Abstract

This study intend to determine the relationship between Animal Protein Consumption Levels with Stunting Incidence in Toddlers in Hantakan District, Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency. This research was carried out in the Hantakan sub-district, Hulu Sungai Tengah district. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research, while the analytical technique used is chi square analysis using the SPSS 20 application. Based on the results of the study from 60 samples, there were 22 children under five in the poor category, 18 under five in the moderate category and 20 in the good category. It can be concluded that the level of animal protein consumption is related to the incidence of stunting in Hantakan District, Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency, because the p-value = 0.001 < 0.005 results Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis pergeseran peran subsektor pertanian terhadap perekonomian Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Utara dan pengidentifikasian subsektor unggulan serta pertumbuhan subsektor unggulan yang memiliki potensi dalam meningkatkan perekonomian Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Utara atau penyumbang PDRB menggunakan tipologi Klassen, analisis overlay dan analisis shift share. Terjadi pergesaran pola struktur pertumbuhan subsektor perikanan dari kuadran III menjadi kuadran I mengalami pertumbuhan pesat dengan daya saing lebih tinggi dibandingkan wilayah lain di Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan sehingga menjadi subsektor unggulan di Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Utara. Subsektor pertanian, peternakan, perburuan, dan jasa pertanian dan subsektor kehutanan dan penebangan kayu menurun dari kuadran III menjadi kuadran IV. Kondisi subsektor perikanan yang membaik seharusnya didampingi subsektor lain yang bertahan atau meningkat pula agar pertumbuhan ekonomi di Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Utara meningkat secara keseluruhan. Subsektor yang mengalami penurunan tetap potensial untuk dicarikan solusi perbaikannya karena subsektor perikanan tidak memakai sumberdaya yang sama dengan subsektor lain atau tidak terjadi trade off penggunaaannya.

Abstract

This research aims to assess food consumption patterns in families with toddlers and their correlation with stunting among toddlers in Hulu Sungai Utara Regency, South Kalimantan Province. The study uses quantitative descriptive methods, including observation, interviews, note-taking, and 24-hour dietary recalls. It employs the Expected Food Pattern (EFP) approach to evaluate toddler food consumption patterns and Chi-Square analysis to explore links between these patterns and stunting. Food consumption patterns vary due to regional resources and cultural norms. Toddlers' average daily energy intake is 1222.7 kcal per capita, with a final EFP score of 83.5, indicating sufficiency but calling for more diversity. Higher EFP scores represent better dietary diversity and nutritional balance (max 100). Cereal foods contribute the most (43.8% % EAR), followed by oils and fats (12.1%), and animal-based foods (10.6%). Conversely, sugar (1.8%) and oily fruit seeds (4.1%) have the lowest % EAR. Chi-Square analysis reveals a significance level of 0.00 (<0.05), rejecting the null hypothesis (H0). Hence, a connection between Expected Food Pattern (EFP) and stunting in North Hulu Sungai Regency is established.
