Abstract

Study of Damage level on Ulin Seedlings (Eusideroxylon zwageri) in the Shade House and Open area. This research was conducted in the Nursery of Balai Perhutanan Sosial dan Kemitraan Lingkungan  Banjarbaru. The objectives of this study was to analyze the frequency, intensity, and  damage level  caused by pests and diseases in the shade house and open area. The results showed the attack frequency of pest and disease were 38 seedling in the shade house and 49  in open area.  The attack intensity of pest and disease was 25% in the  shade house and 98% in open area. The level of damage of seedlings due to pest and disease attacks in the shade house were relatively light and in the open area were classified as moderateKeywords: Pest; Diseases; Ulin; Shade house; Open area

Abstract

The aims of this research was to compare the respon of ramin seedlings growth by giving the different Plant Growth Regulator (PGR) concentrations and frequencies. Benefits of this research is to give information on ramin seedlings growth response to the provision of PGR on the growth of ramin seedlings useful in the development of sylvicultural technique for ramin hatchery to expedite the growth. This Research using experimental method by the difference concentration of Plant Growth Regulator (PGR), 0 % , 5% and 10 %, the frequencies of aplications were every 3 and 7 days. Data was analyzed using factorials randomized completely design (CRD). The results of this research showed the best of additional leaves and height of seedlings with the greatest value was in concentration of PGR  5%  and the frequency of aplication every 3 days, with each everages 1.11 leaves and 0.77 cm. Abstract

This research aims to know the percentage of life on each treatment and to analyze the growth response of kayu putih (Melaleuca cajuputi) to the Various combination of Filicium sp. leaf litter compost and manure as seedling media. This research was held at Shadehouse Faculty of Forestry University of Lambung Mangkurat Banjarbaru, for 3 months. The data was analyzed using Completely Randomized  Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 10 replications, so it gained 40 experiment units. The treatments were A =Top soil 100% as control, B = Top Soil + Filicium Leaf Litter Compost.  C =  Top Soil + Filicium Leaf Litter Compost + Cow Manure. D = Top Soil + Filicium Leaf Litter Compost + Goat Manure. The results showed that living percentage was 100%  for each treatment. The ANOVA shows there was non significant differences for all treatments and all growth parameters (increase in height and trunk diameter). Combination of seedlings media Top Soil + Filicium Leaf Litter Compost + Goat Manure (D) showed the best growth to all parameters (increase in height 17.6 cm and trunk diameter 1.03 mm). Goat manure in the media composition is able to increase the seedlings growth. Keywords: Growth; Kayu Putih; Filicium Litter Compost

Abstract

ABSTRACT,This study aims to analyze the effect of duration of seed soaking on percentage of seed germination of cinnamon.This study appliedthree treatments and five replications. Each treatment consisted of 10 seedst, so the number of seedsneeded was 150 seeds. The treatments were duration of seed soaking of 12 hours, duration of seed soaking of 24 hours, and without seed soaking (control). The analisis model used was a completely randomized design. The results of this study showed that duration of seed soaking significantly affected the percentage of seed gemination of cinnamon. The highest percentage of germination was obtained from the seeds soaked for 24 hours (90%) followed by the seeds soaked for 12 hours (76%), and the lowest one was gained from the seeds without treatment/control (62%).Keywords: Seed, cinnamon; percentage of germination.ABSTRACT, Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis persentase perkecambahan benih kayu manis. Penelitian ini menggunakantiga perlakuan dan lima ulangan. Setiap perlakuan terdiri dari 10 benih kayu manis, sehingga jumlah benih yang digunakan adalah sebanyak 150 benih. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah prendaman benih dengan air biasa selama 24 jam, 12 jam, dan tanpa perendaman. Model analisis yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa persentase perkecambahan tertinggi diperoleh dari perlakuan perendaman benih selama 24 jam (90%) diikuti olehperlakuan perendaman benih selama 12 jam(76%), dan persentase perkecambahan benih terendah diperoleh dari benih yang tidak diberi perlakuan/kontrol (62%). perlakuan tanpa perendaman sebesar 62%.Kata kunci: Benih, kayu manis, persentase perkecambahan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the live percentage of rubber grafting seeds in each treatment, analyzing the effect of ZPT concentration on growth and concentration of ZPT which gives the best growth against grafting seeds. Data analysis using Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with 4 treatments and repeated as many as 10 times, which amounted to 40 units of experiments. The time required for this study is ± 3 months. The equipment used is ruler, plastic label, polybag, sprinkler, camera, computer, stationery and measuring cup while the materials used are rubber grafting seeds PB 260 age 2 months, growth regulators (ZPT), and water. The data obtained from the first observation is done by Smirnov Kolmogorov test to know the normality and for the homogeneity test of variance done by Barlett test. The results obtained from this study is the live percentage of rubber grafting seedlings PB 260 for each treatment 100%. The treatments showed significant effect on leaf number parameter with average value A0 = 8,5, A1 = 9,7, A2 = 12,6 and A3 = 10,5. Based on the difference test the average treatment price of A2 (5ml ZPT / 1 liter of water) significantly different to other treatment. While the height increase of shoots did not show any real effect.Keywords: growth of seedling; PB 260 rubber grafting seedling; growth regulator

