Abstract

Wound care is an action to prevent infection and accelerate wound healing. But in its implementation can increase the intensity of pain. The results of a preliminary study of 87.5% of the sample stated that the pain increased during wound treatment. To reduce pain, pain management is used both pharmacologically and non-faramacologically. Non-pharmacologically there are various techniques such as stimulus and massage kutaneus, distractions, ice and heat therapy, hypnosis and relaxation. This study aims to prove that there is a difference in pain intensity between using distraction techniques and relaxation during surgical wound treatment. This type of research uses quasi-experiments, the methods used are pre-test and post test graup design. The sample consisted of 30 respondents selected by means of sampling quotas then divided into two, namely 50% received distraction technical treatment and another 50% received relaxation treatment. Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic metabolic disorder caused by the pancreas not producing enough insulin or the body not being able to use the insulin it produces effectively. Diabetes will usually appear when you have entered the vulnerable age of 45 years who are overweight, so that the insulin in the body does not respond. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between modifiable risk factors for DM and the incidence of type 2 diabetes at the Janti Public Health Center, Malang. The research design used is a correlational method with a cross sectional approach. Collecting data in this study using questionnaires and medical records with the target respondents, namely patients in the working area of the Janti Health Center aged 45 years. There is a significant relationship between BMI, physical activity, hypertension, dyslipidemia, unhealthy diet and prediabetes with the incidence of type 2 DM at the Janti Health Center. The P values yield the order (0.000; 0.000; 0.000; 0.020; 0.002; 0.000 < 0.05). while the variables of central obesity and smoking with the incidence of type 2 DM did not find a significant relationship.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries in the world that still faces the risk of Malaria. Sarudik Subdistrict is one of the Malaria endemic areas in Central Tapanuli Regency with an Annual Parasite Incidence (API) rate in 2015 of 10.93%. The incidence of malaria is caused by direct contact between female Anopheles mosquitoes and humans and is supported by community behavior. This type of research is a descriptive research that aims to find out the knowledge and attitudes of the community towards malaria prevention in Pasir Village, Central Tapanu Regency. This research was conducted in May 2021. The population in this study was 1,282 households, the sample was obtained by 93 respondents. The data used are primary data and skunder data. The analyzed data descriptively are presented in the frequency distribution table.
