Abstract

ABSTRACTThe labor process is faced with a critical condition for the problem of emergency labor, so it is expected that labor is carried out in a health facility. This study aims to factor factors related to the selection of houses as a place of birth in the working area of Sigambal Public Health Center, South Labuhanbatu Regency in 2019. The type of research used in this study is analytic observational research. The population in this study were all mothers who had given birth at home in the work area of Sigambal Public Health Center, South Labuhanbatu Regency from March to December 2018 as many as 46 people. Samples were taken using total sampling, namely the entire population into samples. The instrument used was a questionnaire of factors in choosing a house as a place of delivery. The results of the bivariate analysis show there are 3 independent variables that are statistically related, namely the income, knowledge and attitude variables with p-value 0.05 The conclusion of this study is that knowledge, attitudes and income are proven to be factors that are related to the choice of home as a place of birth. It is suggested to need cooperation between the SIGAMBALVillage Head and community leaders, religious leaders, village midwives and Sigambal Community Health Center to develop village regulations that must be delivered in health facilities. . Abstract

Computer network performance is very important in supporting various digital activities, but systems often cannot accurately predict changes in performance, which can cause service disruptions and economic losses. This research aims to implement the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm to increase the accuracy of network performance predictions based on parameters such as latency, packet loss, throughput and jitter. Data is collected through network simulation and real data monitoring, then processed with normalization and selection of relevant features. The SVM model is tested with various kernels, including linear, RBF, and polynomial, to find the best configuration. Performance evaluation uses accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and ROC-AUC metrics, with cross-validation to increase the reliability of the results. The results show that the RBF kernel provides a prediction accuracy of 92%, higher than baseline methods such as Decision Tree and Logistic Regression. This model shows its potential to be applied in computer network monitoring systems to predict network performance in real-time, with the possibility of wider implementation in artificial intelligence-based network applications. Therefore, this research not only contributes to machine learning theory in the field of computer networks, but also provides practical solutions that can improve the management and optimization of network performance in various environments that require fast and accurate data processing.

Abstract

Behavioral change toward a healthy lifestyle in rural communities remains a major challenge requiring strategic and sustainable approaches. Social marketing has proven to be an effective tool in promoting behavior change through communication, education, and empowerment. This study aims to examine the application of social marketing education to improve health awareness and behaviors among rural communities, focusing on hygiene, balanced nutrition, and prevention of infectious diseases. The research uses a qualitative descriptive approach involving observation, interviews, and secondary data analysis from governmental and non-profit health promotion programs. The findings indicate that community-based social marketing, supported by local leaders and media, successfully increased participation in health and nutrition activities by up to 68%. The study concludes that social marketing education can effectively promote healthy behavioral changes when integrated with local cultural values and active community engagement.