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persentase hidup rotan, pengaruh pemberian pupuk bio organik cair terhadap pertumbuhan bibit rotan dalam hal pertambahan jumlah daun, dan dosis pupuk bio organik cair yang memberikan pertumbuhan terbaik terhadap bibit rotan. Hasil data persentase hidup rotan yang menunjukan nilai 100%, maka persentase hidup bibit rotan tersebut dapat dikatakan berhasil. Perlakuan pemberian pupuk bio organik cair memiliki pengaruh yang nyata terhadap pertumbuhan bibit rotan dan memberikan pertumbuhan terbaik terhadap bibit rotan jernang sampai dengan umur 7 bulan adalah 100ml/ liter air pada pertambahan jumlah daun.

Abstract

Good germination of rattan seed (DaemonoropsdracoBlume) will increase the germination rate, germination rate, and germination rate. However, to germinate undergoes any obstacles because the seed of jernangrattan has a period of dormancy. The immersion in cold water or at normal temperature (28o - 32o C) is one way that can be used to break the dormancy period of the seed. This study aims to determine the long immersion to the value of germination of rattan seed jernang (D. dracoBlume). This study used 3 treatments and 1 replication. The treatment in this research is soaking time without immersion (control), soaking for 24 hours, and 48 hours. The result research is that the long immersion has the effect on germination of rattan seed jernang (D. dracoBlume). The results showed that the best percentage of rattan seed germination (D.dracoBlume) got the preliminary treatment with water immersion for 24 hours with a percentage of 80%. The best seed germination rate is at 48 hours of water immersion treatment at 33.89% / day. The highest germination rate was found in seeds treated by water immersion for 48 hours with an average of 0.0122% / day.Keywords : germination capacity; rotan jernangPerkecambahan benih rotan jernang (Daemonorops draco Blume) yang baik akan meningkatkan daya kecambah, laju perkecambahan,dan nilai perkecambahan. Namun demikian untuk mengecambahkan masih terdapat kendala, karena benih rotan jernang memiliki masa dormansi. Perendam dalam air dingin atau pada suhu normal (28o - 32o C) merupakan salah satu cara yang dapat digunakan untuk mematahkan masa dormansi benih. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui lama perendaman terhadap nilai perkecambahan benih rotan jernang (D. draco Blume ). Penelitian menggunakan 3 perlakuan dan 1 ulangan. Perlakuan pada penelitian ini adalah waktu perendaman yaitu tanpa perendaman (kontrol), perendaman selama 24 jam, dan 48 jam. Hasil penelitian yang didapat adalah lama perendaman berpengaruh terhadap perkecambahan benih rotan jernang ( D. draco Blume ). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase perkecambahan benih rotan jernan ( D.draco Blume ) yang terbaik yaitu yang diberikan perlakuan pendahuluan dengan perendaman air selama 24 jam dengan persentase sebesar 80%. Laju perkecambahan benih yang terbaik adalah pada perlakuan perendaman air selama 48 jam yaitu sebesar 33.89 %/hari. Nilai perkecambahan tertinggi terdapat pada benih yang diberikan perlakuan perendaman air selama 48 jam dengan rata – rata sebesar 0.0122 %/hari.Kata kunci : daya perkecambahan; rotan jernang
