Abstract

The ability to communicate using good and correct Balinese orally and in writing is the main goal of teaching Balinese. In written language and formal situations, such as the language used in the Balinese pidarta text, the standard Balinese language should be used, namely good and correct language. Based on the title, the discussion in this study is about the use of Balinese language in the Balinese pidarta text which is assessed from the level of phonology and morphology. The purpose of this study was to obtain a clear understanding of the errors in the use of Balinese language in the Balinese pidarta text. From the results of the analysis, it was concluded that the errors made by students were in the use of Balinese language from the phonological level as many as 19 or 39.58% and morphology as much as 29 or 60.42%. Based on the results of the study, (1) students should learn and practice more in applying the use of Balinese language which includes phonological and morphological levels. (2) teachers are advised to provide more and more frequent exercises in applying the use of Balinese language. (3) the school is advised to further improve the facilities and infrastructure by providing a guidebook for the use of the Balinese language.

Abstract

This study reveals the aspect of morality in the collection of short stories Semprong Puun by Ni Wayan Antari et al and its implications in learning literature. This study aims to obtain an overview of the aspects of morality contained and its implication in learning literature at Senior High School in the collection of short stories Semprong Puun by Ni Wayan Antari et al. This research uses qualitative research type. The method used in obtaining the data is the method of documentation or literature study. The results of data analysis show that some of the short stories in the collection of Semprong Puun short stories have moral values ​​such as honesty, being yourself, willingness to take responsibility, moral independence, moral courage, humility, being realistic, and critical. In their work, Ni Wayan Antari et al emphasize the value of humility as well as being realistic and critical. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it is known that the aspect of morality in the collection of short stories from Semprong Puun is relevant in learning literature in high school.

Abstract

Objek penelitian ini adalah kualitas pemakaian bahasa Indonesia pada abstrak skripsi mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Matematika Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pedidikan Universitas PGRI Mahadewa Indonesia. Terkait hal di atas, tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan pemakaian bahasa Indonesia pada abstrak skripsi mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Matematika Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pedidikan Universitas PGRI Mahadewa Indonesia. Teori yang digunakan untuk memecahkan masalah penelitian ini adalah bahasa Baku. Data dikumpulkan dan diolah dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif evaluatif. Dari hasil pengolahan data diketahui kuaitas penggunaan bahasa Indonesia pada abstrak skripsi mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Matematika, Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pedidikan Universitas PGRI Mahadewa Indonesia berkategori cukup.

Abstract

This study examines the use of social media as a learning medium in Indonesian language instruction at the senior high school level by analyzing its opportunities, challenges, and necessary mitigation strategies. Social media has the potential to enhance students’ learning motivation, active engagement, and creativity, while providing access to authentic language resources relevant to real-life contexts. However, its implementation also presents challenges, including learning distractions, the spread of inaccurate information, the decline of standard language usage, violations of academic integrity, and digital ethical issues such as privacy risks and cyberbullying. To address these challenges, this study proposes mitigation efforts encompassing the strengthening of digital and media literacy, systematic integration of social media into learning tasks, the enforcement of ethical guidelines and digital privacy protection, the application of authentic assessments to ensure academic integrity, and the provision of psychosocial support for students. The findings indicate that social media is not merely an alternative tool but a strategic necessity in Indonesian language learning in the digital era, requiring curriculum flexibility and enhanced teacher competencies. Further studies are recommended to explore long-term impacts and pedagogical effectiveness across diverse social contexts.

Abstract

The use of standard Indonesian among senior high school students continues to face challenges, particularly in spelling, diction, effective sentence construction, and paragraph development. The influence of informal language varieties, social media language, and code-mixing practices often affects students’ academic writing. This community service program aimed to strengthen students’ standard Indonesian proficiency through a Language Workshop Class at SMA Negeri Tampaksiring. The program employed a participatory training approach with four stages: pre-test, workshop implementation, module development, and post-test evaluation. The workshop was conducted in four sessions, covering (1) introduction to standard Indonesian and common errors, (2) identification of language errors in students’ own texts, (3) editing and revision practice, and (4) final text production and presentation. Data were collected through tests, observations, questionnaires, and analysis of students’ revised writing products. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ language proficiency. The average pre-test score of 61.8 increased to 83.4 in the post-test, with a gain of 21.6 points. Improvements were most evident in spelling and effective sentence construction, followed by diction and paragraph coherence. In addition, the program produced a Bengkel Bahasa module as a sustainable learning output for the school. These findings indicate that the Language Workshop Class is effective in improving students’ standard Indonesian proficiency and can serve as a practical strategy for strengthening academic literacy in secondary education.

Abstract

Calonarang dance drama is a traditional Balinese performing art form that serves religious, magical, aesthetic, and social functions in the Balinese Hindu community. This dance drama serves not only as a form of entertainment but also as part of a cultural ritual passed down through generations. However, the development of modernization and changing interests of the younger generation have led to various challenges facing the survival of traditional arts groups, including those faced by the Calonarang Balian Batur dance drama group in Tumbak Bayuh Village, Mengwi District, Badung Regency. The main challenges include the limited regeneration of young dancers and musicians, limited artistic development, and suboptimal performance management and documentation. This community service activity aims to support the preservation of Calonarang Balian Batur dance drama by strengthening the artistic capacity and fostering the regeneration of group members. The methods used include participatory observation, interviews, dance technique training, character and expression strengthening workshops, and mentoring in rehearsals and performances. The results of this activity indicate an increase in the artistic abilities of members, increased participation of the younger generation, improved performance quality, and growing public awareness of the importance of preserving traditional Balinese arts. Thus, this mentoring program has a positive impact on the sustainability of arts groups and the strengthening of the local cultural identity of the Tumbakbayuh Village community.
