Abstract

The use of a whiteboard eraser is unavoidable in teaching and learning activities. However, in its use, whiteboard erasers are often found that are easily damaged or of poor quality. Some things that can happen are the eraser cloth is torn, the cloth is detached from the place and the marker ink marks on the eraser body. The Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method approach is used to develop product designs in an effort to correct the shortcomings of the whiteboard eraser that has been used previously. The data obtained were obtained from questionnaires distributed to respondents by considering the statement attributes to determine the user's wishes. The results obtained from the overall planning matrix can be identified with the needs of the eraser user, namely the Interest Level with the highest value of 4.36, namely A12 (comfortable product to use), the highest Satisfaction Level of 4.07, namely A10 (Easy to absorb eraser fabric), Improvement Ratio with a value of The highest score is 1.35, namely A9 (the eraser body is made of lightweight and strong material) and Normalized Raw Weight with the highest value of 13%, namely A11 (the cloth material is not easily torn). The design of the V2 whiteboard eraser was designed in an effort to meet user needs with the QFD concept according to Indonesian anthropometric data and to obtain a product design in the form of a V2 whiteboard eraser which has a blue color with the addition of batik motifs and accessories, a body made of Dutch teak wood, type the fabric used is cotton, and the fabric/filling can be changed.

Abstract

Waste in an activity is a process that does not add value to the company. CV. DS produces various kinds of gloves and motorcycle riding equipment as well as outdoor equipment, in the production process waste is found, especially in the sewing section. The purpose of identifying waste through lean manufacturing is to increase customer value through continuous improvement through the value-to-waste ratio. The loss of waste can increase the effectiveness of the production line which can have an impact on increasing production output. The method used in the identification of waste is the Value Stream Mapping (VSM) approach through the Current State Map (CSM) and Future State Map (FSM). The results obtained indicate that 5 types of waste that occur, namely defects, inappropriate processing, excessive transportation, waiting, and unnecessary motion. In addition, it also obtained results in the form of a reduction in production lead time by 68.54 minutes and non-value added activities reduced by 68 minutes. This is expected to increase production output per day.

Abstract

This research was conducted to design packaging for typical Yogyakarta food products, Gudeg Jogja. Gudeg is known as a special food from the Special Region of Yogyakarta which is made from jackfruit cooked in coconut milk. As a typical food, Gudeg is often used as gift. Along with the need for Gudeg for souvenirs, various kinds of Gudeg packaging appeared on the market. The Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method is used to bring together what consumers want and then what producers can do to fulfill consumer desires. This method is used to design Gudeg packaging according to the needs of consumers. This product design development research uses a questionnaire as a data collection tool. The data is obtained from consumers and then processed. After knowing the results of data processing from the data that has been collected then a House of Quality is created. The result of this research is the design of Gudeg Jogja packaging that suits consumer needs.

Abstract

Kualitas menjadi faktor penting yagng berkaitan dengan kinerja perusahaan. Pengendalian kualitas ini diterapkan di berbagai perusahaan, salah satunya adalah PT. Kapuas Sawit, Sejahtera yang memiliki peremsalahan cacat bibit sawit yang tidak mampu diatasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor penyebab kecacatan pada produk bibit sawit. Selain itu, untuk memberikan usulan perbaikan yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas pada produk bibit sawit. Penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif melalui analisis data metode Fault Tree Analisys (FTA) dan metode Failur Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). Fault Tree Analisys (FTA). Hasil penelitian melalui metode FTA diperoleh faktor penyebab cacat kerdil, cacat diserang penyakit, dan cacat diserang hama adalah manusia, metode, dan lingkungan. Melalui metode FMEA usulan perbaikan yang dilakukan adalah dengan melakukan budidaya dengan perawaan intensif, melakukan perbaikan waktu istirahat dengan menerapkan sistem istirahat pendek untuk mengurangi dampak dari beban kerja, dan memberikan abu boiler menjelang dan selama musim kemarau. Peneliti berharap perusahaan lebih meningkatkan kualitas bibit sawit dan peneliti selanjutnya dapat mengembangkan penelitian ini.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Rosabonita Bakery is one of the small businesses in the bakery sector. UMKM Rosabonita Bakery accepts orders for making wet and dry cakes both individually and in large parties. MSME Rosabonita Bakery is located in Gumpang, Kartasura, Sukoharjo, Central Java. This is still done independently by the owner and the production site has not been designed professionally because it is still at home so there will be many hazards that can endanger safety at work. Based on observations in the Rosabonita Bakery production area, there are several Important Potential Hazards that need to be identified. This needs to be done in order to create an ideal Occupational Health and Safety in the workplace and also increase productivity. The results of this study are expected that Rosabonita Bakery SMEs can use the Hierarchy of Control in controlling the potential hazards that exist so that work accidents can be minimized.

