Abstract

Crabs shell is main waste product from pasteurization or canning industry of crabs. It contains high minerals content especially Ca and P. The objectives of this experiment were to produce crabs shell powder through two methods i.e. dry and wet methods and to evaluate their physicochemical characteristics include solubility of Ca and P. Production methods of crabs shell powder did not significantly affected the physicochemical properties; however, wet method produced slightly higher solubility of Ca and P than dry method. Crabs shell powder addition in different concentrations (0, 0.75, 1.50, 2.25, and 3.00%) into crackers product did not affect  significantly sensory parameters through scoring test, therefore the smallest and the highest concentration of crabs shell powder addition, namely formulas A and D, were chosen to be tested for their physicochemical properties. Formula D crackers obtained high number of Ca and P and significantly different from other formulas include commercial product, however formula A crackers had the highest solubility of Ca and P with values were 42.12% and 57.08% respectively.Keyword: calcium crackers, phosphorus, solubility, shell powder, crabs

Abstract

The Community Service (PKM) carried out by the author aims to train the community's abilities (especially MSEs) in making presto tilapia, increase innovation and diversification of presto processed foods and increase MSEs' income through diversity of production results. The method used is to provide education and practice to Uyung Sehati MSEs and Antakusuma University students. Education provided about Presto Tilapia Making as an Alternative to Increase the Selling Price of Quality Grade B Fish at Uyung Sehati UMK. Meanwhile, practice is making Nila Presto directly. This activity will be held on September 7 2023 starting at 08.00 WIB until finished. Location of activities at Micro and Small Enterprises (UMK) Uyung Sehati Jl. Swadaya RT.001 Sungai Kapitan Village, Kumai District, West Kotawaringin Regency. The results of the PKM show that the community and/or micro business actors have been able to make presto tilapia but still need assistance. Apart from that, the results of presto tilapia fish can be diversified into various flavors such as savory taste, white flesh color, soft texture with all parts edible, and a distinctive fish smell.

Abstract

One of the regions in Indonesia that has mangrove forests is Sukamara Regency, Central Kalimantan Province. With this location, this Community Service (PKM) will provide outreach regarding the understanding of the residents of Sungai Pasir Village about the Types, Characteristics and Habitat of Mangroves and 2) Planting Mangroves on the Coastal Coast of Sungai Pasir Village, Sukamara Regency. The method used is socialization in providing education to the community on the Coastal Coast of Sungai Pasir Village, Sukamara Regency. The PKM results show that there is cooperation between the community, the village government, representatives of the Watershed and Protected Forest Management Center (BPDASHL) and the Head of the Aquatic Resources Management Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Antakusuma University, Pangkalan Bun in preserving Mangroves.

Abstract

Hutan Mangrove Desa Sungai Bakau merupakan ekowisata dengan potensi sumberdaya alam yang belum dimanfaatkan secara maksimal. Pemanfaatannya hanya sebatas fungsi ekologisnya saja meski sudah dilakukan pemugaran pembangunan menjadi objek wisata. Konsep ekowisata halal diterapkan sebagai solusi dan pembeda dari ekowisata lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi ekowisata halal yang ada di kawasan Hutan Mangrove Desa Sungai Bakau dan strategi pengembangannya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan nonprobability sampling dengan jenis sampel termasuk dalam purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi, survei dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif, inferensia dan SWOT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa potensi ekowisata halal Hutan Mangrove Desa Sungai Bakau terdiri dari 3 aspek, yaitu ramah dan aman untuk keluarga, fasilitas dan pelayanan ramah untuk umat muslim, dan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap wisata halal dan pelestarian lingkungan. Strategi pengembangan ekowisata halal Hutan Mangrove Desa Sungai Bakau harus dilakukan secara agresif.
