling with scientific writing techniques and expressed dissatisfaction with the guidance they received. This study employs qualitative methods, including interviews and document analysis, to identify the challenges students face and the role of the UKM in addressing these issues. The findings suggest that the formation of the Scientific Work and Research UKM at STAIN Mandailing Natal could be an effective solution to improving students' writing abilities. The UKM is designed to organize activities such as training sessions, seminars, and scientific writing competitions to foster a scientific culture among students. The study also compares the results with the success of similar UKMs at other universities, which have proven effective in supporting the development of students' scientific writing skills. It is hoped that, through this UKM, STAIN Madina students will be better equipped to meet increasingly complex academic demands and produce high-quality scientific work.

Abstract

Sustainable development has become a global priority that requires the integration of economic, social, and environmental goals. Islamic finance, which is based on maqashid sharia and ethical principles, offers a structured framework to align investment practices with the needs of sustainable development. This study examines how Islamic investment principles integrate with the SDGs by evaluating the contribution of Islamic financial instruments in Indonesia and identifying key challenges and opportunities. Using a qualitative descriptive desk research design, data was systematically collected from academic journals, official publications, and policy documents, then analysed through content analysis with source triangulation and peer-review. The findings show that green sukuk issuance has funded five renewable energy and sanitation projects, reduced carbon emissions, and generated risk-adjusted returns comparable to conventional sukuk with better risk management. Productive waqf schemes have channelled public capital into sustainable agriculture and education, improving food security and human capital, and corporate zakat programmes have encouraged the development of MSMEs. Portfolio studies show positive impacts on economic growth and social development, mediated by good governance and regulatory support. Nonetheless, gaps remain in terms of the availability of reporting standardisation, and investor literacy highlighting the need for harmonised frameworks and capacity building. The study concludes that Islamic financial instruments significantly advance sustainable development in Indonesia, and recommends regulatory incentives, standardised Islamic ESG reporting, sustainable thematic funds, and digital financial planning platforms to make the most of Islamic investment potential for a sustainable future.

Abstract

The Maghrib Mengaji program in Simangambat Tambangan Village plays a crucial role in maintaining the Qur'anic tradition within the community. This activity is held after sunset, specifically between sunset and Isha'. This program aims to improve children's understanding and skills in reading the Qur'an. In Simangambat Tambangan Village, there is great potential to develop this program, but challenges such as the lack of effective teaching methods, limited facilities, and the challenges of modernization often hinder the process of learning to recite the Qur'an and the formation of Qur'anic morals. To overcome these challenges, optimization strategies are needed, such as the implementation of Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Awaliyah (MDTA) as a complement to non-formal education, which also plays an important role in building the character and religious identity of the younger generation. With this additional program, it is hoped that children will be better prepared and more confident in learning to read the Qur'an properly and correctly. Furthermore, the community also needs to be involved in the planning and evaluation of the program to make it more relevant to their needs. With a collaborative approach and support from the Program Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) STAIN MADINA, it is hoped that the Maghrib Mengaji (Quranic Study Group) activity will provide maximum benefits to the community and foster a love of the Quran among children, the nation's younger generation