Abstract

Quality is an important factor related to company performance. This quality control is applied in various companies, one of which is PT. Kapuas Sawit, Sejahtera which has a problem with palm seed defects that cannot be overcome. This study aims to identify the factors causing defects in palm seed products. In addition, to provide proposed improvements that can improve the quality of palm seed products. This study uses descriptive qualitative through data analysis of the Fault Tree Analisys (FTA) method and the Failur Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method. Fault Tree Analisys (FTAs). The results of the study through the FTA method obtained the factors causing dwarf defects, defects attacked by diseases, and defects attacked by pests are human, method, and environmental. Through the FMEA method, the proposed improvements made are to carry out cultivation with intensive stature, improve rest time by implementing a short rest system to reduce the impact of the workload, and provide boiler ash before and during the dry season. Researchers hope that the company will further improve the quality of oil palm seeds and that subsequent researchers can develop this research. Abstract

CV Renjana Offset is a printing company that produces yearbooks for export. In the production process, various types of rejects were found in the pack products, such as scratches, glue, tears, and problematic pop-ups, as well as in book products, such as reversed arrangement, broken threads, and shadows. This study uses the Cumulative Sum Control (CUSUM) method to analyze product quality and the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) to determine improvement priorities. The results showed an average reject of 3.96% with a total of 35.66% from November 2023 to July 2024, although there was an increase to 4.74% in July 2024. The cumulative CUSUM of 0.143 units with a monthly average of 0.016 units indicates consistent quality, but improvements are needed in operators and materials. The proposed improvements aim to reduce rejects and improve quality through structured and sustainable improvement actions.

Abstract

Various aspects of human life, including the local economy, have been significantly influenced by advancements in digital technology. The Gamelan asrtisans of Gombloh in Bibis, Bangunjiwo, Bantul, Yogyakarta, continue to face challenges in marketing and managing their businesses. This  community service program implements digital innovation in financial management and marketing of gamelan products to help sustain these enterprises. The technology-based activities include the application of online marketing strategies through e-commerce platforms and social media, as well as the creation of effective financial and production management systems. Additionally, training sessions  were conducted to enhace the knowledge and skills of gamelan artisan ini digital marketing.  Explores issues and creative ideas through by Focus Group Discussion (FDG). The results  of the program indicate that the implementation of digital technology has improved the efficiency of managing their businesses. The local community has also been strengthened by the collaboration among gamelan artisans fostered during this program. The positive response from the community towards gamelan Gombloh highlights the importance of integrating tradition with contemporary practices.  Overall, this program demonstrates that digital innovation is a crucial strategic step for sustaining the Gamelan artisans’ enterprises. By leveraging technology, they can preserve their businesses while also safeguarding Indonesia’s cultural heritage for future generations.

Abstract

Kota besar denga pemukiman yang padat membuat banyak genangan air yang tinggi hal ini disebabkan karena curah hujan yang tinggi serta resapan air tanah yang kurang dan banyaknya sampah yang menyumbat saluran air, untuk menanggulangi banjir dengan cepat salah satunya dengan cara memompa air agar cepat surut, tentunya dengan pompa air debit besar, untuk mendapatkan pompa air yang debitnya besar perlu dilakukannya pengujian debit pompa air dengan cara menganalisis pompa air menggunakan alat skat ukur segi empat, dengan metode ini nilai debit air yang dihasilkan oleh pompa air dapat diketahui. hasil perhitungan ketinggian air menggunakan skat ukur berbentuk segiempat pada ketinggian 9,5 cm didapatkan debit air sebesar 15.175,06 liter/menit.
